I am running OSX 10.6.7 and Firefox 3.6.12. Although I regularly receive update notices for Firefox I cannot download them -- the download progress bar keeps on grinding with no end.

Only iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPod touch 3 and iPod touch 4 can go beyond 4.2.1.
Also, there's nothing wrong with iTunes.

I have been unable to update iTunes on my Windows PC. An error message keeps coming up saying a .dll is missing. My daughter has experienced the same issue with her PC. No problems with my iMac or iOS devices. I thought I may have some corrupted files, so I deleted iTunes and attempted to download it. The same error message came up, and now I don't have iTunes on my PC. Has anyone experienced a problem with an update of iTunes on a Windows based PC?

If you can, have the admins take a look at the ActiveSync logs. Something's definitely not right. I can't imagine what it would be on the phone, though assuming the Exchange account is set up the same on all of the devices. -

Same thing here. I love how they include this nice and easy to follow guide in the box and the KEY step for activation (the phone call) is a total fail. To verizon: the automated just says Terms and Conditions have been accepted for this number. Press 1 to enter another phone number in the order. Well, I HAD NO other phone number in my order. The message gives no other options. She repeats the same line 3 more times and after the 3rd time, it says please hold while we transfer you, call may be monitored etc. Guess what, its 2 am ET and customer service is closed?
Do you guys expect thousands of iphone customers to speak to a CSR just to activate? Why not just let us do it online? I have activated plenty of phones even LTE phones, online. Now I'm going to have to compete with the other 30,000 people who ran into this same problem overnight tomorrow on the phone.... -

How does one continue to use Mail on the early MacBook Pro, Model 1,1, that is not upgradable to Lion? I have been running iCloud on my iPhone (OS5) and iMac (Lion) along with the MacBook Pro (OS Version 10.6.8) since November until now. Mail will no longer download on the MacBook Pro and keeps asking for my password.
Mail should still be usable with your machine - but you'll need to update the settings to conform to the requirements of your system. Check with your ISP (like ATT, etc.) for the settings that will work with your Mail. Once you've updated this, you should be able to email like before.
For example, my ISP required that I go to Mail Preferences/Accounts and make sure the details conform to your email settings.
I have no idea of what your ISP is or what the settings might be, but this is likely the source of the problem. -
I have been unable to update Firefox 12 using a dialup connection. I have tried repeatedly.
I am using a dial up connection. I have tried several times to update to FF 12. most connections are 24 at best usually at night. The last download showed Firefox scanning for viruses. I have been unable to locate the downloads anywhere. Very often the download just disappears before finishing. I have tried 4 times.This connection is at a weekend home where the computer is used infrequently. Down loads are difficult at all times due to the very slow connection.
Before upgrading to FF 12, you might look at all the other horror stories on here associated with the upgrading to 12 and all the people still trying to get it to work. That's doesn't mean it won't work on your computer but there could be a high probability, especially if you have a lot of processes running and plugins installed.
See other problems on this forum and then decide. People have been returning back to older versions (11) or going to Beta 13. Due to the size of the initial download (exe file), you can put it on a flash drive from a friend's computer and then run it on yours. FF 9.0.1 is 14 Meg alone. not sure about other versions.

I have a Mac Book Pro with OS X 10.6.8If your profile is correct you are using 10.6.8 Snow Leopard. The latest iTunes version for that OS is 11.3.1 If your profile is wrong and you have 10.9.5 Mavericks, then the iTunes version is 11.4. You cannot use Mavericks versions on Snow Leopard.

If you have an iPad 1, the max iOS is 5.1.1. For newer iPads, the current iOS is 6.0.1. For the iPad Mini the iOS is 6.0.2. The Settings>General>Software Update only appears if you have iOS 5.0 or higher currently installed.

If you are currently running an iOS lower than 5.0, connect the iPad to the computer, open iTunes. Then select the iPad under the Devices heading on the left, click on the Summary tab and then click on Check for Update.
Tip - If connected to your computer, you may need to disable your firewall and anitvirus software temporarily. Then download and install the iOS update. Be sure and backup your iPad before the iOS update. After you update an iPad (except iPad 1) to iOS 6.x, the next update can be installed via wifi (i.e., not connected to your computer).

I have been struggeling for days to update my Iphone software to V5.1. On my desktop PC with uninterrupted ADSL I received a message "error in connection" and operation tmed out" I have used my laptop (with no previous Itunes programs) installed Itunes and connected my Iphone 4S. I installed OS Yosemite and I got the following message "The Photo Library needs to be upgraded to work with this version of iPhoto. I clicked Updgrade, but it has been two days and it hasn't been able to upgrade my library and none of my picture are showing. Don't know what to do. Please help.
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In early versions of Library Manager it's the File -> Rebuild command. In later versions it's under the Library menu.)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

Does Mozilla not publish lifecycle dates for Firefox? The reason I am inquiring further, is that our intention is to have upgraded the product we are currently running by late August of next year. I was trying to determine if 3.6 would be supported through August of 2012. I probably should have been more specific with my initial post. -
I am using an older windows computer with Windows XP and iTunes 11.0.5.5. Since upgrading my iPhone and iPad my system will not allow me to connect the devices to my iTunes -- it notes I need to upgrade to iTunes 11.5. However using automatic updates or manual update I can not update iTunes -- I get an error message the older windows iTunes could not be removed. I can not remove iTunes using control panel -- an older install/uninstall file is evidently missing. All of my music is contained on my PC -- more music is on my PC than I store on my other devices and I don't want to loose those music files nor permission to access those music files. Does anyone have a solution to uninstalling and upgrading windows iTunes without losing my music. I would like to be able to connect my iPhone and iPad to my PC again. RS
