I have been using OS X Lion for years. Last night I updated to OS X Yosemite. Now I cannot update either my iPhoto nor iMovie. How do I fix this? Telling me to go to the Support at App Store is not helpful as they are oriented to my MacBook Pro and not toward the theft of my iPhoto or iMovie. Is there any way around the App Store mismanagement of AppleID for these applications?

What happens when you try to download the new iPhoto and iMovie? Do you get any message and if so what is it? What do you mean by "theft of my iPhoto or iMovie"? Who do you think stole them?
One trick to try is to move the iPhoto and iMovie apps to the Trash in the Dock but don't empty as yet. Then go to the App Store and try to download the apps again.

This has nothing to do with your pictures. As long as LR works, nothing happens. The CC app merely has lost an entry in the installer database. Would a reinstall fix it? Sure. Is it necessary? Not really (until the next version or update). So unless you have too much time to spend or something isn't working, I'm sure you can find more interesting things to do with your tiem. Otherwise use the cleaner tool and get to it:

I figured it out. You have to have location services turned on specifically for the native weather app. My husband already did and that's why his was working. In the previous ios, I chose to disable location services to save battery and had the widget set to show weather for my home city regardless of where I was. Now that doesn't appear to be an option. Hopefully it won't drain my battery too much.

Check the box's documentation to find out what drive formats it's capable of reading. Very few, if any, non-Apple devices natively support drives formatted as Mac OS Extended.

iOS upadates are NOT in the App Store. Also, 1st gen iPads do not run iOS 6. 5.1.1 is the most recent version for that model.
You will need to connect the iPad to a computer running itunes in order to update form anything prior to 5.0. Update over WiFi wasn't available until 5.0.

I have also read that you should tell itunes that you are moving the music, but my old laptop cannot be read when it is on. Is there any other way tofix this issue? I don't want to have to buy over 100 songs which I already have.

Other add-ons, like BetterPrivacy, have been installed and enabled, but do not appear in the Tools drop-down menu either. Uninstalling and reinstalling does not help. I am using version 3.6.13 of Firefox.

I want to sign up for a subscription to adobe cc. I have recently used fully used my 30 day trial, and when I decided to purchase it, my creative cloud desktop app wouldn't let me. It kept saying I had no internet connection (I tried a few different internet connections to be sure it wasn't my internet). I then uninstalled the creative cloud, as well as all the products. For a while I kept getting error 201, and 207 when I tried downloading the cc app again.
I have now used a mac cleaner to fully remove adobe. When I tried to download it again, it downloaded fully. But when I click on the apps tab, it says 'Download Error'.

Pop up windows appear when using RP Data but the window is empty IE no data is displayed. How can I fix this?

The real estate information web site, RP Data, has a mapping feature that should display a site map of the property being searched in a pop up window and it is this particular pop up that doesn't work; other pop ups work EG Google Street View.

If there is a problem with searching via the default about:home page then try to reset the search engine used on the about:home page.
Reset the browser.startup.homepage_override.mstone pref via the right-click context menu to the default on the about:config page and close and restart Firefox to restore the about:home page to its default.

Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
