I have been watching a rental movie and the audio cut out half way through, tried restoring the apple TV now I've lost the rental.

I have just been watching (The  Adjustment Bureau) a rental movie and about half way through the audio cut out, I tried rerunning the chapter but still the same problem so I tried the restoring function and now I have lost the 48 hrs viewing of the movie. So how do I get the movie back without paying for it again and is this problem likely to reoccoure and if so how do I rest without loosing the movie?

Hi David.
This must be a glitch in the movie file on the iTunes server because my husband and I just reached the same point in he film (The Adjustment Bureau) and no audio! Totally cuts out and doesn't come back in. We tried the same - turned off, signed out, and also couldn't see the rental in the menu... Sign out, sign back in and click 'Check for rentals' in the 'General' menu just under where you signed in.
It may come up with a negative 'no more rentals can be found' or similar but go back to the main screen and check anyway. It should be there.

If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copies of the dodgy tracks and try redownloading fresh copies. For instructions, see the following document:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
Otherwise, I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the items that are not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the items, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" links next to the items.

All you need to do is go to the iTunes store, and then go to purchased in the right side of iTunes store.  It is under the quick links.  Then you will be able to download the past purchases there.

  • HT203167 just downloaded a music album and most of the songs cut off half way through i redownloaded the album and have the same problem

just purchased an album and most of the songs cut off half way through

Try again. Delete the copies of the corrupt tracks from your iTunes library, go to the iTunes Store home page, click the Purchased link from the Quick Links section in the right-hand column, then select Music and Not on this computer. You should find download links for your tracks there. In the downloads window remove the tick (if present) from Allow simultaneous downloads.
If the problem persists contact the iTunes Store support staff through the report a problem links in your account history, or via Contact Support.

  • When i publish the movie to youtube, the sound gets cut out half way through.  help?

I'm trying to publish a short movie to youtube.  It plays fine in the editing screen, but when I publish it, half way through, the sound cuts out on the video.  There's still some background music that's playing, but the voices get cut out.  I've tried republishing it in a different size and the sound cuts out at the exact same place.  Any suggestions?

  • Having trouble syncing and some tunes cut off half way through play

    Hi,
I've downloaded some tunes from Itunes and wanted to sync them on to my ipod only a few of the tracks are transfering and some of the tracks that I have bought only play half way and then cut off. Can anyone suggest a solution.
    Regards
    Jim

Assuming they play OK in iTunes on the coputer
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Unsync/delete all music and resync
To delete all music go to Settings>General>Usage>Storage>Music>Tap edit in upper right and then tap the minus sign by All Music
    - Restore from backup. See:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

All you need to do is go to the iTunes store, and then go to purchased in the right side of iTunes store.  It is under the quick links.  Then you will be able to download the past purchases there.

    - Are you saying that they are not listed in your Purchased section?
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
    - Are they listed in your Puchases history when you log into your account on your computer?
    - Are they still available now for purchase? If not then you are out of luck
If they are still available and listed in your Puchase History then contact iTunes

I'm not sure about that. But what you could try is to set the Update Preference to "Manual" and try updating at a time when the Network may not be as busy, like late at night or early in the morning.
    Just an idea.

Could be a bad inverter cable, that's a classic symptom.

  • Stutters and logging out half way through movies

Hi all, At first I thought this was just me. I had created a couple of trailers in iMovie which played fine on everything but the AppleTV. That continuously dropped frames every second, turning smooth video into something that is jittery and unpleasant to watch.
But now it did the same thing with The Girl Who Played With Fire which I rented last night. Up until that point, rented movies have always been fine.
In addition, in both the last two films we have rented, the AppleTV has suddenly stopped playing the film at some point (about half ways through one and only 10 mins into the other) and dropped back to the menus.
Why I don't know, but the film would not be showing as ready to play and investigating the settings would so that I had been logged out of iTunes. Once I log back into iTunes, I can then restart the film and everything seems to be fine after that.
    Any ideas?

    Hello Ellekell,
I'd recommend deleting the movie, then redownloading it from the iTunes Store.

  • I have five buttons with audio attached to each button. When I publish in html5 and test the buttons the audio cuts out at random times. Any suggestions. I have the latest version of Adobe Captivate 7

Can someone please help me with this problem I cannot see how simply attaching audio to a button can be so problematic. I have no idea how to fix this.

I am using CP8 and have found similar issues. When using the responsive project, my slides with multiple buttons have audio attached via advanced actions that will cut out if a user attempts to click another button before the first has finished playing. When the user listens to the entire audio file attached to the button, there are no issues with audio btw. I have tried attaching it to the button, but it plays when the button appears rather than on success. Furthermore, setting it to play audio on success is a problem because there are multiple actions that must be completed for each button. I have also found that setting audio any other way besides through advanced actions can create an audio overlap of more than one audio file. I haven't been able to find a way to time the advanced action or slide so that the user cannot click through the buttons without hearing all of the audio first.
Any ideas on how to get around this problem would be fantastic if it doesn't require an entire rewrite. If I wasn't already 86% through the course development, I would use buttons to initiate branching scenarios which would fix a lot of my issues, but don't want to start over at this point.
