It is an international warranty. However, if India does not have Apple stores (I find none listed here:)

It will not work no matter how many times you choose to restore your iPod touch. If it is blocked than it is blocked. So prern do not restore your iPod. It will take up your time and will be a waste. Listen to stedman1 and Dave Sawyer. An by the way, Facetime is available on iOS 4...so again you are wrong. -

Yes it will work fine in Egypt. it might even be better since an Egyptian iPod might not have FaceTime.

The warranty for an iPod is international (that is not the case for an iPhone). Thus, you can have ti serviced/exchanged in India.

I have an iPod Touch 4G and i noticed soon after i bought it that the screen was slightly separated from the back metal plate on the top right corner, and I didn't have any problems up until a few days ago. The touch screen doesn't work properly in most places, and that is getting very annoying! So, my question is, can I get a replacement and if so which model would i get, the 4g or 5g?( I'm a little confused about which one I would get IF I were to get a replacement.) I would like an answer asap please!
If under warranty and not abused Apple will exchange your iPod for a refurbished one of the same mode.. Sorry, no upgrade.

You should use your backup copy of your computer to put everything on the new computer.
The sync is one way - computer to ipod.
The ipod will sync with one computer at a time. Syncing to another will erase teh content from the ipod. -

If FaceTime is not hidden by Restrictions (Settings>General<Restrictions) you got duped. iPods officially sold in Dubai and some other countries that prohibit FT do not have FT and there is not way to get FT on those iPods.

Bought my ipod touch 4g from apple's official reseller on 21st November 2012. Purchase slip says warranty ends on 20th November 2013. But apple website says its 19th November 2013 when I put in my ipod's serial number. Why is that? When I bought the ipod, the salesman told me that the latest ios is not installed, so I typed in my apple id and passowrd and opened the ipod, then they started donwloading the latest ios. During the download, I went out of the store for sometime, then i got back after 10 minutes and had to put my id/password again to begin with the new ios. Was my ipod exchange within this time? Why in a computerized system, If I have bought an ipod on 21st November 2012, it says the warranty expires on 19th Novembner 2013? Not unless it was found to be defective, and that would not reset the warranty on the original serial number.

Sometimes it's just wrong. Perhaps the reseller entered in the sales date incorrectly. Call Apple support and discuss the problem with them. They may ask you to fax them a copy of your receipt.

You'll probably have difficulty convincing them that the scratch wasn't there when you brought it in, but you can go back to the store and talk to them about it.

I previously had an ipod nano but now have an ipod touch, when I synced it for the first time I got songs on to the ipod which I dont want, I have tried unticking them in itunes library and this doesnt work. Is your device recognized by your computer? If yes, copy the pictures and videos as shown in this article:
Copying personal photos and videos from iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to your computer
If it is not recognized, try this first: iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows
Disable autosync in iTunes, right click on it in the device list and choose "transfer purchases" to copy apps and other media bought in iTunes to your new library.
Do the same again and choose "backup", to create a manual backup without syncing.
Since your device will be erased due to the new iTunes library during the first sync, you can use this backup afterwards to restore your settings and data.
Set up at least one contact and event on your computer before you start, to be able to merge calendars and contacts. -
I have an ipod touch (4th gen) and just bought a clock/charger/player. It says I need ios 4.3. I keep getting a message saying I can download ios 6.? but that it will wipe everything off my ipod. Is there any way to get the ios without wiping out my files?
There is no supported method to "downgrade" iOS on any device. If you update, you will get the latest iOS for your device, which will be iOS 6.1.3. You cannot go backwards to iOS 4.3
If you have never backed up in either iCloud or iTunes, then upgrading to iOS 6.1.3 will involve restoring your device as part of the upgrade. Without a backup to restore from, you will loose everything that is on it.
You should first connect to iTunes with your computer, sync your device without upgrading and create an up to date backup of everything. Then use the upgrade option in iTunes to update your iOS.
However, if the dock device strictly requires iOS 4.3, it will not work, as you cannot downgrade iOS. There simply is no mechanism from Apple to do that. -
I just bought iPod touch 8GB put it in iTune and it show only 34Mb available. and it been use up 6.2GB show from the iTune Summery as "OTHER 6.2 GB" so I don't have enoght space to sync any much application for my kids. I got iPhone and another ipod touch (32GB) but it has a lot of space available...I just can't fix it out what OTHER 6.2GB used came from?Other can be files that the iPod has "lost" or can no longer recognise.
So either you bought this second hand and it had someone else's stuff on it, or you were unlucky and the first Sync of your iPod to iTunes resulted in a lot of "Other".
Conect the iPod to iTunes and on the Device/Summary pane (tab) look for and select the Restore button. -

If you still have the apps on the iPod you can delete them from the computer and then transfer the apps from the iPod t the computer by:
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to a computer
Next would be to look in your computer backups file for a version of the apps that works with the iOS on the iPod.
Otherwise you are out of luck.
