Your phone is in recovery mode.  All data on it are already lost.  You must connect your phone to your computer and restore through iTunes.

The application ITunes presumes that the information, data, music, etc in its database is the correct master. In doing so, it will overwrite and replace any information previously on the phone. You probably will want to transfer the iTunes data directory from it's original location (presumably the system yoiu used to sync with your iPhone previously), the the new system.
If your iPhone has data from a different Apple ID, than the ID you will use on the new notebook, then be prepared to lose the data on the phone if you sync. It's meant to work that way.

  • Can we backup from iPhone and iPad into time capsule?

Can we backup from iPhone and iPad photos and data into time capsule?

iOS devices like the iPhone and iPad back up only to iTunes on your computer or to iCloud. More details on backups here:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1766
If you backup the iOS devices to iTunes, then iTunes in turn backs up to the Time Capsule using Time Machine.

  • Installed lion on iMac. Now our three iPhones and iPod can browse app store. But when we try to install we get an error that says cannot connect to iTunes. Same on wifi and AT

I updated my iMac to lion and set up iCloud and icloud email so I could use pages app on my 4s as well as my Mac to work on documents.I was only able to log into my new iCloud mail account once. And never again. Even with security questions.  Purchased pages for Mac and 4s. After I set  up I cloud/ work everything went crazy. My apple Id quit working. My security questions would not accept my answers. So I set up a new apple account. The system allowed me to set it up using the same i.d.since then I have updated everything. The systems on a 4s, two 3gs's and an iPod touch I can browse the app store and iTunes but when I try to download or update anything it accepts my password and then says " Cannot connect to store" this happens all the time on the 3gs's and iPod and about 90 percent of the time on the 4s. It happens using wifi and or 3G data network. Also my Mac and the 3gs's are now super sluggish.

    Simple...

  • Can i sync my iphone and ipod's to more than one computer?

Can i sync my iphone 4 and ipod's (we have #) to more than one compute? so we call all share the music.
Also can you inport music from an ipod to itunes? (music has already been deleted from the library)

Switching the computer will erase your device and replace the content of it with the content of the new iTunes library. But you can share your music by using Home Sharing. iTunes: Understanding Home Sharing
Purchased music can be copied back by using "transfer purchases" from the iTunes menu or, if not purchased from iTunes, by using 3rd party software http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2013615&tstart=0

  • I have moved from Aus to UK how do I change all my iTunes details WITHOUT losing everything I have purchased on my Aus account $4,000 worth....... and without losing iTunes match

    Hi,
I have moved from Australia to UK and I would like to swap my details to the UK, country of residence, billing address etc.  I have spent over $4,000 on iTunes including extra iCloud storage and iTunes match.  I want to be able to keep app's, music, movies and my Cloud/Match exactly the same.  How do I do this?
Everytime I go to do it a message says that all of my purchases will be lost?
I need help but in real somple step by step easy as I am not hugely PC literate and still working out the whole Apple iTunes product behind the scenes so please help me in the simplistic way possible.
    Thanks you in advance
    Jo

Because of different local copyright laws and licensing you cannot keep everything exactly the same except for iCloud, which is not affected. You will have to create a new Apple ID for use on the UK iTunes Store with a form of payment drawn on a local bank and an address in the UK. As long as you have downloaded all your purchases and the computer is still authorized to play all protected video content that won't change, however Apps may give you trouble when updating because once associated with an Apple ID you can only switch between stores every 90 days.
As for iTunes Match you must contact Australian iTunes Store support to cancel the subscription and you will have to resubscribe on the UK store.

  • Can I get empty iphone and ipod cases to practice replacing the screen?

I would like to replace a friend's iPhone screen for them instead of sending it to Apple where they might look at some private photos that are on the device. I have some technical ability, and are A+ certified, even if that won't help much with apple devices, and i am just looking for a method of practicing replacing screens without the posibility of damaging a $500+ phone. Latest Generiation or one previous is prefferd.

iPhones are not user serviceable so Apple certainly does not offer parts. And if you did that you would void his warranty. Apple will not look at any data; he can back it up and erase it if he is concerned.

  • I thought that I was updating my phone...but it went into Recovery mode with the USB cord pointing to itunes and music notes in a circle. How can I get my Iphone 4 back to working without losing my data? I tried turning the phone off and it is uplugged.

My iphone 4 is stuck on the lock screen with the USB cord pointing to itunes and music notes. I thought I was updating the phone for itunes but it is now teetering on the Recovery Mode. I do not want to lose my data, etc. Can someone explain how I can get my phone back? Apple support is not helpful.

Your phone is in recovery mode.  All data on it are already lost.  You must connect your phone to your computer and restore through iTunes.

  • HT1495 Can I add music from one iPod to another without losing music on the first ipod

Looking for a way to add music from one iPod to another iPod without losing music on the first iPod ... Please help

iPods are not backups or data transfer tools.
Move the music from the computer where it exists to the computer where you want it.
Then sync the music to the iPod.

  • HT4061 when I plug my iphone and ipad into my computer it no longer acknowledges either devises or charges them? A box comes up and says I do not have the Apple mobile devise on? What is that? and why is this no longer working? PLease help

When I now plug in my iPhone 4S and 3rd gen iPad into my laptop to update and charge neither devises recognise the other? A box comes up at the beginning saying the Apple mobile devise is not switched on! What is this and is this what is stopping my devises working?

The Apple Mobile Device Service is used by your computer to communicate between it and the device - there are instructions on this page on how to start it : http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1567

  • Can I upgrade from snow leopard to mountain lion without losing my data?

Have finished an upgrade to snow leopard without losing any data on each of 9 MacBook Pros so far.  (Have 9 more to go) Can I do the mountain lion upgrade on them without losing data or must I back up the detritus of 4 years use by teachers who despite all pleas have never backed up their documents?  Would appreciate a swift reply as everyone wants their mbp's back in their hands on Monday morning. My thanks in advance to any gurus who care to reply as my local gurus seem to have fled the ashram for the weekend.

Installing a new version of OS X should not lead to any data loss. Of course, it's best to have a backup if anything 'goes wrong' but simply isntalling the new OS shouldn't damage any data.

  • I recently had to redownload itunes onto my computer, how can I safely transfer everything on my ipods to itunes without losing it all?

I recently had to redownlaod Itunes onto my computer, how can I safely transfer everything on my iPods onto itunes without losing everything?

The ipod is not a backup device.  The music sync is one way - computer to ipod.  The only exception is itunes purchases:  File>Transfer Purchases
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer, particularly before any restore, update, etc.
Use your backup copy to put everything back.

  • HT1386 I have a brand new ipad with iOS 6.1.3 and an imac with OS 10.5.8. I cannot update my OS on this machine, but want to sync the new ipad. What can I do?

I have a brand new ipad with iOS 6.1.3 and an imac with OS 10.5.8. I cannot update my OS on this machine, but want to sync the new ipad. What can I do?

If it's an Intel Mac, you can upgrade it to Mac OS X 10.6.8.
If it's a PowerPC Mac, you need to use these instructions and/or iTunes Match to put content on the iPad.

That certainly looks like a low memory issue, 2 GB ram is barely enough to run Mac OS X versions from Lion through Yosemite.  The high number of Page Outs and killed processes show very high memory pressure.
Try adding memory, but be sure it is high quality, Mac certified memory such as that from OWC, http://www.macsales.com or Crucial, http://www.crucial.com
