I have changed my apple I'd and now existing games can't update

I had to change my apple Id as my previous provider deleted my e-mail.  My existing games on my iPad are all under the old apple id, and now they won't update. I have tried resetting with my new apple Id and nothing is working, please help

Ok, I think here's the solution:
1. Go here: https://supportprofile.apple.com (the site is off for a while but should be back soon)
2. Log in with your old Apple ID.
3. Click edit next to the info about you and your ID (somewhere on the left)
4. The info edition site will open. Here you can change your old Apple ID, what means you can just replace an old e-mail with a new one.

    The idea to jumpstart by change was not the smartest one, but gives you an opportunity to use that "temporary" account as permanent. You do not have a choice cause obviously despite you thinking that old account is no more -it does exist on Apple servers. And if you are unwilling to share your [email protected] with friend, just create one extra [email protected] for your friend. One suggestion - do not use gmail.

    Welcome to the Support Communities!
    If you change your Apple ID you will need to sign in with the new information or password the next time you use an Apple service or feature that uses Apple ID. If you have multiple devices that use features and services that require an Apple ID, you will need to sign in again on each device.

    If the Preference Pane hangs, hit comand-option-escape and force quit System Preferences to avoid having to reboot.
    In order to sign out you need the original password if you have set up 'Find My ....'. However you can't now change the password back to the original one (as you are not allowed to re-use a password).In this situation only Support can help you.
    To contact  iCloud Support: if you currently happen to have AppleCare, either because you recently bought Apple hardware or have paid to extend the inititial period, you can contact them here:

    You will need the serial number of the covered hardware.
    If you are not covered by AppleCare, then - in common with other free email services - there is no free support and you may be asked to pay a fee.

    Thank you soooo much!!  I have been trying to figure out how to fix this for ages.  This worked.
    I used to synch to my work computer and changed jobs and my home computer does not have a high enough version of Windows for iTunes to synch and I just haven't wanted to invest in that.  I am fine if I can just download directly onto my phone and now I can thanks to you!

    Apps are always tied to the ID that was used to purchase them originally. Did you try entering your old password and see if that works?
    If you need to sign out of your old account go to Settings>Store>Tap on your ID and sign out. Sign in with the new one.
    you can also access your ID in the featured tab of the App Store. Swipe to the bottom of the screen and you will find it there as well.

    It sounds like you are not able to log into FaceTime after changing your Apple ID password. I would use these troubleshooting steps from the following article to help you troubleshoot the issue:

    I have changed my apple id but when i try to log into icloud etc it lists my old id therefore my password is wrong as there is no such account now, how do i change this to show my new id and get into my account

    To change the iCloud ID you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iDevice, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use. 
    If you don't know the password for your old ID, or if it isn't accepted, and your old ID is an earlier version of your current ID, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll.  When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was.  Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

    Go to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID. Tap the new ID and sign out. Then sign in with the old ID. You can do the reverse to get back to your new ID.

    If you have changed your AppleID information or password, you will need to sign out of your existing iCloud or iTunes Store accounts and sign back in with the new information.
