If you have content on your iPhone that isn't on your computer, the best thing is to use the advice in this article to transfer it to your new computer before setting up sync:

Hello, I synchronized my iPhones with iTunes, having a new laptop, I had to do this step. But instead of helping it, I lost many applications. All my good applications disappeared. How do I get them back? What I have to do? I bought those app!!!
How is this possible? How can the iTunes eat what I bought and what for? To buy the applications again?! Geez!
Tell me the solution. It must exist one!You can redownload you previously purchased apps for free as long as they are still available in the app store. Be sure you are logged into the Apple ID in iTunes used to purchase them, then follow this guide: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519.

My old laptop died and now I cannot sync my iPAD on the iTunes on my new laptop.
My iPad was synced to iTunes on my Windows laptop. When it died I downloaded iTunes on my new replaement laptop. Now when I connect my iPad2 to my new laptop I get an error message that the iPad can only be connected to one (1) iTunes library.
How do I dissolve the first relationship an establish a new one on the new laptop?

Syncing with new computer
1) Without connecting your iPad to your laptop, start iTunes. Click on Edit. Click on Preferences. Click on Devices. Check the box next to "Prevent your iPod etc. from automatically syncing." Click OK.
2) Now connect your iPad to your laptop and start iTunes.
3) When iTunes starts, right click on your iPad under Devices in the left column. Select Transfer purchases etc.
4) After it finishes transferring all your apps to your new laptop, right click on your iPad and select Backup your iPad.
5) After it finishes backing up your iPad, right click on your iPad and select Restore etc.
6) After it finishes restoring, left click on your iPad , then click on the Apps tab on top, and check the box next to Sync Apps, then click on Apply below.
If everything on your iPad looks good after the sync, go back and click on Edit / Preferences / Devices and UN-check the box next to Prevent your iPod etc. The only other thing you may want to check is if your contacts, bookmarks, etc. are syncing correctly now. If not, go to the Info tab after connecting and make sure you indicate which features you want to sync with what sources. -

I have changed my apple id, and its ok when i sync my Iphone with Itunes, but ON my Iphone still my old apple-ID is there. I can NOT buy things from Itunes or Upgrade anything now, how to fix this?
I recently changed my email address and want to change my Apple ID account to match. I have created a new Apple ID to match the new account but now I can't sign into iCloud on our phones or computer with the old Apple ID. I can't make any changes on iCloud on our phones because it directs me to the old account, which I can't sign into. I also can't sign me in on my computer to make any changes. Help!!! I turned of iMessage and now I want it back on and it's not working, I have changed my password and now I don't know what to do. Is there something obvious I am doing wrong? I have done this on both of my iPads and it hasn't let me go back on to iMessage on either of them.

i have installed photoshop 13 version 32 bits. i have changed my computer and must reinstall version 64 bits. When i try to dawload i have an error message error 7 and 6. How can I succed reinstalling photoshop?
Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.

How do i restore my wifi setting back to the factory settings? I have changed it somehow :/ and now my wifi will not connect. My Airport is on and showing full strength but will not connect.
Ok, if other devices are connecting but just not your MacBook then let's start troubleshooting the MacBook to possibly find out why.
Please try each of the following, in order, until hopefully resolved:
Note the following are excerpts from an OS X Daily article.
* Turn Airport on & off – You can do this via the Airport menu bar or from the Network Preferences. This is the first thing you should try when troubleshooting Mac wireless problems.
* Make sure Wireless/Airport card software & firmware is up to date – This is usually done just by going to the Software Update menu, if there are any updates available for your Mac or Airport, install them.
* Delete and recreate connection – Try deleting and recreating/reestablishing the wireless connection, sometimes a setting can be corrupted and this may fix it.
* Create a new Network Location – Similar to the above suggestion, try creating a new and different wireless network location to see if it resolves the connection problems.
* Change DHCP auto settings to manual – sometimes there is a problem with the DHCP server, and if you manually set an IP address on the network you can be fine. Remember to set the IP to a high number so it wouldn’t interfere with other DHCP machines. As long as you have the subnet mask, router, and DNS settings configured manually as well, this shouldn’t be a problem.
* Flush the DNS cache – Launch the Terminal and enter the following command onto one full line within the Terminal: dscacheutil -flushcache
* Zap the PRAM – Reboot your Mac and hold Command+Option+P+R during restart until you hear another chime, let the Mac boot as usual.
* Delete Wireless Config files – Delete com.apple.internetconfigpriv.plist and com.apple.internetconfig.plist files from ~/Library/Preferences and reboot
* Trash your home directories SystemConfiguration – Remove all files within ~/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/ and then reboot your Mac.
* Reset your Mac’s System Management Controller (SMC) – For MacBook and MacBook Pro’s: Shutdown the MacBook/Pro, remove the battery, disconnect the power, hold the Power Key for 15 seconds. Replace the battery, reconnect power, and zap the PRAM and wait for 2 chimes before letting the keys go. Let boot as usual. -

There is no limit to the number of iPods you can sync with one computer, iTunes library, or account. See this article for different ways of managing multiple iPods.

i had nokia n8 and now i want to transfer my contacts from nokia to my new i phone 5, i set up i tune and i cloud account but i don't know how to use do it. i have windows 7 and no outlook
If I wiped my phone I wouldn't have the contacts on my phone to send to my self. I would need to take just the contacts from my back up. I would have to do this through iTunes and I don't see how I can just extract the contacts only from my back up. From what I can figure out it is all or nothing

I set a Special Ring Tone for One of my contacts and now I want to set the standard tone again. How can I adjust the iPhone to always use the standard tone?
Yeah, I did. But if I go to settings and change the standard ring tone again, the ring tone for that special contact is still the old standard tone. But I want to 'tell' my iPhone/iPad that this contact should always have the standard ringtone from settings.
