Did you refresh/reset Firefox?
When you reset Firefox then a new profile is created and some personal data (bookmarks, history, cookies, passwords, form data) is automatically imported and the current profile folder will be moved to the desktop to an "Old Firefox Data" folder.
Installed extensions and other customizations (toolbars, prefs) that you have made are lost and need to be redone.
It is possible to recover data from the old profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over problems.

i download the sofware update on to my pc and the next thing i know all my contacts are gone, the only things that have come up on the icloud CONTACTS app is the service call numbers thats it, i have no idea what to do.. i have itunes on my desktop and i looked for them there but i still cant find them, i dont have outlook i have VISTA so its hard for me to look for my contacts.
im worried that ive lost them. if anyone has some advice please let me know, im new to this and im having trouble understanding it. Thanks -

I use to have a iTunes account with my old computer, and I have lost all my iTunes music, some purchased, some downloaded from another source. Now I'm using a brand new computer (Windows) and I have opened a NEW iTunes account, but I now I need to figure out if it is possible to recoup my music content that I originally had. I had, I believe around close to 300 songs on my account ;(......Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Now remove all your info and update the old AppleiD/iTunes account and use only that account.
You cannot transfer items between iTunes accounts.
You can redownload all the content. -

For the charging via USB, a lot of computers don't provide enough power to their USB ports to charge an iPad at a sufficient rate (it may still be charging, especially if the iPad's is locked and the screen is off), the iPad's own wall charger is generally the best way to charge it. -

I don't want iCloud, never did. Yet it is aggressively asking for me to sign in. Sometimes I cannot cancel and held hostage. iTunes backs up your phone everytime you sync, if you have set it up to do so.

If that backup contains the contacts you lost, they will be restored. Otherwise they are gone. -

Re "numbers".. if you mean phone numbers (contacts) select the Info tab from the menu. Select Sync Address Book Contacts then click Tthe Sync button bottom right corner of the iTunes window.

It can't do that by itself. You had to click through several prompts telling it to restore it from a backup of an old phone for that to happen.
If the phone was not backed up to iCloud before this happened, or to another computer, then the data is gone. There is no way to recover it. -

I changed my iCloud password while working on my PC desktop and now I have lost all my calendar entries on my iPad and iPhone apart from repeat appointment entered prior to the change to iCloud.
How do I get entries back?If you backup your iPad, the entries may be in your backup but only the entries as of the date of the last backup will be in there. You can try restoring from a backup which will also restore everything in the backup onto the iPad. You can't just select the calandra entries to be restored.

Icloud provides for backups AND for contacts and calendars being stored. You are not forced to do a icloud restoration to recover calendar and contacts from icloud.
Please read this article about recovering contacts and calendars from icloud.
Please understand this only works with the idea that you have initially used icloud for your contacts and calendar entry storage.

Well there is a warning. However it is designed that your computer is the MAIN place for your contacts. The concept of syncing is that the phone gets "copies" of your real data (your phone is not the primary source, your computer is).
So if your computers address book you sync with has no contacts, then it will erase contacts on your phone because you have no contacts (dumb yes, but that is how it goes).
It warns when there will be major changes to your primary contacts (your address book on computer).
Now if you had at least 1 contact on your computer, it would of "merged" them (thus bringing over what is on the phone and bringing that one over to the phone).
The assumption is when you opt to sync contacts, that you have contacts on the computer you are syncing with and thus your primary place for contacts you maintain.
