I was charged twice for the same app how do I get a refund/credit?

You will need to contact iTunes Support. You can try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via the Store > View Account menu option and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find that app and use the 'Report a Problem' link and fill in details about the problem (iTunes support should reply within, I think, about 24 hours).
If the 'report a problem' link doesn't work (it's been taking some people to this site on a browser instead of showing a form in iTunes) then you can try contacting iTunes support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/- click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page.

  • Charged Twice For A Refund?

    Hi!
My buyer opened a returns case, for an item value of £44.99,  the funds where deuducted from my paypal account and put on hold. When the item was returned I had immidently refunded my buyer, another £44.99 was taken from my account & the prevoius £44.99 that was put on hold was still not released, I have waited over 48 hours.
Have I been charged twice for this return transaction?
This seems to be happening more and more with alot of my returned transactions. And yes the funds definatly have been deudcted twice from my account! I'm not sure whats going on and I'm getting really annoyed because it's not just this transaction that it has happened with. I am unable to call paypal up because I really struggle on the phone with people. I have emailed but still yet awaiting a reply.
Has this happened to anybody else or anybody know whats going on?
    Many thanks in return!

  • Do I have to pay from the same app ...

that I lost when I took my iPhone into the Genius bar and they re-installed the current 3.1 OS since the update that I downloaded caused my iPhone to lock up all the time. I backed up my phone but the tech told me to sync it "as new" instead of using the back up. Most of the apps that I paid for are there and were synced successfully but I'm missing a few paid apps (which I use more) but I don't want to pay from them again since Ive already paid for them ... any suggestions? Thanks

You can download them again for free provided you are using the same iTunes Store account you used to buy them initially. You do have to click the "Buy" button and you will get a warning about your credit card being charged, but when you continue you will be offered the opportunity to download for free.

  • I installed itunes on my hp netbook.  Opening items for the first time, the user agreement does not show an "accept" button to accept the agreement and use itunes.  Have reinstalled twice with the same result.

Is itunes compatable with HP netbook?

If the netbook has less than 768 dpi vertical resolution, the "Accept" button will be displaying off the bottom of the screen. (I'm afraid, if so, you'll run into similar trouble when trying to make preferences changes.)
With any luck, the "accept" button although not visible on your system might be the active one. If you hit your enter key does the setup proceed beyond the liscensing agreement?

  • Can iTunes handle multiple versions of the same app?

Now that iTunes, iOS, and iDevices have been around long enough for users to have multiple devices on multiple iOS versions, is Apple doing anything to allow users to run multiple versions of the same app through iTunes?
Case in point I have an older iPhone running iOS-5 with a few apps that are now running exclusively on iOS-7, my new iPhone is on iOS-7. Once I sync my new phone with the updated versions of the app, iTunes usually dumps the old version into the trash bin. But what if I need that older version to continue running it on my iOS-5 iPhone?
Is there a workaround for this? I've considered using an old PC as my base computer for sycning the new iPhone, but I still fear that the new app updates will go to all devices running on my iTunes account through iCloud.
If Apple doesn't address this problem at some point then as the years go by certain iDevices will eventually become completely useless even if they are a fully functional piece of electronics.
(spare me the "that's their plan, corporate greed" replies).
    Thanks in advance!

Yes, the apps SHOULD be developed to work with the new stuff, No, not all apps keep their old versions in the App Store, BUT, finally Apple has ALLOWED developers to have multiple versions of an App in the store.
The problem isn't about retarding development, it's about Apple trying to force users to buy new things that they don't need because the old thing, though it works just fine & has the apps that you need, is unable to be used because the apps have been updated in iTunes. Why can't you allow me to keep Facebook 5.0.1 for my old iPhone 3G that is used as an iPod, Facebook 6.7.2 for my iPod Touch & Facebook 19.6.4 for my new iPhone 8? As of now I can download the old version on the old device, but when I sync it it always tries to 'Update' it & then says 'Can't be updated because this version is incompatible with this device' making the sync take 3x as long & meaning that if my device crashes for some reason or I choose to restore it becasue of problems I have to go find the old version, hoping that I saved it, delete the new version, drag in the old version, THEN sync & then move the old version back before updating from my other device (Having done this with the 3G & iTouch 4 for years I learned that when the sync transfers purchases from the phone it 'replaces' the file instead of moving the old 1 to the trash).
Some of these apps I have purchased, & by forcing the update to remove the old version Apple is essentially taking something I have purchased & saying I am no longer allowed to use it.
Just in the what 3 months since the new iOS came out I have noticed that now over half of the apps can't be run on my iPod Touch 4G.
    It's simple, iTunes should either:
Keep a record of the devices that have synced (I know, it already does) & keep the newest version for the lated iOS in iTunes
Let users have multiple versions of the same app in iTunes & allow us to disable update checks for certain apps
Allow users to choose to download from iTunes the different versions of the apps available from the developer
    OR
Allow users to edit the info on Apps, unlinking them from their original & updates & allowing users to keep an old version & still download a new 1

  • Can someone please tell me why when I order an Itunes app. , do I always get charged twice for the same thing.  It has happened on two different occasions.  Does it have anything to do with having 2 different ipods linked to the same account?

Can someone please tell me why when  i order an app on my sons ipod, do I get charged twice for it?   When I tried do report a problem with the charge, it said that I can not get a refund on that item.   This is the second time this has happened to me.   Does it have anything to do with having more then one ipod linked to the same account?   Thanks for any help you can give me!!!

It has nothing to do with have more than one device using that account.
After you purchase it once, you redownload it on other devices by the following, not like purchasing a new app.
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
If you really got charged twice for purchases the same app twice with the same account contact iTunes again by:
Apple - Support - iTunes - Contact Us
Make sure that they are really the same app first.

  • HT201359 Why have I been extra charged for an app and have been billed twice for the same app?

Why have I been extra charged for an app and have been billed twice for the same app?

We are are fellow users here on these forums, you're not talking to iTunes Support here, we won't know why.
I don't know what you mean by 'extra charged' (have you made in-app purchases within the app, or are you in the US and need to add on your state's sales tax to the listed price ?), or have you added or changed your credit card details on your iTunes account ? If you have then each time that you do so a small temporary store holding charge may be applied to check that the card details are correct and valid and that it's registered to exactly the same name and address as on your iTunes account - it should disappear off your account within a few days or so.

  • Been charged twice for the same app

    Hi all..
I know your all gonna say that it is not possible to be charged for the same app twice but I think I have been charged.
    Let me explain.
I own an iPhone 4 and purchased Airport Mania @ 59p (uk price) and did this 17/07/2010 and I can see this in my purchase history.
I then bought an iPad over the weekend and I wanted to install the same game.
So searched for airport mania (didn't press the HD versions or made for iPad) and it showed the price of 59p nothing popped up saying I had bought this before..
    But.....
This morningI log into my acc and I have an email saying I have been charged for the app and it is showing as 59p.
So I then installed another app I had bought sometime ago "RoadTrip" which calculates your fuel usage (I recommend this app) and it shows up as listed free in my purchase history, but when I originally purchased this back last year it clearly shows I was charged £2.99.
So can anyone shed any light as to what is going on?
    Thanks
    Ric

    Thanks for all your help
I only have 1 account using my MobileMe account.
I have checked the games both show the same title - Airport Mania: First Flight.
Looking through my history when I purchased it in July 2010 the company was called Reflexive Entertainment. When I downloaded the game on the 21/03/2011 the compnay name has changed to Lemon Games SL.
Reflexive Entertainment sold the game to Lemon Games SL and the app store are treating this a new app. Which is wrong How many other people have been caught out with this?
Also I have noticed I have been charged for downloading Rockband content again, and some songs that I purchased for Rockband are no longer listed!
