I have completed th upgrad to iOS 7 and the only icon that shows is iTunes.
My father upgraded his iPhone 3 to iOS 7 last night, and the iTunes icon is the only thing appearing on his phone. Help!
iPhone 3 can't be upgraded to iOS7. Try downloading iOS4 from Apple servers and do an update from iTunes.

Hiya Katrina! I might have accidentally made some progress on this one yesterday.
Every time I've seen it reported and I've tried to do some work on it, it has only affected one user account on the PC.
So ... it might be related to a damaged icon cache for the affected user account. (There's one of those for each different user account on the PC. This is what I accidentally learned yesterday while trying to research a fix for a slightly different problem.)
If that's what is going on, rebuilding the icon cache might get folks past it:

... Trouble is that that's all educated(?) guesswork/speculation, and the procedure looks a bit hairy. It's the sort of thing where I'd definitely be setting a System Restore Point for the system prior to giving it a go. -
How in the world do i get my lost Album back?
I purchased a Album from Itunes on my iphone, Played it for several days. Then when I synced my phone to my laptop, the album is no longer there. It shows up in the Itunes on my computer but only as the digital booklet, which you are supposed to get after a purchase.
I tried downloading all songs into itunes, that didnt work. I tried logging out of my account with no avail. I tried seeing if i could go into iTunes again and buy redownload it. But it showes that I have to purchase it again...
Any help would be appreciated.

No, that's not it. I tried both ways: 64-bit flash plugin, with Firefox in 64-bit mode. Latest 32-bit flash plugin with flash in 32-bit mode. No go.
I see the first frame of the video. Video does not update except in chunks, portions of the screen, every few seconds. Sometimes there is no audio.
Curiously, other video sites, such as vimeo, are fine. Also, some embedded youtube videos on other sites are also fine. But the problem is consistently there on youtube.com. -
Ok I have an fully upgraded iPad 2 and the volume button don't work but it do with headphones can someone help. I try to go to settings and the volume won't go up there either I have the home button gesture and still the same. I try resting my iPad and nothing no sound work unless I have my headphones in. Do anybody know how to fix this
Did you try rebooting the iPad? You will need to have some battery power for this.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

I tried to update my husbands iphone 4 to ios 6 from ios 4.3.3 That is the only update that showed up on itunes as an availiable update. The download took 3 hrs and after all of that the phone is the same showing no sign of being updated. We did turn it off and back on and still nothing. Can anyone please help and tell me what I need to do to update his phone. He is unable to update or downloaded apps or anything off of itunes at this point.

TammySo what happened to the phone during the process? It should have gone black and restarted a couple of times and there would have been a white progress bar as the update installed. Sounds to me like you've downloaded the update file but not actually installed it. The quickest way to see version of the software is installed is to go to Settings-General-About and check Version.

I have a 10.6.8 mac and the icloud icon does not appear on the system preference, even if I'ved upgraded the software.
ReneeThe minimum requirement for iCloud is Lion 10.7.5 (Mavericks preferred): the iCloud Preference Pane does not appear on earlier systems - the MobileMe pane appears on Lion and earlier but is now non-functional - you cannot now open or access a MobileMe account.
To make use of iCloud you will have to upgrade your Mac to Lion or Mavericks, provided it meets the requirements.
The requirements for Lion are:
Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, or Xeon processor

Lion is available in the Online Apple Store ($19.99). I went to my system preferences today and they are all gone except for my language and text icon! I have the language and text icon but that is the only icon that is displayed! where have my system preferences gone and how do i get them back??
Double click on the picture of the HD on your desktop, then look at the bottom of the window that opens.
First check the S.M.A.R.T. status on your HD: Applications > Utilities > Disk Utility > in the panel at left, select the first item in the list/your HD mechanism > look atthe bottom of the main window next to S.M.A.R.T. status and see if it says “Verified” or something more ominous like “Failing.”
If S.M.A.R.T.status is "Verified," run Repair Disk: Boot from install disc (insert disc > restart > immediately hold down c key and keep holding it until you see “Preparing Installation”) > at first screen select the language and click Continue > click on the Utilities Menu in the menu bar > open Disk Utility > select your HD in the panel on the left side > click Repair Disk at bottom of main window. Run this at least twice, and keep running it until it says “appears ok” twice in a row. If that doesn’t happen, you may need a stronger utility such as DiskWarrior or if the directory is damaged beyond repair, you may need to reinstall the OS, or you may have a damaged HD (repair utilities can only repair the directory structure, not the HD itself). When this is finished, quit Disk Utility, quit the installer, and restart. Once booted normally, go to Applications > Utilities > Disk Utility and run Repair Permissions. -
I have the same photo in an album and in camera roll. I am trying to delete the photo from the camera rol and the only option that i get is : delete everywhere? Noooooo i just want to delete it from camera roll!!!!!
The way that I understand that it works, is that the photos are not copied into the new albums, instead it just points to the photos - the number of photos on the iPad in Settings > General > About doesn't increase when you create new album so I assume from that that it isn't copying the photo, just pointing to it. So if you delete the photo from the camera roll you will therefore also be deleting all the pointers to it

I just verified that i have an early 2011 Macbook Pro and the airplay icon does not appear. i also have a 2013 Macbook Pro which shows the airplay icon. do i need to enable airplay on my early 2011 or is there an update that is needed? Confused.
To check your model go to About This Mac (by clicking on the Apple icon, top left) and then select more info. If you wish to use mirroring you will need one from 2011 or later running OSX 10.8 or later. The alternative would be to use 3rd party software like Airparrot.

While attempting to set up my new iPhone for iTunes the first time, an error message displayed on my computer saying that I needed to restore it to my factory settings and the only function that the iPhone displays is the message listed above.
that's the exact same thing that happened to my iPhone 5. (see my thread) Well that occured after I downloaded the iOS 6.2. The very same image appeared to my phone. What I did was (well the situation left me no option) restored it to factory settings. However, your iTunes must dowload (i think) new version of software for your phone. It took me 3 hrs!. But I also have to warn you. It may still ask you to restore again, and again, and again, after each restoration.
What I did was, disconnect the cable from your phone and computer, then press the power and home button together, hold it down lke that till the apple logo appears. The phone successfully worked but Siri & the voice command keep messing with my calls, playing music by itself, returning to home by itself. -

The Settings > General > Software Update option only appears when you have iOS 5+ installed, as your tagline says that you have iOS 4 then you will need to do the update via your computer's iTunes.
Connect the iPad to your computer's iTunes and copy any purchases off the iPad to your computer via File > Transfer Purchases (File > Devices > Transfer Purchases on iTunes 11). You may also want to copy photos and any important documents off the iPad as well e.g. via the file sharing section at the bottom of the device's apps tab when connected to iTunes, via wifi, email, dropbox etc - they should be included in the backup, but it's best to have a copy of them outside of the backup just in case. You can then force a backup of the iPad by right-clicking the iPad 'Device' on the left-hand side of iTunes and selecting 'Backup'.
Then start the update by selecting the iPad on the left-hand side of iTunes (on iTunes 11 you can enable the left-hand sidebar via option-command-S on a Mac, control-S on a PC), and on the Summary tab on the right-hand side clicking the Check For Updates button

i got this emac from my uncles friend, and they said it's still working so i was likeok lemme see. and when i turned it on i was like "nice it really is working" but right after it went to the loading screen (Gray apple logo with a whiteBG and the loading icon that keeps circling) it wont go any further.. it just stays like that forever.. 2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu at top of the screen. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
*Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.*
3. Click the First Aid tab.
4. Select your Mac OS X volume.
5. Click Repair Disk, (not Repair Permissions). Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."

Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)
If perchance you can't find your install Disc, at least try it from the Safe Boot part onward. -
Hello. I'm having a problem signing onto my iPad mini. When I went to sign on yesterday the number pad to sign on moved upward and now it is out of site. Now I can't sign on the only thing that shows is the Apple logo.
Have you tried to give your iPad a reset? Hold down the sleep and home keys until you see the silver apple. Let it reboot and see if it helps.
