Do you still have AppleCare? But even if you do I don't think it covers Accidental damage, so it won't be free. I know with the iPhone 4S they offered AppleCare + which covered 2 accidental damages but I don't think they had that for the iPhone 4. Hope this helps.

Dirt Under 3GS Screen, Will Apple replace?

Hey all,
I got my 3GS at launch and there is now alot of dirt under the screen, makes it a bit hard to see in daylight and gets really annoying. The rest of the iPhone is in PERFECT condition. Will Apple replace it? I live far from an Apple store so it is a pain to go and I don't want to waste my time. I had a 3G that I used for a year before the 3GS and never had a dust problem.

So, for example, environmental things like being a construction worker and getting that road dust in the phone, yes technically it's not you putting the dust in but you have placed the phone in conditions that most likely will result in dust under the screen...
That or if you always put it in your pocket that is dirty or dusty or has lots of lint... if you end up getting lint under the screen that would still be considered user created.
Clearly not all blemishes can be avoided but the ones that are certainly due to the conditions you place the phone in are not typically covered.
Of course you could get a really nice Genius Bar tech

I know warranties dont cover those kind of damages and neither does apple care which I have. I have heard I can get a new or refubished one for 200 dollars if I take it to an apple store. This blows but I will pay the 200 if this is true.

Are you still under warranty? You're going to have a tough time convincing them it wasn't your fault they broke, I predict. In any case, someone else had a good idea on one of these types of threads: take it to an electronics shop as they probably deal with this situation quite frequently.

I have apple care and was wondering if if would cover a new battery as it is under performing and its been properly maintained. the stats are below:
MacBook pro, 13". Late 2009 model. (integrated battery)
Age: 13 Months
Cycles: 252
Capacity: 80%.
I have read that apple have said that at 80% this macbook should have 1000 cycles!

at 80% capacity, you might struggle. When mine was a just over a year old, I took it in to get it looked at. Had 112 cycles and was at 75% capacity or there abouts. He said they dont normally replace batteries, but since mine was so bad after such a short period, he would do it.
I reckon you could get it get it replace, but you would have to talk the guy round to it. And if at first you dont succeed, come back and try with another guy
Nowadays (I'm out of warranty by a few years) I just dont bother with my battery. Its shot, but I can live without it. Its capacity now is 12% and it last 4 minuets off power before the laptop just shuts down without warning. But I hear there's some cheap alternatives on ebay.

Apple EarPods not working ("Gummy" holding wire to jack gone), Will Apple Replace Them?

I bought the EarPods separately from my iPhone on August 19, as the ones that came with it also broke the same way, at an apple store in Denver (where I live). They have warranty and everything, but will apple replace them under the warranty? If need more details on how they broke: the white, thick strip around the meeting point of the wire and headphone jack input came off, and first the left side stopped working then the right side.

If you have ruined two sets, I suspect it is the way you are treating them. From what you describe it sounds like undue strain is being put on the jack, like maybe you are unplugging them by pulling the wire instead of grasping the jack. Or maybe the phone is allowed to dangle from the cord.
At any rate, if they replace them, and only Apple will be the judge on this, you should pay attention to any possible undue strain you are putting one the cord.
