I have Creative cloud. I have indesign cs6. I need InDesign cc. I can't get it

When I go to my dounload center app on my desktop, All the CC apps do not seem to be available. I click Install, nothing happens

You know, when I got back to my computer later that evening, I was given the opportunity to download all the programs, before I even had a chance to try your solution... what's up with that.
Next question - should I go with the CC programs and delete the CS6 ones from my computer? I am currently a student, and am not sure I will be able to afford the increased monthly fee when I graduate.... Do I get to keep the CS6, could I redownload if I get short of cash?

Check to see if your system meets the minimum requirements. Other have reported that if it doesn't, then PPRO will not show in the list.

I have tried logging on with my adobe id connected to the account i bought creative cloud and it still asks me for lience number which i dont have since i bought creative cloud.

Welcome to Adobe Forum,
1.If you have Creative Cloud for Team, then you you need to accept the invite.
2. In case it is Individual CC, please check if there are any Adobe entries in host file
windows: C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc (open host with note pad)
Mac:go\goto\etc\host
In case you find any Adobe entries, delete all the Adobe entries & save the new Host file in etc folder.
Next relaunch CC.

The version error messages are really screwed up and out of sync with the new naming (CC) system. CS8.1 would be CC2014 version 10.1

The problem with text books is that they were not updated to reflect changes/improvements Adobe made to the software. It's worth noting that DW CS6 has 6 versions -- all a little different depending on how you obtained it.

If there are problems with updating or with the permissions then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.

Your hardware and operating system must meet the minimum tech specs for the various apps.

In your case, it seems like you're running Windows XP 32 bit which means you won't see the following apps since they will not run on your computer:
Premiere Pro, After Effects, Encore, SpeedGrade - all 64 bit only
Lightroom 4 - won't run on Windows XP. Only runs on Vista, Win 7 and Win 8
Creative Cloud Connection - only runs on Win 7 and Win 8
In addition, you won't have access to any 3D tools in Photoshop CS6 Extended since they're not available in XP.
Plus Adobe have announced that Photoshop CS6 is the last version which will run on Win XP

We have Creative Cloud, and a client of ours wants to create a free magazine (multiple issues a year) for iPad and iPhone, distributed in Newsstand.
We know tons about InDesign, but nothing about Digital Publishing Suite.
How much is this going to cost to create and put up in the Apple Newsstand?

If they got the funds buy the pro account. Put it on the bill. And you run it. All depends on how deep the clients pockets are.
Single editon would be good for a yearly catalog IMHO. Or something with a shelf life of a year. If its a one time cost with no DL's to buy. Save Enterprise for the Fortune 500 clients.
A magazine is going to be a multi-issue situation with subs. They might also want to charge if it works. You get a certain amount of DL's to star with with the cost of PRO and if you burn through them (which is a good thing) you need to buy more.
I don't think you get any anyaltics with single edition either but I could be wrong.

Have Creative Cloud but Photoshop Keeps Telling Me It's a Trial

I've had Creative Cloud for about 6 months with no problems, then yesterday when I opened Photoshop, a window appeared telling me that it was a trial version. Anyone else have the same problem? If so, how do I fix? Do I have to reinstall Photoshop? (This isn't happening with any of the other apps.)

In my case, owned Photoshop CS6 for months, got Creative Cloud which somehow snuck CS6 extended in on me (never wanted). I'm considering moving to the Creative Cloud but have some concerns. if, for example, after spending 1500+ over the next three years on the Creative Cloud and by then, presumably at version CS9 or CS10, will I be able to continue using the CS9 or CS10 products as I would have, had I bought the retail software?
I know if I continue to simply buy upgrades to retail items and stop at CS9 I will be able to use those products forever so I am not seeing the incentive here if that is the case.
Your confirmation is much appreciated so that I can move on to decide on my next steps.

No. It's an all-or-nothing exit policy at the moment.
When you stop paying your monthly fee, you lose all access to Adobe software (unless you already own a pre-Cloud version which you can fall back on).
Many requests have been made to relax the exit policy and permit users to perhaps pay a residual fee to keep using whichever version is current when they leave the Cloud. But that hasn't yet been offered by Adobe. Personally I don't expect it to ever be offered.
PS how much will you spend on the retail versions over the next three years given that you must upgrade with every new version under Adobe's new upgrade policy introduced with the CS6 cycle? i.e you can no longer skip a version and still qualify for upgrade pricing next version.
Licensing issues aside, in effect, you never really "own" the software if you want to stay current. Both Cloud and retail are now effectively subscription models.
The choice really boils down to upfront $$ vs monthly $$.

The primary incentive is full access to the entire Master Collection for a low monthly fee. Don't have to outlay thousands of dollars upfront.
You also get:
additional Cloud services (host up to 5 websites etc)
multi-platform licenses (activate on Win/Win, Mac/Mac or Win/Mac for the same monthly fee. Retail items are single platform only)
early access to new software features for Cloud members only. As soon as Adobe finishes writing and testing the code, Cloud members get it. Retail users must wait for CS6.5 or CS7. Depends if living on the bleeding edge of Adobe software interests you. As we all know, change is the only constant these days.

Nothing personal to you or Rajshee, but this is exactly why I absolutely despise these "community forums" (not just Adobe but any company). I called the Tech Support phone line today after digging and digging for a phone number, and they told me the exact opposite, and they did it a lot faster than it was possible to get a forum response. (That's really not personal, because you can't control that, but it's a fact.)
Their answer: As long as I'm signed in with the same ID, I can try, say, Photoshop CC on my iMac at home and also try Acrobat Pro CC on my Windows 7 machine at work. Same account, same login, one trial.
This makes complete sense to me as I'm financially on the hook (potentially) for the same package. If I give away my login to someone else, which I wouldn't do, I'm still on the hook. This is why the cloud approach to software is such genius and I applaud it.
BTW, 99% of the "community forum" wrong answers come on Microsoft sites, so don't feel bad.
