I have deleted a number of songs on my Mac and do not want them reinstated from my iPod when I hard synch - in other words I want the music that is currently on my Mac not all the music that is on my iPod.  thanks

I have deleted music from from Mac and do not want them added back from my Ipod when I synch - how do I do it?

If you remove tracks from iTunes (and your mac), they will be removed from your iPod the next time you sync it with your iTunes library.  That is unless you manually manage your iPod's contents, in which you'll need to manually remove the desired tracks from your iPod Classic via the iTunes interface.
