I have difficulty authorizing my new computer.

The instructions in the Apple support site suggests I only need to go into iTunes, go to the Store menu and then choose Authorize this Computer. The trouble is, when I look in iTunes, I don't find a "Store" menu anywhere. I've checked every available menu, and have accessed my Account directly, and nowhere have I found a spot where I can authorize the new computer. Could I possibly be that blind? I have the latest version of iTunes, just loaded today onto a Windows-based machine.

Press the Alt and S keys and choose Authorize this Computer, or click here, follow the instructions, click on Store in the menu bar, and choose Authorize this Computer.

It sounds as though you are experiencing an issue with an Apple ID and authorizations. Based on your post, it sounds like you are familiar with the authorizing and deauthorizing process. The Apple ID in question (your wife's email) may be originating from the iPhone you are attempting to update. Is it possible that your wife created an Apple ID or iCloud account which is signed in on that iPhone? If you did tranfer everything over, you probably have to set up WiFi syncing again in iTunes in order for the iPad WiFi settings to see your new computer.

Installing iTunes does not cause content to magically appear on the computer.
Your media is only where you put it.
iOS devices are not backup devices.
Copy the media from the old computer to the new computer.

You need to download and install Adobe Acrobat on the new machine to use it.
You can use the same subscription or the serial number to activate the product.
