I have downloaded Elements 12. Now it works out that my computer is getting too slow. I need to buy a new computer (no problem). When I try to uninstall my Photoshop Elements 12 I see that I may not be able to reinstall the program, once I have uninstalled it.
is that correct. Can anyone pls explain how I can uninstall and then later, on my new computer, reinstall my Elements 12????

If the computer slowing down is occurring since you installed PSE it may be that the auto analysis features are consuming too much of your computer resources. Try turning them off in Edit> Preferences> Media-Analysis and see if that restores performance. May save you the cost of a new PC !!!

sounds like your phone was hacked to work with your carrier. Now it is relocked to the rightful carrier. It cannot be reactivated without a SIM from that carrier.

Thank you for your prompt reply. Unfortunately I am not that tech oriented and
cannot easily find that folder. I did notice when I was booting up the LR software
that I could accept the site where LR usually is set up or choose a place. I am
thinking that the standard location for LR software is corrupted and that if I
chose a different place it would work. I say this because whether I use my
original disc or download from adobe I get the same warning. I have 100GB of
memory on the hard drive and I have cleaned the computer with Mcaffee and free
software. What should I do next? I can't use this software and I doubt LR 5
would open up with my current problem.

1. It is never a good idea to include personal info like your email address or Apple ID in a post on an open forum.
2. The email you received DOES NOT say your Apple ID cannot be used to unlock this iPad. The email informs you that your Apple ID was used to unlock an iPad. Fortunately the iPad is yours. The message confirms that. If your Apple ID was used to unlock an iPad that was not yours your would then know to change your password. Since the iPad is yours you do not need to change your password.

I would think the migration assistant transfers 100% of all contents...
When you are setting up a new Mac you can use Setup assistant the moment you boot the mac the first time. Setup Assistant will usually transfer everything. If you miss tha t moment and later launch Migration Assistant some library files will not be transferred. Migration assistant will not transfer system files, only User Files and Application files. I think, that is why your files are missing.

Best take an external drive with plenty of free disk space and plug it into your MacBook Pro.
Open the System drive, your Macintosh HD in the Finder and open the folder "Library", then "Application Support", then "GarageBand". Copy the folder
/Library/Application Support/GarageBand/Instrument Library/ to your external drive by dragging it there.
Then open again the folder "Library" on your Macintosh HD, and this time open the folder "Audio" inside. Copy the folder
/Library/Audio/Apple Loops/
to your externall drive. Eject the drive and plug it into your iMac.
Now compare the AppleLoops folders and instrument library folders and copy all missing items over to the corresponding folders in the iMac's Library.
Afterwards you need to reindex the loops, by dragging any loop you newly installed onto the Loop Browser in garageband, see: Rebuilding the Loop Index in GarageBand

I have installed Elements 12 on my laptop, (upgrading from Elements4) but now Lightroom wont run at all. my question is, do I need to upgrade Lightroom as well, I am running Version 3.2?

Considering upgrading to Mavericks (from OS 10.8); have most of the bugs been worked out?

I'm considering upgrading to Mavericks soon (like, maybe today). The reason I haven't done it before now is because I wanted to wait for most (if not all) of the bugs to be worked out of it. For those who have Mavericks or have just recently upgraded, how is it working out?
Also…this might be a stupid question.. but will I need to backup all my stuff before I upgrade (like…will upgrading cause me to lose anything)? Or will it all be fine?

If you don't have a backup of your hard drive you will lose your data at some time. There are only two types of hard drives: those that have crashed and those that will. All it takes is a power surge or other type of interruption to damage the drive or corrupt the data.
I would not even do a minor update of the system without assuring my backup is current.
The easiest backup strategy to implement is an external HD and Time Machine.

Make sure your headphones are plugged all the way in. The white plastic on the headset jack should be flush with the body of the nano.

Card working out of the computer enverioume

Has anyone got a SB card to work with just power applied? OK, here's what I want to do.... The bast way to explaine is to start this way..... Lets remove a PCI slot from the motherboard..... Lets remove the ATX power supply from the computer.... Now, let's connect the power supply to the proper pins of the PCI slot,... follow so far? Put the SB card in that slot....
Now, without software, or anything except the power to power the chips and electronics of the card, what has to be done to have the card work from either the line in, Microphone jack, or both from the speaker output jack?
So, now, let's take this experiment a little further..... Let's say we got the card to work..... (remember out of the computer on a power supply)..... What would the modifications to the electronics be to "find" a "pre-amplified" output.... That would most likey be a 600 ohm audio out, line level? Probally a balanced 600 Ohm output..... Anyone know? Has anyone tryed?....
I have searched high and low looking for engineering docs on the SB 6, and 6 series, and the other cards. Can not find anything on the PCI pin configurations.. Not the "jumpers" but the actual PCI slot pin configurations of the cards....
The idea is to use the SB cards in a vintage Broadcast Sound Console as pre-amplification, amplifiers for the various sound mixing signals . This equipment is a beautiful piece of history, and everything is still in tact except the amplification electronics.... because it's not available anymore and the electronics went in another board before my time.... The idea is to give this equipment a modern "breath" but keep the vintage look..... What a project huh?

I'm not sure what you mean. Did you redeem the gift card to your iTunes Store account? If not, just give your brother the gift card and he can redeem it in his own iTunes Store account. If you did redeem the card, then there's no way to transfer the balance from your iTunes Store account to his. He'd have to use your iTunes Store account to make the purchases and sync to his devices.

I paid $20 to upgrade my iPod touch and it didn't go through for me. The person who assisted me said that if it didn't work out that I would get my $20 posted back into my credit card. Prior to this service I made a purchase from the iTunes Store.

I paid $20 to a person from the apple customer support line to have my iPod touch upgraded but it never went down. The representative who assisted me said that I would have those $20 posted back into my Visa card if it didn't go through. The service never got to happen and failed. Prior to this I made a purchase from the iTunes Store for $7.00, which they never billed me. So until I pay for the previous iTunes purchase, I am not allowed to download any applications. This is the reason why I need the $20 back from the separate request I made with apple which never worked out. Cause as soon as I pay for the previous iTunes purchase that I made apart from apple, then I could once again start to download and install applications. I have a week already without downloading apps. Please refund my money back a.s.a.p.

well I copied to my hard drive on my work computer BUT if I want to pick and chose what I want, it is easier when seen in PSE 7, i also have PSE 12. Launched Premiere Elements 11 & now neither work

I just downloaded my new Photoshop elements 11/Premiere 11...after using it one time...I started the other program ...premiere 11 and now none of the programs work. It just says that windows stopped the PSelements... What did I do wrong?
