I had recently updated from Windows 7 to Windows 8.1 and thus had to re download Adobe Digital Editions. I downloaded Version 4.0 but the problem seemed to be with the authorization between the e-reader and the computer. While in ADE click the help button and click erase authorization then re do your user id and password. It worked for me.

My 'old' files have been backed up onto time capsule (Leopard), I have upgraded to Lion (thro snow leopard) and now checking back to retosre some old files i can't see or access beyond the date I upgraded to Lion? Help please?
Use the manual methods.. but it is possible for TM to wipe the old files in trying to fit into the space.

Before you sync your iPhone make sure that all the music that was synced to your phonereviously has been copied to your iTunes on the new MacBook Pro. Then when you connect your phone you will be able to either sync all music or select only those playlists that you want on the phone.

I have the same iTunes on my PC and it and my iPad mini are synced. I haven't been able to install Quicktime on my Windows 7 PC because it says it is not a Win32 application???
That message suggests the installer is getting damaged during the download to your PC.
Try downloading an installer from the Apple website using a different web browser. If you use Firefox instead of IE for the download (or vice versa), do you get a working installer? -
My iMac computer won't load my email from the local carrier until I have been on the computer at least 10 minutes. They say it is not them. It is Apple. Any suggestions? Thanks!
First of all, rule out a network problem:
Run a speed test via Safari. You can use http://www.speedtest.net
In order for your emails to load within a few seconds, you'll need an internet connection of 1MB p/s or faster. Anything slower than that may cause the connection to the email server to time out.
If your connection checks out, try setting up your email address in a new user account. Sign out, and then sign into Guest. Set up your email there. If it's still slow, then you'll need to test on another computer.
Testing on a Phone or Tablet won't give accurate results, as they use different methods of accessing your email server.
If after tesitng on another computer, the connection is slow, make a back up of your emails and as your provider to clear your inbox on the server end. This will remove emails from your inbox if it's an IMAP account, or they won't be downloadable if it's a POP account.
After they've confirmed that's been done, try sending yourself a test email. Monitor the reaction time.
If all else fails, yell at your ISP -

Java has updated again today,
i use a java plug in to run my virtual software to access my work from home,
today i have an error message saying that security will not allow access to my website
i use to log in to work from, this is a JREdetection error,
my system runs off java and citrix, i tried chrome,firefox and safari - same issue, if my system cannot detect java it wont run, it runs on plug ins.

Trying to load a Dreamweaver CS5 extension called Image Show Pro to mac operating system 10.9.2. Trial version worked fine, but when I try to load full version, Adobe Extension Manager crashes. Check the apple, left side of the menu bar, About This Mac, More Info, System Report, Hardware and then the Model Identifier...has to be at least MacBook Pro3,1 to install Mavericks.

I recently purchased songs from my iphone. All good... But I then went to put them on my ipod touch. They seemed to have downloaded but the songs wont play and the song title/the text, appears in a grey colour and there is a downlaod symbol in front of the song title. what do i do next?? They play on my iphone and from the itunes library but not from my ipod touch.
If the songs are still on your ipod, make sure autosync is disabled in iTunes on your computer, connect and right click on it in the device list, then choose "transfer purchases" to copy all bought media and apps from your ipod to your computer.
If the songs are not on your computer and got deleted from your ipod as well, you can't get them back, unless you have a backup of your iTunes library as part of your computer backup. -
