I have downloaded a music file through a downloader . But the file is not found in the captured in music player . How can I locate the physical location and move the file . I cannot do via itunes also .

Tell Apple. We're just fellow users here and can't control a thing. The sandboxed nature of the iPad, which also means a lack of an overall file manager is what keeps viruses from spreading and improves the stability of the system as a whole. And it's that lack of a file manager system that means you can't just attach something to an e-mail.
What I'd do, reply to the person, i'm sending the attachment next, do that and you're done. 2 e-mails sure but you've accomplished what you need to do.

I've seen it mentioned on here that a PRAM reset may solve it:
Reset PRAM
Shut down the computer.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command, Option, P and R.
You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
Turn on the computer.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys. You must press this key combination before the gray screen appears.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
Release the keys.

Apple update ruined my playlists, they are no longer on my ipod and playlist i didnt have are. how can I get mine back. And i am missing songs that appear in itunes but not on the ipod?

We have too many apple devices, how can I creat another apple ID and divide the devices among 2 Apple Ids?

We started off with the original iPhone a few years ago and now between my wife and I (plus Kids) we have too many apple devices under the same apple-ID (2 X iPhone 6+, 2X macbook Pro, 2X iPod-touch and 1X iPad)
We are constantly running into issues because everyone in the house is using the same apple id, downloading Apps using the same ID, sharing the same cloud and receiving each other's iMessages.
I know that I can create another Apple-ID, what I am unclear on is once I do have a new apple ID, how do I assign that to half the devices (1X iPhone 6+, 1 X MBP and 1 Ipad)

I'm not sure what they told your at the Apple store, but each Apple ID can only create a single iCloud account. If you want separate accounts for all these devices, they will have to be created using separate IDs. Note: you can do this and still share the same ID for other services such as your iTunes store account. The iCloud ID does not need to be the same as the ID used for other services.
To create an account, go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with a different Apple ID. If you want to migrate a copy of the current iCloud data to the different accounts, start by saving any photo stream photos that you want to keep to your camera roll (unless already there) by opening your my photo stream album, tapping Select, tapping the photos, tap the share icon (box with upward facing arrow), then tapping Save to Camera Roll. If you are syncing notes with iCloud that you want to keep, you'll need to open each of your notes and email them to yourself so you can later copy and paste the text into new notes created in your new account. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account (which only deletes it from this device, not from iCloud; the devices keeping the current account will not be effected by this), provide the password to turn off Find My iDevice and choose Keep on My iDevice when prompted. Then sign back in with a different Apple ID to create your new account and choose Merge to upload your data.

How can I merge double CDs, boxsets, and bonus material down to one grouping in iTunes?

By far the most annoying thing about iTunes to me is that it will separate double albums and songs that have bonus tracks onto two or more albums. I don’t understand why iTunes does this. The reason that some albums are released as double albums is that the albums were too long to fit on a single cd. Of course when using iTunes we don’t have that space restriction so why can’t I just merge everything together?
I have tried changing the title of the albums but that mixes the songs together oddly. It will play track one of disc one and then it will play track one of disc two! Obviously that wasn’t what I intended for it to do. What I find even more frustrating then splitting by double albums is that if you buy the disc and then buy bonus material on the albums from iTunes and Amazon you will have the bonus material just group by where you purchased it. One of the albums I have lists the album three times because both iTunes and Amazon had bonus material that I got from that album that could only be bought at certain stores. How can I get them all merged together into one album?

You can give both CDs the identical album name but then make sure you enter a number for each disc in the disc number field. This will set the order to tracks on disc 1, then disc 2.
I have never bought bonus material so I am not sure of the nature of this material. As long as you give things the identical album and artist name they will all cluster in the same album as long as nothing is set in the sort fields. If the artist varies then make sure the album artist field is set to the identical artist.

How can I sync (or export) Evernote (and CaptureNotes 2) files to Dropbox in iPad?

I want to export my Evernote files into a Dropbox folder in iPad. The same goes for CaptureNotes 2 files. However, there is no such option in Evernote or CaptureNotes. Is there any way to send my note files (may be in PDF or JPEG format) to Dropbox?

Evernote already has its own cloud storage function (in fact, that's kind of the whole point of Evernote) so it doesn't have any reason to have Dropbox integration. I believe I've seen instructions in the Evernote forums on how to move your entire Evernote database from your computer to Dropbox but, depending on the size of your Evernote database, you'd need to have a DropBox Pro account.
Perhaps if you explained why you want to save Evernote to Dropbox rather than simply relying on the built in cloud service, people could give better suggestions.

How take a list of POSIX paths and move the related files?

Just wondering if anyone could help me with this, I am probably making a really obvious error.
I have quite a simple applescript set up where by it searches a specific folder for whatever you like (, generates a list of posix paths and then moves them to another folder.
It works great when it finds just the one file but when it finds more than one i get an error.
The part of the script that moves the files looks like this:

I have lost my password and the DVD is not working on my old mac desktop G4 500mhz. I have tried use the boot up disk to change the admin password. But the DVD did not work. ( I did not touch this machine for years.) But i need retreive something , so I have tried the shell script in the terminal
1. fsck-y and the mount-uw to try to change and find the service directory's plist to change the password. But after I get the mount -uw, it show illegal option message.
What I can do now to solve this problem? in shell script or any other way?

A DVD drive that is not working after many years not used:
most probably dust on the little laser lens.
Take the drive out and if you can reach this lens: clean it with pure alcohol on Q-Tip.
Many people throw away cd or dvd players all the time because they stopped working, and very often it can easily be fixed by cleaning this lens.
I used to have a G5, where I couldn't access that lens. It was very sensitive to dust.
I have fixed it several times with compressed air. One time I didn't have canned air, but a bikepump did the trick.
If you have another mac, I'd try to access the G4 internal disk with firewire target disk mode.

My screen suddenly went out, yet the computer is still running. It would turn on but the screen would not light up at all. A service guy plugged it into an external monitor and now the screen appears to be working fine. Anyone else have this happen?

If your computer is a 2011, you can stop the blue screen by turning off graphic card switching. Under apple, system preferences, energy, uncheck box. Temporary fix. Your logic board may need to be replaced if you are under warranty or have apple care otherwise $1000.00. May be software or firmware problem but apple has provided no info. Replacing logic board has corrected problem for some users and not others. Everything I've mentioned only applies to 2011 MBPs.

The file name only has 6 characters and I'm not sure what the .mod format is. So that's why they are not seen by the iPad.
Another way to transfer. You can use a USB flash drive & the camera connection kit.
Plug the USB flash drive into your computer & create a new folder titled DCIM. Then put your movie/photo files into the folder. The files must have a filename with exactly 8 characters long (no spaces) plus the file extension (i.e., my-movie.mov; DSCN0164.jpg).
Now plug the flash drive into the iPad using the camera connection kit. Open the Photos app, the movie/photo files should appear & you can import. (You can not export using the camera connection kit.)
