1. Close all inactive apps in the Task Bar
2. Reset iPad
3. Try TV series again

Did you try to reboot the iPad?

If your iPhone is restarting unexpectedly, I recommend starting with step three in this troubleshooting guide:

Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIs and corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 30 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.

One potential cause of this is an unwanted extension. Try disabling ALL nonessential or unrecognized extensions on the Add-ons page. Either:
* Ctrl+Shift+a
* orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Extensions. Then, if in doubt, disable.
Usually a link will appear above at least one disabled extension to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links as the last step.
If you are adventurous about installing software from various websites, you may have loaded a bundle that contains some, well, crap. To review recent additions, go to your Windows Control Panel, Uninstall a Program, and click the "Installed on" column heading to bring the most recent items to the top. Remove anything unexpected or unwanted.

or you can just tap "App Store" on your iPhone, then "Updates" at the lower left of the screen, then "Purchased" and then the cloud download symbol to the right of the app.

I have an ITunes account. I got it when I got my IPOD. I've thought about upgrading, but I didn't see any reason to buy a newer IPOD because they all come with so much stuff I don't want/need. I don't have my current IPOD filled yet and I really don't need an IPOD Touch that has capabilities that my Droid already has. You are missing two plugins required to achieve your goal. Download [http://get.adobe.com/shockwave/ Adobe Shockwave for Director] and download [http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/ Apple Quicktime] You need the latter plugin to support Shockwave.
Similarly, you can watch youtube in HTML5 now instead of Flash. All you need to do is to sign up to the HTML5 trial by clicking the link at the foot of this page: [http://www.youtube.com/html5 HTML5 Trial Signup] You don't have to fill in any forms.
But please check your plugins at [http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/plugincheck/ Plugins Check] site. Some of the others might be out of date.

Well, whichever device you uncheck = exclude from calendars (and reminders) via iCloud will be excluded as both, receiver and sender. It's an "all or nothing", I guess. Otherwise it'd get more complicated, and the support calls could easily fill an extra forum...
@lmp68: don't think iTunes is it, in the days of iCloud that would sure take quite an extra effort, if possible at all.

But the iPhone 5 and the iPad mini should support HD videos.
What I would try is downloading the movies directly to your iPad mini or your iPhone. You will want to do this when connected to Wi-Fi, but you can follow these steps in this article: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519

If the TV Show is downloaded on your iPad, you don't need Wi-Fi to watch it.

If you mean that the shows are still taking up space on the iPad - of course they will unless you remove them. Is that what you mean?
You can transfer them into iTunes on your computer and kept them there via File>Transfer Purchases while the iPad is connected to the computer with iTunes running and if the iPad has been selected on the left side of the iTunes window under Devices.
If you just want to delete them - go to Settings>General>Usage>Storage>Video>Edit and you can select the shows and delete them. You can also tap and hold down on the TV show icons in the Videos App and the X will pop up to delete the shows.
