I have downloaded and installed Photoshop Elements 12 on Windows7. It does not work properly. Help?

I downloaded Photoshop Elements 12 to work on my new platform Windows 7. It does not work properly. Specifically my problem is that I can only load one picture at a time onto the work area even if I have chosen two separate pictures. In other words I can not cut and paste not can I join pictures together.
If I load the program on my older computer with WindowsXP it works fine.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

You have probably forgotten. In recent versions of PSE you must go to the edit>preferences>general and turn on Allow Floating Documents.

    There was no driver update available (it said my driver was up to date), so I just deleted the scanner and restarted the computer.  when it came up, the scanner had already been added again.  With great anticipation I tried to import from Photoshop...but no luck (scanner was not visible).  I finally ended up calling Epson (had great difficulty in locating a number for support) and they finally told me there is no driver update for OS X 10.10 and I should as a work around use "Image Capture" application.  I tried it, and it works quite well.

    As long as your license supports both platforms you should only have to download the Mac version and install/activate using your serial number.  If you need help finding a link to download the file, please indicate the PSE version you need.

    I downloaded and installed Photoshop Elements & Premiere Elements.  I then launched Photoshop Elements Organizer and imported approx. 28,000 photos (including some videos).  A window opened indicating that many of the photos had tags, and asking if I wanted to add the tags.  I said yes, and the process began.  When it reached 60% a window opened indicating that "Elements 13 Organizer has stopped working", with the only option being to "Close program."
    I've since tried to open organizer several times, but it goes immediately to "Elements 13 Organizer has stopped working".  I was able to open Editor, and tried opening Organizer from Editor, but encountered the same problem.
    FYI, I have an open case (#0214505556), but have not received the help I need.

    This issue is with respect to Elements 13.

    PSE 13 isn't compatible with anything older than win 7, unfortunately.

    Are you using any MS Office third party Add-ins? Test:  Remove third party Add-ins other than PDFMaker.  Test to see if the MS Office apps run afterward.
    Did you attempt to repair MS Office?  Test:  Go to Add/Remove Control Panel run Repair.
    Finally, have you tried testing to see if it's PDFMaker?  Test: Use the Add/Remove Control Panel to modify the Acrobat installation to remove PDFMaker.  See if MS Office applications launch and behave correctly?

    I tried chatting with someone earlier today, but they ended the session (I think accidentally?) before it was resolved. My error is below. Now chat seems to be closed - although I thought it was open 24/7, so I can't try that again. This is the most frustrating support experience I've ever had. I just want to access and start using the products I purchased Friday. I would be so happy if someone would just help fix this. I am not computer inept, but cannot figure out why the download is failing.
    The guy on chat that was helping me before getting cut off had me run a SCANNOW system scan, but that's where the session unexpectedly ended.

    Please see specific errors below for troubleshooting. For example,  ERROR:

    Win 7 Home Premium. Photoshop CC was crashing constantly and some features would not work properly. I uninstalled and now cannot get it to reinstall from the CC Website, Photoshop CC does not appear in the CC Desktop app. In the past I have been directed to a page where I could directly access the download, but I cannot find that page.

  • I Installed Premiere Elements 11 but it does not work!

    Two days ago I firs installed Photoshop Elements 11, and at the end everything was all right. I m now using PE11 satisfactory.
    After this I installed Premiere 11 from the Adobe DVD ; at the end I clikked on the icon, but  PPremiere 11 just kept idle and no sign of life. I upgraded the audio and sound cards, but to no avail at all. The yesterday I clikked on the icon and saw this error message - 0XC000007b
    Wonder if anybody could offer his help!

    start to see "Fixed". See if any of those contributions work for you.

    a. Do you have latest version of QuickTime installed on your computer with Premiere Elements
    b. Are you running Premiere Elements 11 as Run as Administrator or from a User Account with Administrative Privileges?

    I bought the Elements 10 Software about 1 or 2 months ago. I installed it (with the CD) on my old laptop, but I recently got a new one that does not have a CD drive. After uninstalling it on my old laptop, I wanted to download the software to my new laptop, but cannot find anything but Elements 11 trials...

    Like you I contacted Support, in my case via Live Chat. They didn't tell me to upgrade but did tell me to copy files to a flash drive or similar. Like you, I said this was unacceptable.
    My product was registered, don't know if that was important, but eventually they sent me a link from which to download elements 10 and stayed online to ensure the download worked which, after one false start on my part, it did.
    So it took some time but it has been sorted. Below is the email I got from them signing off the issue. If you have still got a problem, Seetharam was very helpful.

    I Have an iPad mini running iOS 7.1.2,  I downloaded a new app and it's icon does not appear anywhere ( have ~ 180 apps so not at limit) and it won't open from the purchased apps list.  It does not show up when I search for it so can't open t that way either.  It doesn't require iOS 8.  Can't delete and reinstall, cause not icon.  This is not a normal "app won't open" question.  it doesn't start the. Stop it just doesn't seem to exist.  Any help is appreciated

    I would add some information:
    Uninstall Internet Explorer 11 is possible, but install an Internet Explorer 10 is not an option in Windows 10 Technical Preview, due to this is no such update existed for Windows 10 Technical Preview.

    I have PS Elements 11, which I purchased some time ago and am now trying to install. Let me recount the fun I've had:
    1. I came to the window requesting the serial number.
    2. I found the redemption code and logged onto your site to get the serial number.
    3. I found I needed to register in order to get to your activation page, so I registered.
    4. I entered the redemption code and got this message: The code you entered is invalid. Please try again.
    5. I triple checked every character and tried again; still no go.
    6. I re-entered but this time used lower case letters; still no go.
    7. Went back to your site for help; none of the remedies worked, unless you think going around in circles is helpful.
    8. Clicked on Contact Us.
    9. Was sent to this community, which I could not access until I registered.
    10. Found a thread that addressed this same problem, albeit it was PS Elements 12. The writer's experience mirrored mine exactly. The final message in the thread advised the writer to follow a link.
    11. I clicked on the link, hoping to find an e-mail address or active chat room, but instead I was rerouted to the community!
    I am at my wit's end trying to get help. Please help, but please, in the name of Zeus, do not give me a link that just takes me back to your community or your "trouble-shooting" pages. Been there, done that. I need real help here.

    After some serious hunting I finally found a link for live chat (that hunting also included switching to Internet Explorer where I had been using Chrome; I don't know if that's what made the difference). I gave the person at chat my redemption code; soon they came back and told me they had validated the code.
    I went to the code redemption page and put in the code, and AGAIN it came back invalid! A second visit to chat yielded a similar promise, but with instructions to go to my Adobe ID page and check for the serial number there, under Products and Plans. I went there, checked Products and Plans, and found no serial number.
    I was borderline homicidal at this point.
    Still on the ID page, out of desperation I clicked on the Other Products link, and there, FINALLY, I found the serial number. It worked when I ran the install program, and now PS 11 Elements is up and running on my computer.
    I would compare getting a serial number to PS 11 Elements to trying to find the Ark of the Covenant, except that finding the Ark is a cinch by comparison. I'm sure the difficulties I encountered were not of your making, but were the result of some horrible brain farts of those above you. Thanks for your help.
