I have downloaded but system keeps telling me I need to do it again. It won't work...

I have tried for a week to get my flash to work. It says and shos it has downloaded but when I try to use it replies that I need to download it. I have tried everything it said to do but nothing works. To say the least I am very very aggrivated.

Installed EnSharpen to watch AVIs, but QT keeps telling me I need it.

I am unable to consistently see the video when playing .AVIs. QT tells me I need to download a plug in.
I followed the links and downloaded EnSharpen Video Codec. I installed (and reinstalled and re-reinstalled.) But QT keeps telling me I need the plug in. These AVIs are tracks on a set of CDs that are all part of a home study course. Some CDs have 6 tracks and only one track gives me a problem. Other CDs have problems with all the tracks.
I get audio, but no video--just a blank white screen.
Any ideas?

I am trying to downloadapps onto the iPad we just purchased, and it keeps telling me that I need to authorize my computer. I go ahead and authorize by going into iTunes/store/authorize computer, I verify the information that is given. I go back and try to redownload the apps and I get the same exact message, this computer is not authorized for this device. What am I doing wrong?

I have been trying to work through this problem by myself and have so far downloaded the most current version of iTunes. Frome there when it tells me I have to authorize this computer, I had to not put in the iPad information, I had to authorize with my current iTunes information, and any iPad or iPod, iPhone information. I have several people in the family that have different accounts, so I had to authorize each and every individual account because I didnt know which apps or music was purchased under which user. I've downloaded 3 times, but it keeps telling me I need to upgrade/download.

After I have downloaded, and I shut down and re-boot, Firefox tells me I need to up grade. I.E. I suppose the down load didn't work. So what now?

After you finished installing did you launch Adobe Reader from your /Applications folder and accept EULA(End User License Agreement)?
Assuming you are seeing this message in Safari , Please try this:
Quit Safari
Go to /Applications/ and launch Adobe Reader
Accept End User License
Now launch Safari and View PDF.

Do you have that plugin enabled or disabled? 
Look in Tools > Addons > Plugins to see.

If you already have Acrobat installed, there's no need to download it again. When you launch Acrobat, you should be given an option to "License this Software." Click that option, and then log in with your Adobe ID and password, and you should be all set!

I tried disabling TM by issuing the command in console " sudo tmutil disable local". Still no luck. Is there a way of erasing all the time machine backups from my system disc?

Thanks Matt. I tried erasing the "Backups.backupdb" folder. It does not allow me to do that, inspite of "sudo"-ing. I ended up installing Mavericks on another disc, and use disc migration assistant to transfer my data, before swapping out the old disc from the MBP.
