I have downloaded firefox 4 twice and installed it, and my firefox browser still keeps coming up everytime i open it.
I went through the whole process of downloading the new version, installing it, and then at the end when you press launch firefox, the old browser version still comes up. I have done this twice already and do no understand what the problem is.
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.<br />

If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile (be careful not to copy corrupted files)

You may also need to check your security software (firewall) and make sure that it doesn't block Firefox.

Adobe Reader is meant for reading pdf documents.
What is the file type that you are trying to open.
After downloading PSE 12 you need to install it to be abvle to use it.
Does it show in the list of installed programs?
If Yes then what error do you get when you try to launch the software.
Also let me know which OS are you using.

In any case, did you try a clean reinstall of Firefox? If not, open the C:\Program Files folder and delete the '''Mozilla Firefox''' folder, if it's there. Next, go to mozilla.org/firefox click the green download button and install a new copy. -

I am trying to re-install Photoshop CS6. The files have downloaded but I get and error message that the Adobe Support Advisor is required to determine what the installation probIem is. The CC Cleaner Tool assumes the Akamai Download Manager is activated and it has not. It seems to be the missing file that triggers the error message. \in a previous re-install I was prompted to download & install the Akamai Download Manger, but not this time. Is there somewhere on the Adobe website that I can download it??

There are no files like that in that folder (com.apple.safari). They all have long numbers with .jpeg or .png at the end. That's what I meant by I cannot find any files like those mentioned in all the helps I read today. BTW-it's still crashing - no particular pattern to it at all.
The only two things I have downloaded recently is a new version of Flash and a Mac-driven update to Office.

After installing Mountain Lion. No sound. Under sound, where it says select an output device, it says no output devices found, and there is no sound. How do I fix this? I have reinstalled the os twice and still the same. I have also repaired permissions.

I have downloaded MAMP for Mac and want to use it for working with Wordpress. I'm on an Imac with Maverick OS 10.9. I had mysql installed before this and would like to uninstall it and use MAMP. It was easy to turn off Apache and PHP but don't know how to uninstall mysql. Please help!!
It depends on how you installed it. You have to shutdown the MySQL service first. If you used the standard, but obsolete Startup Item, you can do that with the Startup Item. If you created a launchd script, you can do it with launchctl. Once MySQL is no longer running, you can delete the Startup Item or launchd script and the rest of MySQL.

My OS is Windows 7. I want to change from IE to Firefox. After selecting the standard installation I am told that I must reboot to remove an older version of Firefox. This is as far as I have been able to get. I have downloaded 3 times now and rebooted 4. Any ideas?
