The other option, which is a lot easier than trying to find things on the page is to go to http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/ Right (or control) click on the download link and copy the link location. Paste that into your URL bar, and change the version number in there to the one you want.
E.G.
http://www.mozilla.org/products/download.html?product=firefox-7.0.1&os=osx&lang=en-US
Change the 7.0.1 to 3.6.23 or 2.0 or 1.0 or whatever version number you want.

As long as you registered your products, you can follow the following to get the S/Ns: http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/find-serial-number.html#adobeproductdownload. The logging into your account at adobe.com with your adobe ID should provide you a list of all the products and S/Ns that you have registered. Depending on the products, the downloads may or may not be available any longer. You indicated you had a backup and I hope you meant of the install files that you previously downloaded. You should always keep backups of downloaded software you have purchased.

If you mean iBooks, most can only be viewed on an iOS device (iPhone, iPad, iPod touch) in the iBooks app. Only the public domain Project Gutenberg books can be read on a computer, and for that you will need an application that can open ePub files.
If that's not what you meant, please explain further where you are getting these books and how you are attempting to view them.

Firefox does not send emails to users about anything. Who is the sender of that email? It's probably a scam. You have Firefox 4.0.1 as indicated in your System details. You might want to scan your Mac with anti-virus/spywares programs to make sure no malwares and/or spywares were installed. That could have explained why you received such email.
FYI, Even if your email has an attachment, you should never open it unless it's being sent from someone you know.
And are these reminders come in the form of emails or pop-ups? If they are emails, I'll report them as spams and delete them.

I need Firefox 5 but can't find that download anywhere. Firefox 6 is not compatible with the CMS for our church website.

Our online church management software is compatible with Firefox 5 but not Firefox 6. I just got a new laptop and downloaded Firefox 6. Now I'm getting messages from other sites (Quickbooks online) that they won't support 3.6 much longer and I need to upgrade to Firefox 5 or higher. There are parts of the CMS that don't work with Firefox 6. They do in IE and Chrome but I much prefer Firefox. Until they get their CMS updated to work with version 6, I need to go back to 5. You may see that message below the Google search box on www.google.com/firefox which is the old Firefox default home page. It appears that page is no longer being maintained. You appear to have the latest Firefox 8.0.1 installed
