I have downloaded flash player many time will not complete download.

I have tried to download many, many, times to download the latest version of your flash player!!!  I have called geek squad to help me fix the problem.  It still has not been resolved.  I have visited you trouble shooting sites and followed all steps explained and still will not complete download.  I have deleted all flash on my computer and tried to down load and it starts to go through the steps and completes the download but does not complete instillation.  When I try to play a game it tells me that I have to download the new version.  I am getting very frustrated!!!!  When I look in my programs the icon is not complete, and when I uninstall the program it says that there was an error in the installation and download not complete.  PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

My problem is a little different.
Yesterday, I received a notice to download an update to flash player.  I did so, but it was just as Microsoft Word started up.  The installation took forever and eventually I received a message to the effect the installation was incomplete.
I also discovered a new user account had been created on my computer.  Its name is 'bimvhcba'. Inside the account is a Windows-free zone -- basically a black screen.  I deleted the account through control panel and rebooted.  I do not seem to be able to rid my computer of this account.
My computer is a laptop running Windows Vista with Chrome as the default browser.  Through this site, I checked to see what version of Flash Player was running on my computer.  It is the most recent one.
I have run comprehensive virusscans and spyware scans.  No malware turns up.
I'm baffled. Any suggestions you have would be welcome.

  • Downloaded Flash Player many times, still prompted to download

Every time I try to watch a video, I get a prompt to download the latest version of Adobe Flash Player (11.7-something).  I have done this repeatedly over the past several days but still get the prompt.  I already have Chrome downloaded on my computer.  I tried uninstalling my Flash version, rebooting my computer and this is just getting repetitious because nothing works.  I'm wasting way too much of my time just trying to get this to work.  What's going on?
How can I get my computer to hold the update I've taken the time to run.
Do I have to use Chrome now, not Internet Explorer, every time I want to watch a video?  I do not like to use Chrome.

Thanks for your reply.  My computer says the Flash Player 11.7... is installed, so why can't I view videos when I am in Internet Explorer?  How do I find out which Windows (7 or 8) I have?

Hi, Sorry to hear about the challenges that you face. Adobe Flash Player is directly integrated with Google Chrome and is enabled by default. Window 8 + Internet Explorer 10 also comes with integrated Flash Player. So you need not do any installation or updates for Google Chrome or Window 8 +IE 10 combo. But for other OS versions and browsers, you need to update (automatically or manually based on your installation setup) Flash Player.  If you are facing installation issues, please refer to the following pages:http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/flash-player-faq.htmlhttp://helpx.adobe.com/flash-p layer/kb/installation-problems-flash-pla yer-windows.htmlhttp://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-pla yer-mac.html Hope the above helps. Ziatron is correct that Flash does not work on an iPad, but it does work on a Mac. See Adobe Flash Player 11.2.202.160.

  • I have installed Flash Player 5 times. It keeps disappearing, or won't load when I'm running MSIE8.0

I am running Windows XP, MSIE 8.0. I have installed Flash Player 5 times. It keeps disappearing, or won't even install over Internet Explorer. It stops halfway, and tells me to close Internet Explorer because it can't install with it running. I did that yesterday, and it installed when I started IE again, so I thought the problem was solved. Then, today, I logged on and tried to use Flash Player.  It was not installed.  I re-installed it, and came to the same block. It will not install while Internet Explorer is running.

Download the correct 32-bit or 64-bit uninstaller and installer and exit I.E.8.

    Run the uninstaller.
    Reboot.
    Run the installer.

Where are you trying to get Flash Player from? Downloading is different from installing but many malicious websites offer to supply Flash Player as a means of installing malicious software and gathering personal information (e.g., passwords). You should get Adobe Flash only from Adobe and this link lets you download the full installer (Mac OS X (Intel) DMG) and run it locally. At that point OS X will ask for your password and if you've been using it successfully for other purposes (e.g., changing some items in System Preferences), it should work there too. Note that once Flash Player is installed, a Preference panel is installed too, and in it you can authorize Adobe to update Flash automatically.

Install it directly from Adobe. Ensure that you use the uninstaller before installing.

The message requesting that you download Adobe Flash Player takes you to FP requireing an Intel processor. Doesn't work on a PowerPC processor. I fould a hack, installed it & it works with Firefox, TenFourFox & Safari.
Download this http://www.steelbin.com/FPforFBPPC.zip to your desktop, unzip it, and replace the current Flash Player plug-in which is in your main/Library/Internet Plug-Ins folder, (not the user Library). Save the old one just in case this one doesn't work.

  • Flash Player 10.2 will not install - not same problem as Audrey below.

    Hi,
Using Win 7 home deluxe, was using Flash player no problem until the office had me uninstall it to fix another problem but now will not reinstall, keeps insisting on installing Mc Afee alongside it and then Mc Afee won't install correctly and won't allow Flash Player to install either.
Have repeatedly uninstalled the full Adobe free software suite, and Mc Afee and started from the beginning have tried using the 32 bit IE instead of thr 64 bit, when the window comes up showing the registration it only shows the Quit button will not let me use the Agree or Install button and again and again it keeps installing Mc Afee without being asked, I don't use or need Mc Afee as have Nortons.   I have also been turning off the norton antivrus while doing the installation as i know that can interfere with it.
been trying this on and off for some days now, multiple times, and I do need to get this fixed I would appreciate some advice thanks
    T

Yes Friend and I posted a message of thanks also which I'm very pleased to send to you personally, the missing link was that little check box you mentioned, I had done the install or tried to many times but never seen that small box so that was the problem.
Very grateful  - thanks very much for your time and patience !!
    Best Regards
    Tim

    Welcome to the Apple community.
A number of people have reported similar issues recently, many appear to have found a discrepancy of some kind in their account settings and making changes to these settings or simply resetting them has resolved the matter.
Check your account details are correct, check that you are using the correct details for Location, Region and Time Zone. You may want to change these settings and then change them back to see if that helps.
You might also try logging out of and then back into your iTunes account (Settings > iTunes Store > Apple ID’s > Sign Out) and restarting your router. (Some have reported that after doing this, they need to check for rentals even though it may report that there aren’t any, after which rentals once again appear in the ‘movies’ feature)
Rentals should appear under their own heading in the ‘Movies’ feature, you might also check at Settings > iTunes Store > Check For Rentals.

  • I AM UNABLE TO DOWNLOAD FLASH PLAYER 10.3. A TECH DOWNLOADED FLASH PLAYER 10 PLUG IN LAST WEEK.

DO I NEED BOTH?  WHEN I TRIED TO WATCH A VIDEO ON MY E-MAIL I WAS TOLD THAT I NEEDED TO DOWNLOAD FLASH PLAYER.  WHEN I TRY TO DOWNLOAD IT NOTHING HAPPENS.  I HAVE WINDOWS VISTA AND I AM USING IE9 WHICH THE TECH ALSO DOWNLOADED FOR ME.  SINCE MY CALL I GET A BOX WITH A SCRIPT ERROR ON NEARLY EVERY PAGE.

Hi, I am back and can see clearly.  I have not experienced the error box while moving the pointer.  I do have some examples for your review.  I will start with what happens when I start a session.  I click on IE and get the error box.  I click on red "X".  Comcast.net is my home page and the Tab is trying to take me there.  The symbol showing that it is running is turning but will not connect.  Next I click on the "X" on the address bar.  This stops the TAB. Now I click on the Refresh and I get my home page without any error box.
    Examples
    1.  The animalrescuesite.com
From e-mail.  I am helping to provide food for animals and it doesn't cost me.  If you are interested I encourage you to go to the site and sign up.  You will get an email each day and it takes less than thirty seconds to do.  When I open there is no error box.  When I click on "click here" I get the error box.  To close I click on the red "X". I then click on purple box "click here to give".  No more error boxes backing out of the site.
From address bar there is no error box on page 2.
    2.  bestwestern.com
From e-mail.  Same as example #1. no error box on page 1.  When I click on "book now" I get error box.  I click on red "X" and then no more error boxes while in the site.  I clicked on each tab.  Also no error boxes while backing out of site.
From address bar there is no error box on page 2.
    3.  Any e-mail with video link.
When I click on the link I get the error box. After I click on the red "X" the video starts.
I hope this helps.   Also I wanted to get your take on me uninstalling the fire fox and when.  I am ready to compose my e-mail to Adobe.  Do you want to see it before I send it.  You might offer an insight that I miss.

  • FLASH PLAYER INSTALLS BUT WILL NOT RUN

I have installed Flash Player multiple times.  The installation indicates it was successful, the Control Panel and list of programs installed indicate that the program is present but when I run a web site that requires it, I get a message that I need to install it.  The Adobe Flash Player Help does not indicate that it is installed.
Running Windows 7 Home Premium , 32 bit; service pack 1; IE 9.0.8112  The computer is a Dell Laptop with  Intel (R) core(TM)2 Duo CPU T5800 @ 2.0 GHz  2.00 GHz with 3.00GB RAM.  Tech specs say 2.33 GHz is required.  Is this the problem?  Are there earlier versions of Flash Point that will work?

    I went to the discussion you referenced and did the following ;
Under Internet Options, I disabled Protective Mode and restarted the computer.  Flash Player  did not work.  I then removed Flash Player using Windows uninstall via the Control Panel.  I reloaded Flash Player with Protective mode still off.  After Flash Player successfully loaded, I turned Protective mode back on ( I didn’t want to run in unprotected mode)  I restarted the computer and Flash Player worked and has been ever since.  Thank you.
