I have downloaded & installed the eBay Toolbar, but there is no sign of it?

Having downloaded the latest version of Firefox, I am increasingly finding it difficult to understand.
I need the "eBay toolbar" to operate eBay, so have downloaded it from the web. According to it's installer
it is now in place, but it has not appeared in Firefox as in the past. How now Brown cow?

Thank you for you help. Subsequent to my post, I went back to the beginning, and was able to resolve my problem by watching the video, (not easy, it's too fast,) and obtaining the file via the add-on search procedure, rather than using my usual web download process. As the saying goes, if all else fails, read the instructions !!

Try resetting the printing system.
1. Open System Preferences > Print & Fax
2. Move your mouse over the Printers list
3. Hold down the Control button and click the mouse
4. Click the "Reset printing system ..." popup
5. Restart your Mac
This will remove your print queues but not your printer drivers. So you will only need to add your printer queues again.

Hi Al, have you ever used Persona before? If not, it might be easier to set up your Persona account here: https://login.persona.org/
After setting it up, what will happen when you sign in with a Yahoo account, at least for me, is that a Yahoo window opens and you sign in on Yahoo's form. Then you are sent back to the Persona window.

The gift would be sent via email to the address you gave when you set up the gift. Have you checked that email account? If so and nothing has appeared, make sure there aren't any anti-spam filters in place that might be blocking emails from Apple. Then if you still don't see the email, try resending the gift:

Having a credit balance won't prevent you from entering in a new payment method. A balance remaining would be an issue only if you're trying to change the country of your iTunes Store account. If your payment method is being rejected, then either it's invalid - a debit card which are in many countries not accepted, or a credit card from another country - or there's something amiss with your account. In the latter instance, or if the gift still doesn't come through, contact the iTunes Store and request assistance.

First of all, see if the Alexa toolbar is listed in the list of toolbars, found in menu View (Alt+v) -> Toolbars.
If it is and doesn't have a checkmark beside it, enable it by clicking it in the list in that menu.
If it is and does have a checkmark beside it, it may be displayed outside the window somehow or there is some other problem, please try and see if the [[Back and forward or other toolbar items are missing]] support article can help you solve it.
If it is not listed in the Toolbars menu, it may not have installed properly for some reason - check in menu Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions that it is installed. Our support article [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]] may be able to help you, this may also apply if you're not using the default theme as it could be a problem with the theme.
The article [[Unable to install add-ons]] may also be helpful and goes more in-depth with add-on installation problems.

I tried to use Verizon's toolbar, but that keeps throwing me back to Internet explorer 9, which I don't want to use, and asks me to use I.E 9 as my default browser. All I want is to use a toolbar with FF ( preferably verizon toolbar, but would use FF toolbar as well), and I can't seem to get one without having to use Int. Exp. 9. Any ideas as to what I can do to get a toolbar on my FF browser?

My Ipad 2 will not open apps that I have download from the app store but will open apps that came preinstalled.

My IPAD 2 will some times not open apps that I have down load from the app store. But will open all of the preinstalled apps.I must go to the app store and install something and then all the apps will open. I should not have to install unwanted apps to keep my IPad working.I have reset and total reset nothing sames to work.

Sounds to me like you may have an issue with the firmware, i.e. the iOS version that you are runing. I also have an iPad 2 and sometimes have to restart it to get it to recognize and run a newly downloaded app. And only once or twice have I had to uninstall and redownload an app that this didn't fix. I think this has more to do with the way an app has been coded more than anything else.
You might try doing a "Reset All Settings" reset and set it up as a new iPad. You should not lose any data, apps, music, videos, etc. that you have stored on your device. I have done this a few times when tweaking the iOS 5.0.1 firmware and never lost anything. You do have to re-enter your ID's and Passwords for wifi. And of course you will need to go back into settings and reset any changes you may have made to things like location and notifications.
I don't know if this will work, but if I was in your place this is the next step that I would take.

Tried to download/install the Pro subscription, but it stalled

I just purchased the Pro subscription and tried to download and install. It stalled, so I cancelled and restarted the computer. Tried it install again, and I get a message that there's one in progress, and I need to wait until it finishes. Depending on your system, it may take a long time to download. It might not have installed. Unfortunately, MS decided to take the network activity icon away (there is a 3rd party download), so you don't know that it is still running. The download is over 300 MB as I recall. To stop the installation in Windows, you should be able to use ctrl-alt-del and check the running tasks. There should be one running that corresponds to the install.
Also, when you install, be sure you are logged in as the administrator and have anti-virus disabled.

Sorry, I'm baffled. If you install an add-on, and let Firefox restart, and the add-on is not there, that could indicate a problem with your Firefox profile. You might want to try creating a new profile, import your bookmarks, and install the add-ons again.
First, I recommend backing up your Firefox settings in case something goes wrong. See [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Backing+up+your+information Backing up your information]. (You can copy your entire Firefox profile folder somewhere outside of the Mozilla folder.)

You have 2 versions of Pages on your Mac.
Pages 5.2.2 in the Applications folder.
Pages '09 in your Applications/iWork folder/
You are alternately opening your files with the wrong version.

I drew a shape with the pen tool (which took me ages..) , I traced it from a picture I imported, and i am unable to reselect it. I can see it in red but I am just not able to reselect it. I have the layer selected, but there is no sign of it in my paths panel at all. I tried clicking the direct selection tool (about 100 times), I tried the brush tool. I tried everything. I have 4.0 installed, have downloaded 5.o several times but cannot install it - the message is that I "don't have permission"; using a mac book pro OS 10.6.

Have been unsuccessful many times in updating firefox. I get the messages: do you want to replace earlier version? I click yes, then get message stating I don't have permission to install the newer version. There has been no asking for a password to install this on my Mac, which is what I assume may be needed for the installation.
How can I achieve this?
At times I have been offered ( by firefox) an opportunity to connect with their updater, but this connection has lasted 30 min., with no success, so I have closed the window.

If you have problems with updating or with the permissions then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.
Download a new copy of the Firefox program and save the DMG file to the desktop

* Trash the current Firefox application to do a clean (re-)install
* Install the new version that you have downloaded
Your profile data is stored elsewhere in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Firefox Profile Folder], so you won't lose your bookmarks and other personal data.
