I have downloaded Lion twice and just at the end it said there was an error. What is wrong?

I have a MacBook Pro that was purchased in January 2011. I am really annoyed because the downloading takes 24h.

I too am having problems with the download speed and errors after it's downloaded. We have a T-1 line - which is fairly fast - not as fast as some - but come on--- I've download files bigger then this in a few hours - This file took 12 hours plus to download - what seems to be the problem? I have downloaded it twice and both time it comes up with corruption errors. I've considered buying the thumb drive version - just because I can't do this any more.
I want to know how do you get a credit back for this junk! I'm been reading different reviews of Lion - and they're ---- NOT FAVORABLE!
Maybe I"ll JUST count my losses and FORGET THIS UPGRADE! I LOVE MACS - but I'm not loving this!

So my ex decided to take it upon himself and set up my IPad and put passcodes all over the place as well as using his apple id to put things on my Ipad. Now that we are broke up I am trying to get into my Ipad and use it and can not. I have tried to restore it and wipe it clean to start ovwer but at the end of the process i get a msg stating that there is a passcode of somesort that i need to disable. Nope - you cannot restore a backup from a newer iOS version on to a device running an older iOS version. The reverse works, but in your case to use your backup, you must update to iOS 7.0.3 - no other option if you want to use that backup.

Anyways when I go to it theres a drop-down list and you select the one you want and I know the number next to it identifies the model but the thing is they don't have my model listed so my main question is, what version eg. 2.1.1. or 2.2.1 etc. etc. etc. etc. will work with my model of ipod touch which is the 2g Model A1288?

Delete the files from iTunes. Go to the iTunes Store. Look to the right side of the iTunes Store window for the Purchased function. You can find all of your past purchases there.

And check your Applications folder for the app.

Try this from MacFixIt as well:
In the case of drive directory damage or problems with permissions, the solution is usually to use Apple's Disk Utility to repair the disk. Of course, you won't be able to perform this operation normally (simply launching the Disk Utility application, located in Applications/Utilities, and initiating a disk repair) if your system will not startup. So two options exist:
* Insert your Mac OS X 10.4.x (Tiger) media (DVD or CD) and restart the computer while holding down the "C" key. Once the computer has booted from the installation disc, select "Utilities" from the menubar and open Disk Utility. Repair the disk, then quit Disk Utility and restart your system.
* Alternatively, you can repair the disk while booted in single user mode if you do not have access to a retail Mac OS X 10.4.x (Tiger) DVD/CD. To startup in single user mode, hold down the "Command" and "S" keys simultaneously at startup. Once properly booted, type the command fsck at the prompt. Repeat these process until no errors appear.

Error 11 is a strange one...if you search the discussions for error 11 you will get a number of hits but none with a real resolution other than getting the iPod to restore, which you have done. And one person indicates this does not appear in the support data base...already found that out.
If you have restored, have a backup and can restore from that, you might try the update again, or wait for the next update whenever that comes out.
Not a very satisfactory answer but if it is working again...

Right after that, the iPod shut down completely and now it's on recovery mode. I plugged it in and it said that I had to restore it and update it so I could use it again but it doesn't let me. Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the items that are not downloading properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the items, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" links next to the items.

I traied to remove cookies and still don't working.

Regretably, none of the above solutions has resolved this problem for me.
Whenever I try to perform updates (in my case, Xcode and iPhoto both want to update), I receive the following error:
An error occurred during purchase.
(of course, I am not trying to purchase anything, it is a free update)
If I press Retry, the above repeats until I press Cancel, then I see:

I have been "trying again later" for three weeks now, with no resolution in sight.
