I have downloaded OSX v10.7 lion and i still can't get it to work I need help!!!
I have downloaded OSX v.10.7 Lion 3 times...I have gone through all the steps downloaded installed everything and re started my computer and each time it does nothing! I am sick of this and really starting to hate my brand new " MacBookPro"....My family has been switching to apple but I am going to tell them not to if I have to deal with this every single time..this is RIDICULOUS!!! Isn't the point of apple to have Lion?---so ANNOYING PLEASE HELP!!!!
If its brand new it should have come with Lion already installed. Up the top menu click on the Apple symbol on the left and see what system it is running, eg. 10.6.8. 10.7.3. etc.

You need camera raw 8.4 for your camera, if it’s Digital Rebel T5 EOS 1200D EOS Kiss X70. It is not compatible with PSE11; so it’s a bit odd if that software was bundled with the camera except that it will work with jpegs. I suggest you download and install the free Adobe DNG converter to convert your CR2 files to the Adobe universal Raw format and the DNG files will editable in PSE11(keep your originals as backups and for use in the camera manufactures software)

hello, all of a sudden without apparent reason I can't get "MAIL" to function. It starts up but I get the color wheel turning like crazy and never ends. I've tried restarting and I still can't get it to work. PLEASE HEEELP!?
In the Desktop Manager > Sync > Configuration, make sure the calendar options are set to override Outlook.
Set it also to notify you of the changes, so you will have to approve any changes.

Try reset all settings
Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings
Note: Data will not be affected but settings will be reset. -
I have downloaded a Christmas screensaver and now cannot get it to the screensaver section. I have it on the downloads but now under preference the desktop will come up but not the screensaver says some kind of error , says it quit unexpectedly may be the flash player. I have IMAC desktop 10.5.8 OSX and not to computer smart. Can anyone help? Thank you so much

G4 has blue screen and I still can't get it to login...HELP!
I went to the store and when I returned I had a blue screen with my mouse pointer that could move. I read tons of post on here and tried everything such as resetting PRAM, bought a new battery because like threads said, I too would push the power button and it would flicker and not turn on. I would have to unplug the power cord just to be able to get another try. If I didn't, nothing happened. So then I borrowed my Aunt's Leopard CD she had from her iMac and tried booting off it (holding down the C button) and nothing. I get a message stating that I can't boot off of that disc? After letting it sit for a few hours I was finally able to get past the blue screen and access Disk Utility. I tried repairing the disc (i have 3 plus the backup drive) and I get past that. I then select Verify Disk Permissions and get a "FIRST AID FAILED" Message saying Disk Utility stopped repairing permissions on "HD" because the following error was encountered. The underlying task reported failure on exit. So then I run across a thread saying that it could possibly be a admin user or password problem. I remember just before the blue screen that I was indeed researching on how to lock a folder on my desktop as well as my back up drive. So I followed the instructions and powered it on while holding the apple key + S key and typed in mount -uw /

shutdown -h now
Now when I turn it on it starts up just like its brand new. However, I can't get past the part where it ask if I want to transfer information from another computer or Hard Drive or do it later with Migration Assistant. I have tried starting it and holding down the C key and nothing happens - I get the gray Apple screen frozen. I have held down the Option Key and restarted and selected both the HD and Start Up Disk which both have a little blue X in the corner if that helps and same results. Before trying to start up using the disc i forgot to mention I tried restarting it pulling each of the RAM drives out and putting them in different locations and that did nothing. And FINALLY! The last restart prior to posting this I have a bunch of lines across the Purple Galaxy Screen that says:
System Failure: cup=0; code=00000001 (Corrupt Stack).

RAM drives? Do you mean hard drives? Do you mean RAM chips?
If hard drives, did you put them back in the same order? Multiple hard drives in one machine often need to be jumpered correctly when you move them about.
If chips... It's too difficult at this stage to tell if it is hardware or software. If hardware it could be chips, and that error at the end had a vague chip ring to it. One way to test for chips if you have extra chips is to pull all but the minimum required to boot and see if it boots.
You mention a backup drive. This wouldn't happen to have a clone of the operating system on it would it?

From all you've said it could be hardware or software. Blue screen could be software but failing hardware can corrupt a drive, messing up the software.
Boot discs. It sounds like you have no boot discs (CD. DVD) for this computer, right?

I have done the following:
1. Turned it on. Workes fine, screen comes up, programs appear to load normally.
2. Can drag the pointer on the glass touch pad, but cannot click at all. So cannot select ANYTHING. Not ANYTHING. The only thing I can do is turn the power button off and on.
Things I have tried: Plugging an external mouse in. Display response: does not recognize the keyboard, however the pointer does move with it. However, still, cannot select or accomplish anything with Enter.
Please help! There definitily is a click when I touch the mouse button below the glass, but maybe it's the battery? I don't know. Please advise. I have the set up discs but without being able to click select, I can't reinstall.Can you play the song in iTunes?
If you can't the song file is probably corrupt and needs to be replaced. -

I upgraded my 2007 iMac (20") to Maverick. Should never have done this! Lost mail, lost my mail archive, lost numerous programs/applications, lost all my installed hardware, spend 4 days on getting it running again with the (supreme) help of Apple Care. However it should not have happened at all!
iMac Computers with less than 4Gb of internal memory (as explained by Apple Care), or less than (estimated) 150Gb of free disc-space should not upgrade! Simple as that and the App Store should warn you about that and not simply let you pick up your free copy of Maverick! -
I started with a brand new iPhoto Library and I still can't get it to work.

Eventually I simply resigned myself to not being able to use iPhoto and started using a program called Lyn. (http://www.lynapp.com/index.html)
The only problems are that now there is no way to synch photos with my iPhone and now I have no way to use iCloud.
So I decided to create a brand new iPhoto library on my laptop and use it *only* for (a) dealing with iCloud and (b) managing the (copies of) photos I want to synch to my iPhone.
I opened iPhoto and created a brand new iPhoto library. This new library is completely empty.
As soon as I connected my iCloud account, iPhoto started using 250% of my MacBook Air processor, 99.9% of its RAM, and absolutely punishing the laptop fan. My entire computer basically becomes unusable; and remember -- this is a completely empty library.
Also fun: iPhoto was downloading every photo from my iCloud account to my laptop.
Am I the only one suffering like this?
Does anyone have an alternate way to synch photos between iPhone and computer?Does Lyn put the image files in a special package or just accesses them in their folders on the hard drive?
You can sync photos to your iPhone using iTunes. Put copies of the photos you want on the iPhone in a folder on the hard drive and select it in iTunes to sync with the phone.
The screenshot shows syncing from a folder named NanoPics.

hello I'm experiencing some problems with my iMessage and face time. I did with Apple provided me online. I did the steps. Nothing will work, it keeps saying activation turn on Wi-Fi when my Wi-Fi is turned on. As soon as I got this on Christmas. iMessage and FaceTime have not been working. My Apple and ID password are correct. Everything else is working fine. My iOS updates are up to date, everything is fine except FaceTime and iMessage

Lightroom doesn't use the Camera Raw plug-in. All of the Camera Raw technology is part of the Lightroom program. You will either have to upgrade to Lightroom 5 or use the DNG converter to create digital negative copies that can be used with Lightroom 4.
