Looks as if you're just at the minimum specs - http://www.apple.com/logicpro/specs/. Says 2GB minimum, 4GB recommended. And 2GB of RAM is all the RAM the 1,1 can handle. If I were you I would call Apple's App Store service center - you have the minimum requirements, as I read it, but perhaps you need a faster processor?
I had a 1,1 but sold it when I bought my late 2011 in March of this year - maybe it's time to look at a new machine?

Run Disk Utility.
Select the Mac Partition on that drive (Macintosh HD or whatever you called it)
Click (Repair Disk)
Repeat until it comes clean or gets stuck.

Sorry no Apple will not replace it. What happened was an accident and the Apple warranty does not cover accidental damages.
So it looks like you will need to buy a new computer or pay to have your Mac fixed.

I have a mac air and an iMac and both have Pages. I use Pages on my air and save all documents to iCloud. I can see them on my iMac but it won't open with Pages. It becomes visible if I change it to open with preview but I can't interact with it.

I can see the documents on my iMac but some won't open in pages which is bizarre? They will open if I change it to open with preview but then all I can do is read it - I can't add to the document - All I want is to be able to see all my documents on all my devices and to be able to have them sync so I can add to the documents from any of my devices. I also have an iPhone 6 and an iPadair2 but I would be happy just to have the iMac and macair sync for starters. I have folders within folders in my documents,. The folders which contain pdf's and individual files open OK . The one I am having difficulty with is the file which I use for ongoing correspondence - in other words it is quite long - I keep adding to it ( by copying letters in and letters out so I can see a sequential history of what has been going on by scrolling down ) in date order so that it could be 1 - 100 pages long - but I don't think the size is a problem. I don't understand why some folders can open and others not . Has anyone any suggestions please. I have been trying to get this to work for months since iCloud drive came in. It has got much better but it is still not good enough - or maybe it's me?

All I can suggest is that you open that file on the MBA and save it as a new file, then see if you can open the new one on the iMac.

Why won't OS X Mavericks install after downloading on my late 2009 model of Mac book pro?

hi have a problem with my Mac book pro getting stuck on the screen with the apple logo and turning wheel below it. So far I have booted it on repair mode by pressing command and r, then I erased my hard drive clean so I can just reinstall os x Mavericks. I then went to reinstall OS x, followed instructions to download it but after its finished it just goes back to the same menu, Instead of restarting and installing. Anyone please help!! Thank you.

Why won't new version 4.0 open on my desktop while version3.6.17 works fine. When I check the processes running on the computer the firefox is running but it won't open on the desktop(monitor)

When I updated firefox from version 3.6.16 to 4.0 the program would not open on the desktop after I double-clicked the short cut on the desk top. I checked the processes running on the computer and it showed firefox running. I followed the short cut to its file and clicked on the executable file with the same result(it won't open). I went back to the previous version and it works fine. What could be the problem?

Have you tried starting Firefox in Safe Mode? Hold down "shift" while Firefox is starting up. If the crash doesn't happen in Safe Mode, you should read [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]].
There is also a lot of useful stuff in the [[Firefox crashes]] Knowledge Base article.

You can kill the process manually by right clicking in the task bar (next to the time and date) and opening the task manager.

How can you import pictures from the iphoto app to your mac book pro into iphoto on a mac book pro using mavericks?

I've tried to look this up on the app, and it tells me to use the iTunes file sharing and I can see anything with this trying to use both. I'm trying to keep my pictures in chronological order. Does in know how I can use this? Any help I would greatly appreciate. Thank you!

OK. This is two separate issues. To import pictures on your iPhone into your MBP, you can use iPhoto or the Image Capture app (in the Applications folder).
To use iPhoto, connect your iPhone to your Mac with its USB cable & launch iPhoto. Your iPhone will be listed it in the "Devices" panel on the left. Choose it & you will get a window where you can import all or selected photos as either "split events" or as a single event. If you need help with this, try opening iPhoto's built-in help & selecting the "Import Photos" item. That will open the Import photos from iPhone or other mobile phone help topic. Expand the Import photos from iPhone section & study it. It should answer all your questions about this better than I can!
To use the Image Capture app, you connect the iPhone & select it just like above. The app has several options for importing images, but what you may find useful if you do not want to import directly into iPhoto is that you can just drag any of the iPhone's displayed items onto the desktop or into a folder like you would any other file & they will be copied to that location.
As for organization of items in iPhoto, there are four ways they can be grouped for display (by event, by photo, by face, & by place). All except by faces offers a "By date" sort choice in the iPhoto View > Sort Photos menu item.

That is probably a lot of stuff you do not want on your iPhone. So this can be handled a few different was. For you current situation, you can delete the apps directly on your iPhone by holding on the app until it starts to jiggle and then tap on the X of all the apps that you do not want. The second thing you can do is before you sync with iTunes, look at the app section on your iPhone to know what gets transfer to it and you can deselect items that you do not want. Lastly, if you download content on your iPad and it is a universal app, you can actually download it directly to your iPhone by looking at your past purchases and download it directly from the App Store. Mac book pro won't turn on mavericks

I successfully upgraded to Mavericks 2 weeks ago and have been having sporadic problems.
Today my Mac Book Pro 15" 2012 edition (not retina) turned off while I was using it and will not turn back on.
Anyone have a similiar problem?

It sounds like you have been using OS X 10.9 for a bit and suddenly in the middle of using it, the computer shut down will not turn back on. I was researching what could be causing this to happen and found this article that should help you troubleshoot the issue named:

Mac Book Pro freezing or crashing issue & warranty.

I realized a lot of people have been experiencing operating system freezing issue in Mac Book pro. Sometimes, it won't even boot and even if it boot, I can't watch movie online or even listen listen to music. It crash instantly.
I sent my Mac Book to the computer service for indentify the problem. They couldn't find the problem and told me that it might be a hard ware problem. They told me to sent it to apple store since I have warrenty.
I have a one year warrenty for the Macbook and it still vaild. However, there're only reseller stores in my town. Can you tell how can I sent my mac book ?
