I have dropped my ipad but it has a case on it but its just black the screen how can i fix it?

i have dropped my ipad but it has a case on and when i pick it up i pressed the home screen and it was just black i have a password on it tho and when i put it on charge t mak that charging noise can you help me fix it

Did you try a reset yet?
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
If that doesn't revive the iPad, you could try restoring the device next.

I typically don't like to recommend something like this, but I have read on these forums where some users state that smacking the iPad on the back can jog the screen into working again. The fall seems to have caused the problem and I imagine that the logic behind this suggestion is that if the impact caused the problem, another impact could help to fix it. I m just not a big believer in smacking expensive tech devices.

If a reset or restore of the device does not resolve the issue, your iPod likely needs servicing as the LCD screen may be damaged.

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If problem what happens or does not happen and when in the instructions? When you successfully get the iPod in recovery mode and connect to computer iTunes should say it found an iPod in recovery mode.

The apple ID was his personal account and can no longer gain access. Im sure I can get purchase recipts from the accounting department if needed. I tried to put the Ipad in restore mode and used itunes to "recover" the ipad but it still wont let me in because he registered the device with the "lost iphone" feature or whatever that is.

try to exit out of the youtube app with the multitasking feature. if this doesnt work then try to do a manual restart by holding down the home and power/sleep button all the way past the "slide to unlock" screen until the ipod will power off and the apple symbol will appear when the ipod tuens back on

Check the songs are really not in the Music section of the library by clicking the magnifying glass in the search box and unticking Search Entire Library if it is ticked, then typing in the name of the album. If the tracks still don't show try closing iTunes and deleting a hidden file called sentinel from inside your iTunes folder. This should make iTunes run an integrity check on the database when you start it again. Make sure the tracks are checked before you try syncing again.
