I have elements 11 and I did the 30 day trial of elements 12. When the trial expired it caused problems with my elements 11. Nothing opens correctly, some not at all and I can't get help?

Please help me. I am so disappointed in Adobe. I was planning on upgrading to 12 after the trial period but was unsure still. The problem I am having now is that my PSE 11 Organizer is off the grid. When I right click on a file and go to "open With", it only offers me the option to use Premiere Elements and not Photoshop. I found the .exe@ file for Photoshop Elements 11 and created a shortcut to my task bar in order to get to it. That won't work on my organizer though. Should I just uninstall and reinstall the whole thing? I'm on Windows 8.1. I refuse to upgrade to 12 after being refused any support considering it was the trial they encouraged me to try that caused my problem.If I have to reinstall everything with it impact the projects I've created?

What computer operating system is involved in the Premiere Elements 11 and 13 issues? Same computer or different ones? Are you installing from purchased download installation files or from purchased installation disc? Does Premiere Elements 11 work completely on this computer whereas 13 will not?
Let us go through the typical drill so as to take nothing for granted.
1. Does the problem exist with or without the antivirus and firewall(s) disabled? Are you working with an individual home computer or in a
school or company network?
2. Are you running the program as Administrator and is there any "domain" account involved?
3. Is your video card/graphics card up to date according to the web site of the manufacturer of the card?
4. Do you have the latest version of QuickTime installed on the computer with Premiere Elements?
Let us start by ruling in or out any of the above, and then we can decide what next.
Any questions or need clarification, please do not hesitate to ask.

My system strated having download faults, so like a good boy I reinstalled the software, installed the drivers, went into recuse mode. Now here I am three days later, still in rescue mode and I cna't even trun the thing off. The support by e-mail only told me what I had already doen to no avail. So I called the phone helpline (God only knows how much that cost me!) and they ran thru a couple of things and said there is no reason why is shoudln't work! HELLO-IT ISN'T WORKING!
Please help, I am about to trow the towel in on the peice of kit.

I'm afraid you're going to have to be a little more specific. Is it that the unit doesn't turn off, when you hold down the power button? Or that it won't go out of Rescue Mode? What options have you tried in Rescue Mode?

Itunes crashed during backup and I can't get help from apple support on the

Stupid Itunes crashed on disk 41 of 46 when backing up.
There is no help available on the apple website and no way to request help on the apple website for any issue with Itunes.

How do I tell Itunes which disks it backup up so it won't try backing them up all over again. Did it destroy a list of what was backed up? What's going on with itunes anyways? Does it always crash when it backs up this many cds? I don't want to start all over again and ruin another 41 CDR disks trying to back it up. How do I get it to continue from where it crashed or do whatever has to be done to get it to resume where it crashed during backup?
Stupid program wouldn't let me do anything after it crashed. said it will take a minute or two (more like forever) to cancel backup. Don't even know why it was trying to cancel the backup. I didn't tell it to.

Apparently there are some bugs in the latest itunes. DO NOT USE ITUNES TO BACKUP YOUR LIBRARY! UNLESS IT COMPLETES THE BACKUP, ITUNES IS NOT SMART ENOUGH TO FIGURE OUT WHICH FILES WERE BACKED UP. TECH SUPPORT DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO MAKE ITUNES KNOW WHAT FILES WERE BACKED UP SO IT CAN CONTINUE FROM WHERE IT LEFT OFF. AFTER 41 CDS WORTH OF BACKUPS, ITUNES CRASHED AND IT TRIED TO CANCEL THE BACKUP BUT NEVER FINISHED DOING THAT.
SO AFTER 60 CDS WORTH AND ABOUT 6 HOURS OF WASTED TIME, THE ONLY WAY IS TO BACKUP THE ENTIRE LIBRARY ALL OVER AGAIN WHICH IS A TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY, TIME, AND CDS WITH NO GUARANTEE THAT IT WILL WORK ANY BETTER THE SECOND TIME AROUND.
EVEN TRYING TO RESTORE FROM CDS DOESN'T TELL ITUNES TO UPDATE ITS LIST OF BACKED UP FILES. I'M SURPRISED THAT SUCH A BIG BLUNDER WITH ITUNES HAS GONE UNNOTICED.

Hey all. I just figured this out on my own as no one at Adobe will release a playbook that gives proper instructions on this issue. If you are having issues with the application not installing all of the way, you have a permission issue on the the partition where your Yosemite OS is installed. Here is how you fix the issue that you are experiencing:
Open Disk Utility (press Command and the Space Bar, then type disk utility)
Locate your disk and the partition where your OS installed.
Select First Aid (in the right pane next to Erase and Restore)
Locate the button "Verify Disk Permissions" and click on it.
Wait, get some coffee and relax, this will all be over soon
When Verify Disk Permissions is complete, click on the button "Repair Disk Permissions"
Now grab breakfast, lunch or dinner and tell someone you love that you love them.
After your disk permissions have been repaired, close out Disk Utility
Open the FlashPlayer installation file and run the installation again.
Finally, whew... Enjoy your entertainment fare. You made it across the schism that Adobe loves to plague their loyal patrons with.
I hope this helps someone. Let me know if it worked or didn't; I am curious if you all will see the same success that I have realized.

This works for most people and is the advice I usually give to Mac users that are having mysterious installer failures. We have enough of a population that everything that can go wrong will. Disk corruption is one of those inevitable things that happens, and it causes mysterious problems. The installer isn't doing anything complex -- it's basically a glorified unzip tool, so when simple operations like "write a couple files" fail, it's typically that we're making a completely standard call the operating system that should never fail, and it's failing -- either silently or with an error, just depending on what's going on.
For what it's worth, I actually correctly diagnosed a broken pin on a monitor cable today based on the description some funky intermittent video playback behavior, so we really *do* see everything on these forums.

Couldn't enter my order, failed even with assistance, bundle expired and still can't get help!

Tried to order upgraded service on line at least 5 times over a 4 hour period but could not get my order placed. The chat people could not help getting the order to place. Called the business office people to attempt to get my order in but was on hold over 25 minutes and while on hold the bundle expired and was no longer available.
I was told to record my chat ID# and contact support today but no one can get me to anyone who can help. Does anyone know how to get to the right people?

Never heard back so I called the business office today and explained my difficulties in attempting to place my order before the bundle deadline expired. The business office didn't have the same package as the on line offer but they customized and met the offer by providing a monthly credit against their package to meet the on line bundle price. The only issue is that I have to pay the taxes on the package at the full rate before the additional monthly credit.
Its not right as we pay too much in taxes as it is in general (Not the fault of Verizon) but I can live with the resolution.

Mystery .dll in the "Apple Computer" folder causing problems with Windows 7 startup

When Windows 7 starts up on my Dell laptop, I receive the error message: The module "C:\Users\...\AppData\Local\Apple Computer\kfsunszl.dll" failed to load.
I cannot determine what specific Apple software the .dll file works with. I only have Itunes, Quicktime and iphone related updaters. Uploading the newest software didn't help. I have gone as far as uninstalling all Apple software from my computer, and I still receive the error. I then reinstalled everything...still getting the error. Could this be some kind of malware? I'd love some advice. Thanks!

I have been delving into Windows 7, trying to nail an audio problem, have been running various incarnations of 7 on two machines here, and have now some experience of friends who have moved to 7.
For most of what they do, it is fine, and here it is fine for 'normal' computing use. But it acts differently for audio on my two machines with the same external audio interfaces. I have managed to work around problems on both, but on both I have to switch off some networking to make them reliable.
Both machines are rock solid on XP and even on 32-bit Vista.
I appreciate that many people are very successfully using Windows 7 for audio, and I'd have thought that the spec of yours should be good enough, although for 7 I'd prefer a little more memory. But the fact is that I can't do any better audio work on 7 than I could on XP, so why add a load of extra hassle.
One thing that does really worry me is that I've been, as I say, delving into the inner workings of 7 and have been asking questions on Microsoft's technical forums. Some of the answers about audio from Microsoft staff and MVP's have been very depressing to the extent that I worry about Microsoft's in-depth testing.
For glitch testing I use a standard banal piece of music that has a rock solid beat to it with plenty of 'air' around it. Just listening, recording, lining up multiple instances and editing with that sort of source material makes it easy to hear and demonstrate drop outs and similar problems.

Verizon is the 4.3 update causing problems with my phone because my phone is having problems

I have been having multiple problems with my GS3 since the 4.3 update including wifi connection issues dropped and frozen calls frequent unmounting of my sd card bluetooth problems to site the worst. I have updated and reset my router checked and reset my phone settings multiple times taken my baterry out of my phone 2 a day on average turned my phone off multiple times a day to reset it. I am now wondering what will fix all these problems because nothing i have read from your forums has done anything, how much longer do i have to pay full monthly prices for services i can no longer full monthly access?

Your phone is a mini computer, no matter what os it runs.
Software updates from various developers , patch and patch again. Adding to the original App software already on your device. Not only do updates apps take up more room on your device with each update, but imperfect updates and the communication with other services on your phone lead to many software "glitches".   When there are major software errors, the best remedy is to clean it out and start it fresh.
It is recommended for Apple devices suffering from battery life problems, app crashes, lack of device storage and other issues after the iOS 7 update.
Android devices are no different.
It is drastic, but sometimes unavoidable.   Don't forget to back up any information that is unique to the device.

I see this a lot in CS4 and Mac. It means something damaged the License verification. Usually a move from another Mac or from Time Machine.
Two choices: Reinstall using your discs and your serial number. The easiest choice.
Or try the 150:30 fix using Terminal and the License Recovery scripts. 150:30 Start with post 11.
I would not recommend it if you have never worked with Terminal scripts.
It would be the last resort if you lost your serial number.
