I have Elements 9 Windows. When I try and "get Media" I get an error message "encountered a problem needs to close"> How do I fix?

What version of Photoshop Elements? Include the minor version number (e.g., Photoshop Elements 9 with the 9.0.3 update).
Have you installed the recent updates? (If not, you should. They fix a lot of problems.)
What operating system? This should include specific minor version numbers, like "Mac OSX v10.6.8"---not just "Mac".
What kind(s) of image file(s)? When talking about camera raw files, include the model of camera.
If you are getting error message(s), what is the full text of the error message(s)?
What were you doing when the problem occurred?What other software are you running?
Tell us about your computer hardware. How much RAM is installed? How much free space is on your system (C:) drive?
Has this ever worked before? If so, do you recall any changes you made to PSE, such as adding Plug-ins, brushes, etc.? Did you make any changes to your system, such as updating hardware, printers or drivers; or installing/uninstalling any programs?

Did you try it with the iTunes your Mac already has?
Try running Software Update in your System Preferences. That should bring your computer up to the latest software available for 10.4. You would end up with an older version of iTunes, but that may be good enough to activate your iPad.

When I try to update my iphone software an error message pops up at the end

You'll need to update to at least ACR 8.2 for the 70D to be recognized. The normal way to update PSE12 to the latest CR is to use Help / Updates in the Editor which should update to ACR 8.5.
According to Adobe's website PSE12 shipped with ACR 8.1 and you say it says yours is reported as ACR 8.0.
Are you using PSE 11 and not 12? PSE 11's maximum ACR version is 8.0.

Go to Start and right click on Computer, choose properties, this will help you determine whether your system is 32 bit or 64 bit.

Why when I try to sync my iPod does the error message come up that it can't be backed up to my computer???!

I'm having issues syncing my iPod today! I sync once a week, I've got the latest version of iTunes, but today it tells me that it won't back up to my computer, WHY? I dislike technology on occasions... I shut down iTunes, plugged my iPad back in & NOW it decides to sync!!! No error messages...and then it syncs my iPod with no problems as well!!! (2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. Uninstall/Reinstall iTunes then try to rebuild the library.
