I have exhausted my resources and patience

I have been fighting with India trying to get my leptop fixed.  My envy dv6 is still under warrentee and then sent a tech to my house.  I had to pay extra.  That was fine because I am taking a course that has the text book and the assignments on the computer.  The computer tech  shows up to my house.  She forgot her tool kit.  She forgot her reading glasses.  She tells me she should have turned down the job because she hates working on laptops.  She removes the old keyboard to replace it with the new one they shipped.  Sits there messing with it for over and hour.  Hands the laptop back to me and tells me that she cant fix it cause she dropped a small part down into the bottom of the lap top.
She leaves my house and I call the company.  That was just the beginning of my difficulties.   I talked to a tech support specialist and I explained the situation.  She said she would schedule a tech to come out to my house the next week.  I told her I couldnt afford to take another day off work for another tech to come.  She asked me if I am home in the evening, I told her no, that I go to night classes.  So, she talks to her supervisor and she tells me that a tech will be authorized to go to my house on Saturday.  I ask her what time and she tells me in the afternoon.  So, I sat and waited for someone to show.  At 4 oclock I called them back.  I talked to another person from tech supp and they tell me that they dont have people that go out on saturdays.  So, I ask to talk to a supervisor.  He tells me that there is someone scheduled, but not til 9:50 p.m.. (now okay this seems a little fishy to me) he asks if I still want someone to come to my house.  I say yes.  I have to have a laptop.  So, he says fine.  Guess what NO TECH SHOWS UP.
So on sunday I call back.  I explain the whole situation.  They assure me they will take care of it.  They ask me when I will be home for a tech to come to my house.  I explain about working full time and night courses.  They tell me that they can send a tech on Saturday.  sigh....  So, I agree.  In addition I call back on Monday to confirm.  Yes, they tell me.  there will be a tech at my house saturday sometime between 8 - 12 .
I wake up this am.  call hp new delhi to make sure someone is still coming to my house and they tell me.  No, the part that was dropped down into my computer cant be shipped.  **bleep**!!!!  I have to ship my laptop in.  Now, I have been a loyal customer of hp for a long time.  This is my 5th hp computer.  2 desk tops and 3 notebooks.  I cant even tell you the number of printers I have had from them.  If this is the service I am going to receive in the future.  I just wont buy any more from you.  EVER.  Because in the end that is the only way I have to show you my feelings.  The only thing you will listen to.  Because up to now you havent listened to a word I have said.

    It will be more specific if you could share the screenshot of that error with us.
    In addition, if this issue is mainly related to the BackGroundimage property, you could consider using the following suggestion.
    We could click our project to expand the nodes and click "InitializeComponent()" to navigate to its desiginer code.
    Then check whether there is a line which has " Me.BackgroundImage =", remove that line and then remove the resource file with the following step.
    Project property->Resources->Switch "Files" or "Images" to see where you have setted for that image file, find it and remove it.
    Then save all your changes to see whether it's OK.

    Yes but it might be too slow for some purposes.  Google for the instructions for setting upu your win 7 comnputer as a wifi hotspot.  I Googled for:
    windows 7 as wifi hotspot
    and go many hits that look good.

    Resets are not a solution.  Have you done any actual trouble shooting?  What is the actual symptom you are experiencing?  If you are using WiFi have you tried directly connecting it using a wired connection.

    What turns the trial into the live software is signing in. If you sign in with the Adobe ID that has the subscription, the trial becomes live. First check your account on Adobe.com to make sure that the subscription is live.

    MMS will be available for the 3G and 3GS in two weeks - on Friday, September 25th - likely with a carrier update made available via iTunes.
    In the interim - for the next two weeks, ask the sender of an MMS to address the MMS to an email address that you access with the iPhone's Mail client - the sender will enter your email address in the To: field for the MMS instead of your cell phone number with area code. The MMS will be received by you as an email with the photo as an attachment. This will give you the sender's cell phone MMS email address. Add this email address to the contact's info in your iPhone's address book. If you want to send an email with a photo attached as an MMS to this person, address the email to their cell phone MMS email address. The email with the photo attached will be received as an MMS.
    This will be required for another two weeks.

    I was wondering, now that I discovered the advantages of Resource Manger, if it would be possible to have 2 shared resources, one local with common topics and pictures for several projects, and another one, remote, containing the whole projects, i.e. topics and pictures, for collaboration purposes.
    The local one I intend to use it for my purposes to have common items (topics & pictures) updated in all projects where they appear, and the remote one I intend to use it together with my remote colleagues that might want to do changes in the topics.
    This would mean that the common topics and pictures would be present in both resources, the local one as well as the remote one.

    I was merely wondering if it would be possible w/o having to use other products outside RoboHelp.
    We are already using svn for a lot of other purposes and we are using that for the RoboHelp projects as well, however I was wondering if it would not be possible to have RoboHelp take care of the RoboHelp projects, and with svn to take care of the other things in the company.
    Eventually, if it would be possible, I would think to sync all the local projects with the remote projects, then sync the local project with the local shared resources, and at the end sync the rest of the projects with the local shared resources.

  • I have a gen3 iPod touch.  It shows the battery charging when I plug into my PC, but will not show as an extra drive in "my computer" and won't show up in iTunes either.  Can anyone help please?  I have exhausted all "help" options.

    I am trying to get my iPod touch (3rd gen), to show up in "My Computer" and in iTunes.  I am using a usb cable and it is connecting okay, because the battery is charging.  It won't show up as an external drive on my computer, and nothing in iTunes either.  I have used the exact same usb cable and plugged into the exact same usb port with a different iPod touch without having this problem.  I have swapped them back and forth and it seems to be a problem with this particular iPod, because the other shows up just fine.  I have already downloaded and installed the latest iTunes update, and I already restarted the computer afterwards.  The other iPod is a 4th gen touch, but that really shouldn't matter.  I would greatly appreciate anyone's help on this matter.  I know that I can't be the first person that this has happened to.  Thanks.

    Dude you have a jailbroken phone as stated in your first post, no need to do a second post.
    As per the forum term of service you can't get help here.  Use google.

    The operator will take you through some steps you may have already tried, however they need to be sure they have exhausted all usual approaches before trying to reset your account, so you should try to be helpful and show patience with the procedure.
    The operator will need to verify they are speaking to the account holder and may ask you some questions that only the account holder could know, and you will need to answer them if the process is to proceed.
    Once the operator has verified your identity they will send a message through to your device which contains an alpha numeric code, which you will need to read back to them.
    Once this has been completed they will send an email to your iCloud email address after a period of 24 hours, so you should check that mail is enabled in your devices iCloud settings.

    How do I delete an old iCloud username and password. I have neither of them anymore and cannot access icloud to change settings.
