I have feedback like the mic is too loud but adjusting does not help...how do i fix this

hp netbook...configured for skype but now the mic picks up everything and tried to adjust it but still reverbs...did a system restore and even that did not fix it...what to do, what to do???

My iPhone is giving me ****. I don't know what is wrong with it besides that it will not charge. I've been scouring the internet for the last few hours and have been trying to figure it out. I've cleaned out the charging area with a toothpick that I discovered on another board, i tried plugging it back in, it acts like it is going to "connect" but it will not charge, I get the little indicator that looks like a plugin but I still do not get any charge, i have tried two different chargers and nothing is working. If it shows up in iTunes and you can sync the phone, could be that the docking port is damaged.

Does your boss have Siri turned ON? See Settings > General > Siri.

You don't. You can't control how other computers or browsers play back the footage. The best you can do is export a master file that plays great on your computer. What youTube does with it, or how other computers play it back is out of your hands.
Just like me with broadcast TV shows. I deliver the most pristine version I can to the network. But then they convert it to a digital file that they then beam out to cable and satellite providers, who then compress it again to play on their systems. And then it arrives at grandma's house and plays on her TV. I have no control how my grandma receives the signal, nor how her TV is set up. Unless I am nice and tweak things when I go visit. But I can't do this at every house that might want to watch my show.

Likely that CD then. Check visually for damage, blemishes, etc., not that there's anything you can really do about those other than return the CD.
The drive sits there and spins because it is trying to re-read the CD. iTunes has error correction which is contributing to all this re-reading, I believe, and you may be able to disable that in preferences if you aren't picky about the result.
You can also try other rippers such as Max or XLD. I know those have configurable error correction. I like XLD but it is slightly tricky to use until you find that for some reason the author has put all settings under preferences, not just the set once and forget ones.

I have sent a file to the trash bin. When I come to empty the trash bin everything goes out except this one particular file and I get a note saying the file is 'in use' but it is not. How can I delete this file from trash?

I have tried returning the file to my documents, opening it, closing it and then sending it to trash and again I try to empty trash but the same message comes up - Q - How can I trash this file permanently?

First just try logging out and back in. Whatever is holding on to it may not be running after the logout thus freeing it so you can trash it after logging back in.

I have xml files with css. IE displays them correctly but FF 4 does not. How can I fix this?

I try to use FF for everything but this is the one thing I can't get it to do and I hate to have IE as my only choice for viewing these files correctly.
They are for school, but I would still like to use them for websites I design.

I will also try there but this isn't just a web design problem.
XML files are used a lot and when formatted with CSS or XSLT can usually be viewed like a regular web page. So if I went to a website and they were showing me this file or I upload this file I would like to be able to view it. I know I can open IE and problem solved but I don't want to use it. I thought IE was behind me because FF did everything I needed until now.

Upgraded to Firefox 5.0 and now I get a pop-up window that I have to click ok before I can start Firefox. Does anyone know how I can fix this?

I have not noticed any other problems yet.

We suspect this issue is caused by [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/flash-video-downloader-youtube/ Flash Video Downloader] , can anyone confirm this by disabling this addon and verifying if the issue still occurs?

Check the setting in System Preferences > Universal Access > Mouse & Trackpad tab > mouse options.. button > check scrolling.
If you have an older mouse with the trackball, it might just need cleaning. Turn the mouse over and rub the trackball vigorously on paper or microfiber cloth.
