I HAVE FF 3.6.21 Is FF4 a completely new install or does it install over the existing installation. Does it import settings, bookmarks, stored passwords, etc or do I have to add all that. Lastly, if I don't like FF4 can I go back to FF3 easily

Firefox 4 is no longer available. If upgrading, the only version that you can/should go to is Firefox 6.0.1, the current version. Firefox 7.0 is scheduled to be released on 09-27-2011 ('''''scheduled date is subject to change'''''). After Firefox 4.0, each upgrade replaces the prior version and the prior version is "abandoned" as far as security and stability updates are concerned.
Installing Firefox 6 will preserve your prior bookmarks, passwords, etc. You can/should make a backup of your personal information for safekeeping; what if you have a hard drive failure?

To test the new version 6.0.1 and leave your current Firefox 3.6.21 intact, you can install Firefox Portable. Firefox Portable is not produced by Mozilla (but is based on Firefox released versions) and is not supported on this site -- has its own support forum (see below). Firefox Portable installs in a separate folder on your hard drive and keeps its profile (personal information) separate so that it does not interfere with your current Firefox installation settings or personal information (bookmarks, passwords, etc.). You can also install Firefox Portable on a USB/thumb/pin/jump drive.

Sounds like you have display set to "Mirror"
Apple menu > System Preferences > Displays > Display tab > deselect mirror displays

RV042 - I have customer who upgraded to 20 meg cable internet service and can only get 10 meg thru the router.

RV042 - I have customer who upgraded to 20 meg cable internet service and can only get 10 meg thru the router. The customer had upgrade to a 20 meg cable internet service from a 10 meg service. The customer is only able to get the 20 meg service going from cable modem to PC. If he goes thru the RV042 router, he is only getting up to 10.7 down and 1.37 up. Additional steps taken….He had a Linksys SRW224P switch connected to the RV042 router and we had disconnected this switch for testing purposes. We performed the speed test again and we get the same speed results so we know the switch is not the issue.He had upgraded to firmware version 1.3.12.19 – TM Feb 13, 2009 – tested speed and no change.We accessed the web management interface and tried several modifications. This includes the following…..- We disabled the firewall – no change- We disabled SPI with is the Stateful Packet Inspection (I was thinking this one would do it) – no change in speed.- We disabled DoS (Deny of Service) – no change.- We set MTU to Manual and tested various byte increments based on MTU ping testing. – Once again, no change in speed. He is NOT using Load balancing on the routerHe has NO access rules but does have a few port forwards. Finally, with each change, he is saving the changes on the router.

You are expecting 20MB throughput on a $150 router? Well, ok, maybe.. Can you check on your router or switch if the port is set or auto negotiated to 10 or 100? That could explain 10MB limit (although technically a 10Mb port is considered 20Mb theoretical max throughput as 100Mb port is considered 200Mb per Cisco). So maybe you ended up with 10/half somehow? MTU 1500 would also be good for that connection I think and to try to get max throughput.

I've tried change varios names in each printer's settings but they still show up in eprintcenter with the model name. What can I do to change the name so I can diffentiate the two prineters?

Hi mptpro, the way to differentiate between your two printers within your ePrintCenter account is by their email address. The model name is automatically detected when you add the printer to your account and is not configurable but you can set the email address is. By giving each printer a distinctively different and meaningful email address you'll be able to differentiate between the two.
To change a printer's email address:
log in to your ePrintCenter account
click on the Printers tab
select one of the printers and you will see the current email address for that printer just above the job history table
click the Change button to the right of the address and enter the desired name in the dialog box that opens
repeat for the second printer

There is a large thread relating to Gmail, but nothing that sounds like that.
Nobody here knows what Apple is going to do.
You might try removing the Gmail account and then add it back in.

no, if iTunes can't find its drive/folder, it defaults to creating one within your Home directory's Music folder.

iTunes is not installing because its incompatible with your OS. When installing the correct version the new version will update the older version, there is no need to uninstall first.
The last version of iTunes compatible with OSX 10.4 is iTunes 9.2.1

The option to update without the computer (Over the air) was made available with iOS 5. If your iDevice is using a version of iOS lower than 5, you will need to use iTunes on your syncing computer to perform the upgrade. Use the Apple link below as a guide for the upgrade.
