I have Firefox 3.6.12. How do I alphabetize bookmarks. I go to sort, alphabetize, and then when I open bookmarks, they are not sorted, not alphabetized.

My question is the same as above. I "sort" by bookmarks in alphabetical order, then go to open all my bookmarks and they are not in alphabetical order. Some bookmarks are single; some are in folders.

At the AT&T store. Tried using iCloud but only 120 songs were transferred and when I access my iTunes account now it only shows 120 and not the 450 anymore that I purchased on my old phone. Tried to sync again from the phone to iTunes and it still not working.
I purchased everything under the same apple ID account I called apple support and spent almost 2 hours with tech support for assistance and we got disconected and they never called me back.

The instruction should read "Settings > General > Usage > Music > All Music > Swipe right to left > Delete".
But doing so may have the undesirable effect of screwing up artwork and/or playback stability (maybe this was fixed, but this method cause a lot of grief in iOS 6 and early in iOS 7).
But try this -- connect the iPad to iTunes, and if you're not in manual sync mode then enable that and apply the change. Then while connected to iTunes, navigate the contents of the iPad through iTunes and see if you can delete the albums that way.

Actually, you can have a mixture of USB2.0 and USB 3.0 devices on the 2012 Mini's. USB3.0 devices will operate at 3.0 speed and USB2.0 devices will operate at 2.0 speed. It all depends which device is plugged in first not the slowest speed device. So, if a USB3.0 device is plugged in first, it will use SuperSpeed and USB2.0 devices will use High-Speed. If a USB2.0 device is plugged in first, ALL devices (3.0 and 2.0) will operate at High-Speed (USB2.0).
In the System Information under USB there are two types of USB hubs. One is USB High-Speed Bus which will show the USB2.0 devices. Another is USB SuperSpeed Bus which shows the USB3.0 devices. You can see your devices under each Bus.

Okay. Try checking "manually manage music and videos", and then click the flippy triangle next to your device. Then select the items you want to delete and just press Delete on your keyboard.
Uncheck when you're done.

I have two podcast folders. I can't delete and redownload the old ones because they are not available any more. How can I get them into the new folder?

The problem of having 2 'Podcast' folders / menu items after adding a new podcast through clicking on a link in the browser has been addressed on the forums by instructing users to resubscribe to existing podcasts, which then appear in the new folder, and delete the old folder. This will not work for me as most of the podcasts I listen to are BBC, which vanish from the web 7 days after they were first broadcast (about which much swearing, but that's unalterable). Consequently I can't adopt this solution.
I have resubscribed to the podcasts using the link in a browser method, so that they all appear and (in theory) will download new episodes again. However, this leaves the old episodes missing. What must I do to get the episodes downloaded from the old podcasts recognised as belonging to the new subscriptions?

I found a very fast and easy solution: I selected all the podcasts in the first window, copied them using the command in the Menu>Edit (Command+C did not seem to work). I then pasted them into the new empty folder. All the podcasts already downloaded appeared. The only problem is that some podcasts did not remember which had been viewed or not, while did keep the information. I just had to re-subscribe to the ones I still wanted by clicking on button.
For some reason, the previous Podcasts folder was only recogized as a list by iTunes, this showed up when I deleted the previous folder (contextual menu). I also had to re-select which ones I wanted synced with my iPad and iPhone.
(I did make a backup of the Podcasts folder in the Finder, just in case, a bit like voodoo computing)

Hi all. My brother in-law sent us two .mkv videos and a DVD .iso he wants me to use in a video I am cutting for him. The only trouble is, I've no idea how to get them into a format PremPro can handle.
I've searched and the only solutions I have found are infinitely complicated for me. Avisynth is certainly beyond me.
Anyone know of a way to convert .mkv (info lists 942x720 H.264 4:2:0 YUV MPEG4 AVC) into something useable?

To explain more, I have a Blu-Ray I purchased and want to add the audio from my laserdisc, since the remixed audio on the disc sucks (hard). I'll also add English subtitles. To be clear, this work is for ME for my own personal use.

I have been looking for half an hour and I cannot find the bookmarks organizer. I want to delete ALL my bookmarks and I cannot do it. They are not in a folder so I cannot delete the folder. This interface is terrible.

No bookmarks menu. No relevant options on the "firefox button." No relevant context menus. Where is the bookmarks organizer? Not the toolbar on the left, I cannot use that to delete hundreds of bookmarks not in a folder.

"Bookmarks > Organize Bookmarks" has been renamed to "Show All Bookmarks" in Firefox 4 and later.

My blue indicator lights only show under finder. How do I get them to show back under Safari and iTunes when I open them?

I have tried everything to fix this. I am going to restart my computer again and see if that works this time. I have checked every post about this on Apple Support and other sites (not Apple) to no avail. If anyone out there has any idea that will work help me out.

Adding to the "any stunt you can think of" list. If you're not concerned with formatting and the documents are primarily text, open them in TextEdit. After a page or two of indecipherable code, you'll see the textual meat of the file, followed by more code. The text portion itself is often fairly readable, even if the file is damaged.

After you insert the CD but before you import it into iTunes, select all tracks and set the disc number to 1, 2, 3 ... as appropriate.

I have an application that uses ActiveX containers and today, when I opened it, they were empty.

Yesterday everything was o.k but today the containers appear empty (there must be a treeview in one container and a CWGraphControl in another). Misteriously the Run arrow isn´t broken, and the property and invoke nodes are o.k. The problem is only in the front panel.
I'm working with LabVIEW 6.0.2 on a win NT machine.

I don't have an answer but I can also confirm that 6 developers I know have seen similar behavior.
I am generating ActiveX objects through VB and inserting them into LabVIEW 6.0.2 on Windows NT. About once every couple of weeks or so, upon inserting the object into the container, the container is empty after the insertion is done.
It should be noted that the objects inserted have been used sucessfully for weeks on end without modification or incident. Also, after this problem occurs NO other ActiveX object can be inserted or even exist on the Panel of LabVIEW 6.0.2.
I have seen this bug in LabVIEW 5.1.1 and I have talked to other people at the advanced uses group meeting (LAVA) (Mt. View office - Bay area) that have experienced a very similar problem to
