I have forgotten my password for my keychain. How can I reset it?
If you don't know the keychain password, the only way to reset it is to delete the old keychain and create a new one. See the instructions in Keychain Access Help. (Keychain Access is in the Applications > Utilities folder.) The keychain is encrypted, and the contents cannot be recovered without the original password.

Email addresses into what?
Each user should have their own account and password to log in. Each is independent of the other. So for Mail each has their own Mail account if they set one up in Mail.
That's the way it should be set up. Are you using a single account and allowing multiple users to use that one single account? If so then in Mail at least you could set up individual mail accounts. But everything else in the system is shared. -

Reset Password starting from Recovery HD
Start the computer,then press and hold down command and R keys to start into recovery partition.
When you see the Apple logo, release the keys.
Wait until OS X Utilities window shows up.
Move the mouse to the menubar at the top and click "Utilities", then select "Terminal"
from the drop down.
Terminal window will appear.
Type in resetpassword and press enter on the keyboard.
Leave the Terminal window open.
Reset Password Utility window will open with Macintosh HD selected.
Select the user account from the popup menu box.
Enter a new password.
Reenter the new password for the user.
Enter a hint.
Click the "Save" button.
Click in the menubar and select Restart.
Log in.
If Keychain dialog box appears, select “Create New Keychain”. -

Where did the certificate originate? An Apple iPhone certificate? For what? For iOS development? For VPN? For accessing remote web services, on a server? This is the OS X Server 10.6 forum; are you working with certificates with that operating system, or with certificates on an iPhone?
If your OS X Server system has an expired certificate, you'll need to either purchase a new certificate, or generate a new self-signed certificate and load that via the Certificate Assistant and Server Admin tools. -

I have Macbook pro A1286 and was wondering how to connect it to the tv and have audio?
Like the title says, I have a 15 inch macbook pro A1286 (from mid 2009) and want to hook it up to a tv. I also know that my particular model of macbook pro doesn't support audio from the mini display. I know that I will need a mini display to hdmi cable or converter and a hdmi cable if I decide to go for the converter for the video. I've seen both the cord (1 side is hdmi and the other is mini display just to clarify if I'm not using the right terminology) and converter online and any comments on which is better/preferred would be helpful. What kind of cable do I need to get sound to play through the tv? If you could suggest brands (unless all of them are about the same), I would be very grateful. It would be nice to know if the cords have to be specifically from apple just so I don't buy the wrong thing. If there's an easier way (less cords) to do this than hdmi feel free to say something Thanks for the help, I really appreciate it and am eternally grateful.

Im planning on taking out the optical drive on my mid 2012 Macbook Pro and putting in an SSD instead so i can boot OS X and my applications from it. Im just wondering how do i get it to boot the OS from the new drive, also will it install Yosemite on the SSD and will any of my data on the HDD be deleted?

Was wondering how well does the 1Ghz titanium runs Leopard?

I mean the minimum for leopard is 800mhz ... but how well does it actually run? is it worth purchasing leopard if you have 1Ghz?

ChrisHi, Nomad.c. How fast any OS runs on any computer is a lot more than you could reasonably expect to learn from any YouTube video.
We've seen posts here from people who had installed Leopard even on Tibooks that didn't meet the minimum processor-speed requirement of 867MHz (not 800MHz). They seemed to be happy with it by and large, but they may have had reasonable expectations going in. It won't be faster than what you're running now, but it will have some new features; you may or may not find them valuable. But you'd better have your Tibook's RAM maxed out at 1GB, because Leopard is much greedier for RAM than Tiger or Panther. That means if you use RAM-hungry applications on top of Leopard, you're going to make greater use of virtual memory than you have up to now, and VM is many times slower than real RAM. -
My daughter has locked her ipod touch and entered the code incorrectly a few times. Is there anyway i can reactivate it again. Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
