Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
iOS: Forgot passcode or device disabled
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

If problem what happens or does not happen and when in the instructions? When you successfully get the iPod in recovery mode and connect to computer iTunes should say it found an iPod in recovery mode.

Back it up and restore it using iTunes on the last computer it was synced with, as explained at the bottom of this article: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1212. This will remove the passcode; at the end of the restore process you will be given the option to restore to the backup you made at the beginning.

All my music was on prior to syncing. The sync deleted all my music. I can now no longer add any music. I have the "sync music" checked. Restoring factory settings did not work. Any thoughts?
When you synced with iTunes It would have tried to replace the music on the iPhone with what is on the computer. which is what happens when you sync with iTunes.
If the songs are purchased you can re-downloaded them Pretty easily. You mentioned that you still see the songs and that you could not play them. Do they have a Cloud symbol next to them? If so this means that you can download them but that they are not on the device. -
i canot sync the calendar on my ipad mini with my main imac computer. the settings on itunes say that my ipad is syncing over the air but it is not unfortunately. i cant see how to change the settings if need be. would appreciate help. thanks
i have done this on my ipad mini and my imac but they are still not syncing. my iphone 4 has the icloud symbol but it seems to be unresponsive to touch, I cannot get it to highlight or turn-on. Bit confused.

Recently I installed iTunes on my computer so that I could put music on my new iPad and it was fine, the next day when I went to put some more on it it asked me to download the newest version of iTunes and I did but since then I have been having trouble getting access to iTunes. I have my mid 2010 macbook pro. Just last night while using facebook i tried to watch a video and it won't play and it says that i need update adobe flash. But when i watch youtube videos on safari it plays perfectly fine. Is there a problem with facebook concerning adobe flash?.................please help.......i need some answers!!!

Because of forget my old password I have create a new Apple ID

You can change this from: Settings>iTunes and App Stores>Sign out and sign in with new ID, but you will have to pay again to download apps that you already have in your old account. Or leave it as it is to share purchases with your son. -
I then tried to uninstall Mozilla 4.0 and it keeps saying the same thing that I need to close firefox before I can continue, but it is closed. I have no browsers open and it still will not allow the uninstall or the install.
No iPod touch is capable of running both iOS 4.2 and 7.1.2, and you appear to have a second generation iPod touch, which can't be updated past 4.2.1.
