Forgotten Restrictions Passcode Help

You will need to restore your device as New to remove a Restrictions passcode. Go through the normal process to restore your device, but when you see the options to restore as New or from a backup, be sure to choose New.
You can restore from a backup if you have one from BEFORE you set the restrictions passcode.

Is there any way to keep the charge indicator bar onscreen in the lock screen in IOS7? And can I keep the call in progress screen up instead of going to wallpaper while a call is dialing?

IOS6 had a charge indicator bar on the lock screen that allowed me to see at a gance how much charge I had. Now it only flashes onscreen when I first connect the charger for about 1-2 seconds. I know the icon in the top right shows percentage, but it is too small to get an accurate look.
Also, when a call is in the progress of dialing my phone just shows the wall paper instead of the whole call control screen. I can hit the home button then hit the return to call bar at the top of the screen to get the control screen, but that is annoying to say the least. If I accidentally dial a number while navigating my contacts or one of the apps it takes several steps to cancell the call before completion.
I know my wallpaper may be pretty, but I don't need to see it while trying to use the phone instead of having control of the phone or seeing desired information (charge indicator).

I have a similar issue. Sound works okay but keep getting the app not optimized, you may experience a decrease in celluar strength. Verizon says it is a software issue. Apple says it is a hardware. Phone will niot synch to itunes to do any kind of reset.

You can update directly to Yosemite (for free) through the App Store (this is 10.10). Make sure your existing applications will run on this OS.
If you wish to stay at 10.8, you can order this through the online Apple Store (it's $20), and they will email you a redemption code to be used on the App Store.

Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions - Mavericks, Lion/Mountain Lion
Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. I have had the same issue which was driving me mad but think I have just found a way around it. In iOS 7 if you swipe up on the lock screen to access quick settings and go into timer then click the home button you get into the phone without calling the person back. Not a great 'fix' but hope it works for you. Come on Apple this isn't good enough, fix this bug otherwise you will lose your customers.

If you follow the steps below closely, it should not ask you for passcode.
Recovery Mode
1. Disconnect the USB cable from the device, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
2. Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.
3.While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears, release the Home button. iTunes should alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode. Click OK, and then click Restore to restore the device.
Note: Data will be lost. You may have to repeat the above many times.

If you had made a search in this forum you would have found the answer many times. You have to thoroughly delete iWork. It isn't enough to delete the parts you see in the application folder.

Sometimes, when the device is locked, I can't unlock, I can't slide my finger horizontally, just vertically. When I turn it off and on again, it backs to normality.
It appears to be "frozen", but I can turn it off.
I thought that it may be happening by low free space, but there's 'bout 3.4 GB free.
I've realized that when I use Siri and voice commands it happens more.

Basic Troubleshooting Steps when all else fails
- Quit the App by opening multi-tasking bar, and swiping the App upward to make it disappear. (For iOS 6, holding down the icon for the App for about 3-5 seconds, and then tap the red circle with the white minus sign.)
- Relaunch the App and try again.

- Reset the device. (Same article as above.)
- Reset All Settings (Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings)
- Restore from backup. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1766 (If you don't have a backup, make one now, then skip to the next step.)
- Restore as new device. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4137 For this step, do not re-download ANYTHING, and do not sign into your Apple ID.
- Test the issue after each step. If the last one does not resolve the issue, it is likely a hardware problem.

The lock screen just disappears. I have to hit the sleep/wake or home button to bring the lock screen back up so I can swipe it. Have others found this situation with the iPad Air. I have an iPad 2 and it does not happen at all. The Apple store checked it out. One rep said to me this is unusual and had a tech check it out and they said this is normal. If the iPad is suppose to be user friendly, why this extra step to get to the lock screen? Are other owners of the iPad Air having the same problem? If so, what have you done to correct it?

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) No data/files will be erased.
