I have forgotten my password on my ipod, HELP?

I have an ipod touch and an ipone 3GS so i dont use my ipod much anymore, recently i decided to start using it again but found that i've managed to forget my password, is there some way to reset it? Please help!!!

Plug your iPod into iTunes. Click on your iPod in the left panel. After you click on your iPod, scroll down and there should be a restore button. Click that and go from there. Let me know if it works. (it might take awhile for it to restore)

You can't disable FaceTime remotely. If you activated Find my iPhone in the device, go to iCloud and Find my iPhone. You can block or erase your iPod if it's connected to Wi-Fi, but you won't be able to track it

I have forgotten the password to my iPod 4th gen. I have gone through the process of trying and trying to enter it until i get to the "connect to iTunes" screen. I do this and i follow specific directions until i get to the "Restore iPod" option. This also tells me that by restoring my iPod i will erase all media and data. I really don't want to do that... Can someone help me to figure out if i can "enable"/get back onto my iPod without erasing everything?!?!?!

Unfortunately, the only way to get past a forgotten passcode, it to restore it in iTunes on your computer. There is no way to retrieve a forgotten pass lock code. Restoring it, does erase the data on it, however if you ever synced this data over to the computer, then you can always sync it back.
You will need to Restore your device from the same computer that you most recently synced to. See - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414.

The apple id login is never deleted. The emaill address itself can be disabled or not in use any longer. The apple id login will still be available to you. If you will go to the website My Apple Id
https://appleid.apple.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/MyAppleId.woa/
and use the listed apple id login that your apps are asking for to update - once you have changed the password at the lsted website you then will be able to update using the old apple id once you have logged into the device using the old apple id and password.

You do not have to restore as new. You can restore fom backup since the screen-lock passcode isnot in the backup. ALso, if iTunes asks for the passcode andyu can't enter the passcode place the iPod in recovery mode and then restore. For recovery mode:
