I have forgotten my security passwords and cant find a reset option...
Help please ...
How to reset your Apple ID security questions.
Go to appleid.apple.com, click on the blue button that says 'Manage Your Apple ID'.
Log in with your Apple ID and password. (If you have forgotten your Apple ID password, go to iforgot.apple.com first to reset your password with a password recovery email)
Go to the Password & Security section on the left side, and click on the link underneath the security questions that says 'Forgot your answers? Send reset security info email to [email]'. This will generate an automated e-mail that will allow you to reset your security questions.
If that doesn't work, or there is no rescue email link available, then click on 'Temporary Support PIN' that is in the bottom left side, and generate a 4-digit PIN for the Apple Account Security Advisor you will be contacting later.
Next, go to https://getsupport.apple.com
(If you see a message that says 'There are no products registered to this Apple ID, simply click on 'See all products and services')
Choose 'More Products & Services', then 'Apple ID'.
A new page will open.
Choose 'Other Apple ID Topics', then 'Forgotten Apple ID Security Questions'.
Click the blue 'Continue' button.
Select the contact option that suits your needs best.

I have forgotten my security question answers and would like to reset them. My reset email I no longer have because I have gotten a new email. How do I change my reset email to my new email? Some one plz help!
You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; this can be done by phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, or clicking here and picking a method, or if your country isn't listed in either article, filling out and submitting this form.
Changing the rescue email address requires supplying two of the answers. They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

I cannot remember my security questions and I am not given the option to send to an alternate email address because I didn't have one set up at the time. How can I get past this point?

Hey guys, Heres one for you tech guys. It was a false alarm on my password issue. Somehow or another i was going to discuss this issue with this or some other forum. Now ,i aint no hi-tech redneck but i aint stupid either, maybe a little dumb ,but hey. I got to the point where i had to sign in for this disscusion and i thought,CRAP, I cant sign in,i dont know my password. Mind You, I have been dealin with this for a couple of hours and i thought well, 1 more time, it might as well have been 52 times but, it went thru. I might have typed it wrong a couple of times but i typed it most everytime cuz i knew that was it and it is a perty simple password. Beats me. figure that one out. Glitch in the system maybe? Good Luck, Bobby Dawg Goin down low>
Thanks for that. Much more constructive than the last comment. It's only the restriction code I can't recall, not the access passcode. So I can currently access the device, just not age restricted content. Does that's make a difference? I also wondered if anyone knew how many attempts you get to try to get it right. Now tried 21 times and so far nothing bad has happened but I am concerned I'll eventually be completely locked out of the device. That doesn't seem in the spirit of things though. Surely it's foreseeable that a child could repeatedly try to guess the code so I can't see that it would be right to lock the device down completely in that circumstance, particularly if the access code is being typed in correctly every time.

HT5312 I have forgotten my security passwords.
I have forgotten my security passwords and when I try to change them it says to enter them but I can't enter them because I have forgotten them. Please help me.
Send them to your rescue email if it's possible, or contact the iTunes Store staff if it isn't.

I have forgotten my appleID password and the email it is linked to is deactivated, security questions aren't working. This is on my iPhone and iTunes acs so I can't sync with my new computer. How do I merge AppleID accounts and shut down the old one (when I have no password and the security questions aren't working?)
You cannot merge Apple ID accounts, that has never been supported.
You can contact the Apple ID Security folks per the listing in http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699 and they can help reset security questions and get the account working. -
i have forgotten my security answers and not receiving mails on my email id, how do i change my password?
Hello,
Your best bet and least run-around will be to contact Apple support team. They'll kindly help you change your email ID and reset your password, thereby changing your security questions as well.
The number is 1-800-275-2273

I have forgotten my security question and I have tried for to days for uses to send me the resets and the email is not coming though?
If you've been unsuccessful resetting your security questions by signing into your account at appleid.apple.com (manage my apple I'd) and the going to password and security, and have also tried contacting iTunes support and have not heard back then:
Call 1-800-APL-CARE and have the following info ready:
Your verifiable and active apple I'd username, the serial number of a device registered in your name, and some billing info currently associated with your account. -
I am very frustrated as I have forgotten my security questions and need to clear them out. I have all of my other information on the account.
If you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then go to https://appleid.apple.com/ and click 'Manage your Apple ID' on the right-hand side of that page and log into your account. Then click on 'Password and Security' on the left-hand side of that page and on the right-hand side you should see an option to send security question reset info to your rescue email address.
If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer 2 of your questions) then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset (we are fellow users here on these forums).
Contacting Apple about account security : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699
When they've been reset (and if you don't already have a rescue email address) you can then use the steps half-way down this page to add a rescue email address for potential future use : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5312 -

I have forgotten my administrator password and can't find my Mac OS X Install Dvd to reset it, what can I do?
OK, try this:
http://osxdaily.com/2010/08/10/forgot-mac-password-how-to-reset-mac-password/
Be very very careful if you decide to use Terminal. Even a small typing error can cause a disaster. And terminal commands must be typed exactly as shown, including spaces.
Good luck.
p.s. Your Apple ID and password - different from the computer log in password - are what you used to get to this discussion. -
I have forgotten my administrator password, and there are no hints. I have a Mac OS X Mavericks. When I get to the reset password screen, it has no hard drive to select. What now?
If you're using FileVault, you first have to unlock the startup volume in Disk Utility. Select it and click the Unlock button in the toolbar. Of course, this is only possible if you know another password to unlock the volume. If you don't, follow instead these instructions.
