Multiple Master Pages - how to apply to forms?

Hello!
I need to build a form with two pages, one with portrait orientation and the other one with landscape orientation.
So I created two Master Pagers, one for each, with correspondent orientations.
The first page is ok, following the portrait Master Page definitions. Now I want to apply the landscape Master Page definitions on the second page - I haven't found where to do it.
Please, where do I change this?

I'm glad to have found this thread as I have some forms which need 3 Master pages and something is wrong but I can't figure it out.
The 1st Master Page is portrait and will be used for the first two pages of content.
The 2nd Master Page is landscaped and will be used for the third page (or more) content.
The 3rd Master page has 'fixed' Revision History content and just is what it is, and is ALWAYs last on every form we do.
So I was able to get the first two content pages on the first Master page (portrait) and it looks fine.
So far, so good.
Now for the problem:
The next "content" page is landscaped, but I cannot put content on it. In fact, if I click on that page, the Master Page is highlighted.
If I delete it, the 2nd Master Page is deleted as well.
Moving on:
The next page does use the appropriate landscaped Master Page and looks good.
The final page is the Rev history page, as expected.
NOTES: on the difficult page I have tried to use the information you have here but it doesn't work as it appears to be a Master Page.
How does a master page show up in the Design View and not allow content to be placed on it? How can I remove it?

You can loop through the rows and apply the "fillColor" property for rows. Loop length is the "headerRowCount" of the table.
In the same loop you could also loop (a loop within a loop) through all cells of a row and set its "texts" obejct, which is an array, to the text style you wish. Or you could apply a paragraph style or a character style, that is pre-defined.

I have downloaded and installed oracle forms 10g and oracle database 10g express, when I open net configuration assistant to test local net service, I tested the default service (EXTPROC_CONNECTION_DATA) BUT THE RESULT IS "ora-28547 connection to server failed probable oracle net admin error"
How can I solve this issue?

I copied the contents of C:\oraclexe\app\oracle\product\10.2.0\server\NETWORK\ADMIN\tnsnames.ora and appended it to C:\DevSuiteHome\NETWORK\ADMIN\tnsnames.ora
and tried net configuration management to test local net service, the test was ok, thus the first problem resolved.
but the login problem in forms developer still exist and it claims that: ora-12154 tns could not resolve the connect identifier specified.
any ideas?

How to build a form with multiple tables in oracle application express

I have got problem in building a form with multiple tables.I have a main table with (20) columns and this main table is related to the other tables with the primary key-foreign key relation ship.My requirement is i have to build a form which has fields from many tables and all the fields are related to the main table using (ID) column.In that form if i enter ID field i have to get information from differnt tables.

I'm trying to install Oracle Forms 10g (9.0.4) Demos. Everything works fine until step 5. I can even access the forms demos home page(changing forms90 to forms). However when i try to access any link, i get the following error:
404 Not Found Resource /forms90/f90servlet not found on this server
What's wrong?. I believe forms is pointing to the wrong direction:
http://mluis:8888/forms90/f90servlet?config=reusable_picklist
For example to show the tick image on step five on install guide, I have to replace
http://mluis:8888//forms90/formsdemo/images/tick.gif
for http://mluis:8888//forms/formsdemo/images/tick.gif
This is because I don't have a forms90 directory in my Oracle_Home. I changed forms90 for forms in formsdemo.env. But still doesn't work. So my question is
- Are these forms demos built for my forms version?.
- If not, what do i have to change in order to make things work. I'm really interested in some special features like PJC, Webutil etc.
- The configuration is still pointing at a forms90 directory. I need to change it to just forms but don't know which files.

You also need to change any f90xxxxxx to frmxxxxxx
But the servlet cannot seem to find any of the demo forms.
I assume a path issue, but cannot seem to find it.

How to Apply Style to a Spry Table?

I am new to Spry. I am trying to apply some basic style(table width,row height) to a table created with a spry region.
I have tried <table width="400px"> and <table style="width:400px;"> and these didn't work. I've tried creating a class and <table class="xxxxx"> and that didn't work either. Also <tr height="12px"> as well as <tr style="height:12px;"> and <tr class="xxxx">. Am I missing something really obvious??

How to create a form based on table@databaselink

I have created a database link under OracleXe to access an Oracle 9i and it works very well. I can manually access the tables that I like to see. Want to experiment to create a form under HTMLDB based on a table from another database that I have created DataLink to. When I go choose Create Application in HMTLDB and then select Form from page type under table or view I tried to do this tablename@databaselink but it seems it can not find the table this way. Any idea how to do this?

As I am trying to test and learn more about htmldb I was trying to get some data from oracle 9i to oracleXe, create some forms, reports and etc. At first I tried to use views and forgot to add the primary key, got the error so I posted the message on the board.
Then I did try out the long way creating tables with package and procedure and some other fun stuff to create an application which by the way it worked very well. Then I created some users and changed some password. When I tried again to run the application I start getting invalid login credentials. After many attempts finally I went home, as I was driving home I thought about something and at home I tried it.
I did some testing and noticed if I create a user under admin say userA+passwordA then login with userA+passwordA, create a table and then create an app base on that table and then run the app, with userA+passwordA I can login and app works perfectly. Then I logged out and as admin logged in, changed the userA password to passwordB. I logged out and logged in with userA+passwordB and then when I tried to run the app I get the invalid login credentials, when I change the passwordB to passwordA the app will works again. This is suppose to be this way!

We would like to add a new tab on the table properties of a physical model.
Example
Explanation :
If we have a table with the following form: CREATE TABLE_1 (COL1 CHAR (10), COL2 NUMBER (6) COL3 VARCHAR2 (20));
We would like that the new tab to be similar to the one above.
This tab should have for each vertical column - the table columns names.
This tab should be displayed only if the table has a stereotype "LOV" for "List Of Values"
For each row in the screen above we will write the values of each table records.
Objective :
When we Generate Database the following SQL command must be generated : INSERT INTO TABLE_1 (COL1, COL2, COL3) VALUES ('', '', '');
We thought to add this command in the .XDB file (DBMS definition file) at table-level category => DBMS :: Script \ Objects \ Table \ Create
and using variables %TABLE% and %TABLDEFN%. But the TABLDEFN variable provides column names and types, "COL1 CHAR (10), COL2 NUMBER (6) COL3 VARCHAR2 (20)." Given that this variable is not very interesting we have achieve our goal with an extension (XEM). In fact we are able to generate an extension that will give us the following SQL command: insert into TABLE_1 (COL1, COL2, COL3) values ('', '', ''); following the creation of the CREATE TABLE statement.
To complete with value we have need our custom form tab.

To get a tab with a list, you need object to fill it. In your case, you need to define (in your xem or xdb) a new extended sub-object SAM (stereotype as metaclass) with several attributes (one per column COL1, COL2, ...) -- It could be dynamically defined but you may enter the dark side of xem enhancement -- let's start with the three extended attributes.
With the new SAM, you can create an extended composition on your table, targeting the new SAM. In the composition definition, set the columns you want to display (COL1, COL2, COL3 + whatever you want)
=> You then will have your new tab with COL1, COL2 and COL3 columns
Once done, you can enter values within your tab.
How to add it in the generation ?
In the XEM, create the statement in a template ("filldatatable") under Table metaclass that iterate on composition and use

We have a table that has 3 Columns that form the Primary Key and I would like to create a form based on that table; unfortuanately on the 'Create Form Page' there's only 2 options that identifies the first and second PK columns.
Is there a way I could add the third PK column.

It is working perfectly, but I cannot create a from using the wizzard.
It says: "Primary Key must be specified."
But there is a primary key in the source database!
