I have given up on BB & Mac

When I got my Curve last May I was told that it was 100% compatible with Macs. Wrong, wrong, wrong.
I have tried PocketMac and basically just given up. They have tried to help me and RIM has tried to help me but have been unable to fix the problem. I have given up on being able to sync contacts without duplication, but the calendar is out of control.
My biggest problem is trying to sync iCal. Here's a fun example. St. Patrick's Day is listed as an all day event on my ical. When I sync it adds it as an event that starts at 1am and goes until 1am the next day. When I sync again, it adds this new St. Patricks's Day event to my iCal. It does this every time I sync.
I now show St. Patrick's Day 87 times on March 17th.
My 8-year old Nokia flip phone can sync my calendar just fine (wirelessly no less). My BB can't, or won't.
So, I bought an iPod touch and guess what, it syncs everything just fine.
So, I will use my Curve as nothing more than a phone and use my iPod to keep up with my Address Book and calendar. I am letting go of the frustration and the wondering if they will ever get it to work with Mac. I am over it.

I'm having just the same problem. The PocketMac icon is there, the computer recognizes my phone through the USB port, and when I double-click the PocketMac icon it jumps in the tray briefly and then stops--the program never starts at all. Maybe it's some compatibility thing; Mac is always sending OS updates and might have tweaked something that disabled PM.
Missing Sync looks perfect but costs $40; Double Twist only syncs media, but my goal with the BB was to use it as a PDA, which includes being able to enter contacts and calendar items on the computer and get them over to the BB. I don't feel like I should have to buy a separate application to do what the phone is supposed to do already.

Depending on what you're asking...
There is no means to merge Apple IDs. You can change the mail address assocaited with your Apple ID, so you might switch to using and purchasing from one email address, and using the second as a backup. (There's no means to merge the purchases, and related baggage.)
While I'm guessing this was about Apple IDs, for completeness... Combining the mail messages involving multiple email addresses is separate from the Apple ID; that is usually done with some combination of notifying the senders or with the forwarding of messages from one mail server to the preferred server. Or running multiple mail accounts in parallel, depending on what you are up to.

My newest Mac just did the same "folder of death" dance. It's too late for you now, but you might consider a passport backup drive.You can get 2&3 T-bytes now fairly reasonably priced. A given with computers is they will crash, just a question of how bad and when, so you can be prepared for the next time.

CS5 for Windows can only be installed on Windows operating system.
You would need to purchase CS5 for Mac OS.
Given that CS5 is now 4 versions back, it's unlikely you'll find a copy.
You could get DW CC from the Creative Cloud which supports both Win/Mac platforms.

When exporting a group photos with their individual titles, iPhoto changes the manual sequence that I have given and imposes its own sequence (which seems to be alphabetical). The export dialogue box allows me to use my titles or to impose a numerical sequence.

What you are missing is that files have no order - you view them using a program and that program creates the order
When viewing in an iPhoto album you can sort manually and iPhoto will display the photos as you sorted them - but when you move to a different program (the finder for example) you have a totally different set of sorts available - for example in the finder the same set of files can be viewed in alpha order, in size order, in date modified order, etc - none of those are inherent in the file but are sorts set under the view menu
So to meet your requirements you must export with file attributes that allow the finder view options to present your desired view - which is what volunteers here have tried to help with - even though it really does not involve IPhoto in any way

Create an account for him. and use that.
Create a NEW account/ID for her using these instructions. Make sure you follow the instructions. Many do not and if you do not you will not get the None option. You must use an email address that you have not used with Apple before. Make sure you specify a birthdate that results in being at least 13 years old

You copy them from your old computer or your backup copy of your old computer.
The iphone is not a backup/storage device.

When you went back to the place where you purchased this phone, & asked them, what did they say?

All Photoshop versions through CS6 came with platform-specific licenses, either Windows or PC. You could get a cross-grade of platform swap at a nominal cost but not for older versions, only for whatever Photoshop versions was current at the time.
CS3 is totally out of the upgrade or cross-grade loop. You'd have to buy a new license for CS6 Mac or subscribe to Photoshop CC, as Trevor points out.
Curt Y is correct in that CS2 will not run on current Mac-Intel machines. You would need a used Mac G5 or G4 with a PowerPC (IBM) CPU, which have been obsolete since mid 2006.
Of course, you could run your Windows on your Mac if you installed and ran BootCamp or Parallells.

You may have transferred all your songs, but your iPad is seeing the library as a different entity.

My husband and I have upgraded our phones (iPhone 4s and iPhone 5) to the iPhone 5s. We have given 2 of our kids the "old" phones and want to set them up as an iPod touch. Both kids have email and need to be able to text (iMessage).

I have read multiple posts on how to do this and I am still confused.
Apple ID/ICoud:
We want to be able to monitor what they do, but do not want their devices linked to our emails/contacts/etc... Each kid has their own email account. So, from what I have read the best way to do this is to use our family Apple ID, but set them up with a separate iCloud account? Is this correct?
Reset/Restore/DFU:
To start fresh we have done multiple factory resets. I did one that someone said was a DFU and a plan ol' factory reset, etc... Not sure the difference. However, when I do that I get the "hello" screen and am able to start setting the phone up anew. However, when I go to set the phone up as an iPod I end with the same result.
So, here is what I am doing (tell me what I am doing wrong):
Hello Screen
Asks me to select language and selecting: English
Select Your Country or Region: United States
Choose a Wi-Fi Network: select my home wi-fi network
Enter password: entered my home wi-fi network password
Activiate iPhone - wants me to enter Apple ID and Passwordsays that this iphone is currently linked to an Apple ID (k*******@gmail.com). Sign in with the Apple ID that was used to set up this iPhone.
Location Services - I have enabled location services
Set Up iPhone
Set Up as New iPhone
Apple ID
Options are to sign in with your Apple ID or Create a Free Apple ID
Or I could "skip this step"
I signed in with my Apple ID
Terms and Conditions - Agree
iCloud - I can select either to use iCloud or Don't Use iCloud - I selected use iCloud
Find My iPhone - I can select either to use find my iPhone or to not - I selected use find my iphone
Once I do this it says iMessage and FaceTime and shows the following:
my email
my other child's cell phone number
and my husband's work phone number
This is where things do not make sense. I only want the phone set up with the current child's email address. Where did I go wrong?

There are a number of Apple services: iMessage, FaceTime, iCloud, Game center, Find My iPad, etc.
Now, to share apps, music and books you need to have the same Apple ID:
iPad's Settings > iTunes & App Stores > Apple ID > Your purchasing Apple ID.
For the other service, your wife should have her own Apple ID.
All she needs is a valid e-mail address, apply Apple ID below:
