The Google Toolbar '''7.1.20110512W''' version does work pretty good in Firefox 5.0 by using the Compatibility Reporter extension. But not every feature works 100%.<br />

  • The little google search bar thats usually on the right side of my window is now gone after updating. how do i get it back?

i just updated my software and when i re-opened safari, the little google search bar thats usually on the right hand side of the window is now gone. how do i get it back?

Sorry. That is Safari 6's "new look".
Now they are copying Chrome and other browsers that combine them so that they don't take up so much space on your iPhone oops, I meant your screen.
Tabs are as big as a house as well, but that just seems to be a bug.

  • My newly bought i pad is not letting me doing anything. it is saying 'this ipad hasn't been backed up. backups happen when this ipad is plugged in, locked, and connected to wifi'. i have tried to powered off by pressing the top right hand button

my newly bought i pad 4(4gs), ratina display, is not letting me doing anything. it is saying 'this ipad hasn't been backed up. backups happen when this ipad is plugged in, locked, and connected to wifi'. i have tried to powered off by pressing the top right hand button till the red slide comes up. but it is not sliding to the right. could anyone help me out??

Locked, refers to the device being plugged in with "slide to unlock" being displayed on the screen.  To recap - your device will automatically back up to icloud when it is connected to power, the screen is locked, and it is connected to a wifi network.
-Wifi is required to limit impact on your data plan.
-Power is to ensure the device has sufficient power to perform the backup.
-Screen lock - to make sure the device is not in use - which could slow or stop the backup.
The initial backup may take some time.  Plug it in to the wall before bed, and make sure it is connected to your wifi network.  The backup SHOULD be completed when you wake up in the morning.
    Hope this helps.

I want to change region format back to Cambodia, but it's dose not exists in format list. So how can I do?

There never has been a Cambodia region format for iPhones.  It had to have been set for something else.  Try other available formats such as Vietnam or Laos.

  • I had a Google search bar before now with Firefox 5 I have no search bar at all?

I have updated to Firefox 5 and now I have no search bar. I had Google before, but when I tried to download this it said it was not compatible with Firefox 5.
Now I have no search box.

I had this same problem, but you can add the search bar back by going to View > Toolbars > Customize... then somewhere near the bottom of the list of objects you'll find the Search bar that you can then drag onto the navigation bar where you would like it to go.

FIrst try a soft reset by holding down the home & sleep/wake buttons until the Apple logo appears then let go & let the iPad boot up normally.
If that doesn't help then to make sure you have a strong internet connection.
    Try resetting Network Settings
    Settings->General->Reset->Reset Network Settings,
You won't lose any data but will have to log back into your wifi networks.
Once logged back in and when the pop-up appears, try entering your password again.

You can't. It's now integrated with the URL bar. It's a search/URL combo.

  • My command bar has disappeared, I only have a search bar. My bar with bookmarks, internet options, tools etc has vanised as well. Ron

My command bar has disappeared as well as my bookmarks, tools, internet options, etc. My only option is to use the google search bar.

    * If, on Windows, in Firefox 3.6 the menu bar is hidden then press and hold the Alt key down or press F10, that should make the "Menu Bar" appear
    * Go to "View > Toolbars" and check-mark "Menu Bar" with a click on it to make that permanent. See [[Menu bar is missing]]).
    * Make sure that you have the "Navigation Toolbar" and the "Bookmarks Toolbar" visible: "View > Toolbars"
    * If items are missing then see if you can find them in the "View > Toolbars > Customize" window
    * If you see the item in the Customize window then drag it back from the Customize window to one of the toolbars.
    * If, in "View > Toolbars > Customize", you do not see that item then click the "Restore Default Set" button

  • How do I get my google search bar back in the middle of my page insead of the Blank searh engine that is on my start up page now

Before I did the last upgrade with Firefox, I had the Google search bar in the middle of my start page. Now , after the upgrade, my Google search bar is up on a tool bar at top of the page and the when you type something in the large Firefox box in the middle of the page does nothing even though it has the Search box to the right of it. The restore last session is under that. I just have a large box in the middle of start page that does nothing. I wish that was my Google search box again.

''Restoring Google Search page as the home page''
What you are looking at on the web page is a '''search form''', not a search bar. Mozilla changed the default home page to '''about:home''' which is supposed to be faster because it is on your computer, but they piled on a few ornaments. There is a space which is essentially advertising space for Mozilla, or to tell you that you have a previous session available below the search form area.
You can replace that page with a real Google Search page http://www.google.com which like other Google pages has links at the top to other Google applications and tells you if you are logged into Google such as for GMail.
    "Alt" > Tools > '''Options''' > General >
:When Firefox starts: "Show my homepage":
    :Home Page: http://www.google.com
:Press "Ok" at the bottom of the options window.
Specific information on installing a home page is in
    :http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/How%20to%20set%20the%20home%20page
    ''Some problems with terminology''
The '''search bar''' is part of your toolbars and you can bring up any search engine you want in it.
Google has their own "Google Toolbar" extension, which you would do well to avoid.
The large empty space on the '''about:home''' default home page, is to tell you that you have a previous session available. You don't need that notification you can bring up your "Previous Session" from the History menu, and after that you can bring up previous windows (or all of them also from same History menu).
In fact if you would like to see the notification at the end of your session, enabling you to restore your current tabs see item #31 (#tabslost) in the following: ...
You can make Firefox '''Firefox 5.0''' look like Firefox 3.6.18, see numbered items 1-10 in the following topic [http://dmcritchie.mvps.org/firefox/firefox-problems.htm#fx4interface Fix Firefox 4.0 toolbar user interface, problems (Make Firefox 5.0, or 4.0.1, look like 3.6)]. I recently purchased a second hand new macbook air, although it was second hand to me the previous owner had never actually turned it on.
Something doesn't make sense here, though I'm not saying the previous owner is lying....

  • What is the address of the Firefox homepage that has a search bar? The homepage page addresses I've found don't have a search bar--one like I find on Google

Does Firefox always use Google to do searches?
I want to see my default page but "firefox.org" doesn't have a search bar.
I want to use firefox as my default browser.
    Thanks,
    dee

By default Firefox normally uses Google for searches, but you have many other choices.
    Also note
    # That the firefox searches all use the same search as that set in the search bar. <br /> That includes the searches from the address bar, and even if you right click highlighted text in a webpage.
#You can choose the search engine or install new ones <br /> [[Search bar - Easily choose your favorite search engine]] <br /> [[Search the web from the Address Bar]]

  • Why can't I have multiple search bars

I want to be able to have several search bars in one toolbar, to mimic Opera capability

Thanks, I've looked at that, but it doesn't replicate the function. What I was aiming for is an actual second search bar, always available, as well as the initial one.

How could anyone possibly know as you've provided no details.
What happens when trying to play the media in question?
    Any errors?
Is there an ! to the left of the media?  If so, this means iTunes is unable to locate the media file.
