I have got the ipod touch (4g)
And want viber on it. I have managed to install it but have not got a phone number to enter!
But I was thinking if I use my sisters phone number, and get code and activated it, will there be any ways or link that I could use to receive my own NEW phone number( given by the ipod touch company-)
that I could give to people so that we can talk and call for free?
Because I don’t want to be always be using her phone number! Plz reply A.S.A.P!
And if I do hopefully get a ipod number for viber, can I use the number everywhere, such as: text plus, text free and text now?!?!?

if for whatever reason i cannot have a new ipod number and have to use my sisters- will the mssg and the calls go to her phone if my freinds and contacts send them to me?

I bought an iPod Touch 5 from my friend today and uploaded all of my apps from my iTunes and got all of them Up-To-Date. Somehow after updating the World of Warcraft "Armory" app it says that the app needs to be updated even thou I updated the app. Nothing would work. I try deleting and reinstalling the app and still ask for update. I look in my Updates tap in the App Store but it says that All apps are up to date.
I have the simlar issue when getting the app for my Dad's iPad. Help me too please.

Not possible, there is a physical switch inside the headphone port, when the headphone jack is plugged in the switch is open and disables the iPod speaker and Bluetooth networks. Cheers.

No app on the iPod is required.
- If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected, on a computer browser go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up or conbtinue to show off-line.
- You can also wipe/erase the iPod and have the iPod play a sound via iCloud.

- If not shown, then you will have to use the old fashioned way, like if you lost a wallet or purse.
- Change the passwords for all accounts used on the iPod and report to police

Your only way is if you have the version that was compatible on your computer such as in the recycle bin/trash or in a computer file backup. In that case delete the current version that is in your iTunes App library and replace it with the older version. Then sync.

If you still have the one 2G with the Netflix app, delete the new NetFlix app from her computer anf then transfer iTunes purchased to the iTunes library by:

Then sync to her iPod. You may have to sign the iPod into the account that purchased it to sync it. -

We have several iphones, ipod touches, ipad and mac's if we all install icloud under the same apple account will they all sync together...we don't want that to happen!!
If any of you are like me, I had one single AppleID under MobileMe. Under my AppleID I had two additional Email addresses, one for my wife and one for her Mother. Each used their individual email accounts on their login on the home Mac and on their individual Iphones.
In order for them to not lose their email acounts when mobileMe goes away and/or you move your appleID acount from MobileMe to iCloud, you simply need to beaware of the folowing. Have each person with an email address under your AppleID MobileMe go to www.me.com; enter their email account and password in the corresponding fields. However, don't press the login button. Instead press the sentence under the login fields that says something to the effect of "do you want to move/migrate to iCloud. Follow the prompts from there.
In essence what Apple has done--albeit not communicated anywhere--is that they automatically created AppleIDs for each of those additonal email addresses you have/had under MobileMe. Therefore, use that email and password after moving from MobileMe to iCloud and your good to go. -

We are ipod users just like you. We cannot make any updates at all.
There will very likely no way that their will be any more updates for original or 2nd gen ipod touches. -
I have a white ipod touch 4 and it will not go into DFU mode. I know I am doing it right as I have 2 other black ones that I can put into DFU anytime no problems. The ipod works perfect besides that. Can anyone help?
DFU or Device Firmware Upgrade mode allows all devices to be restored from any state.

Yes. You can set the payment method to "None" once you log into iTunes on your PC/Mac. I have it set up this way.

My daughters just got an ipod touch today and I'm having trouble connecting it to my Wi-Fi network. It identifies my wireless connection but then says 'unable to join the network' with the word 'Dismiss' underneath. Any ideas on what I can do? Thanks!!Hi
Thanks for your reply. I've tried resetting a few times. There is no 'tick' next to the name of my wireless connection so it won't connect at all. I think I may have to do something with my router as there is an arrow button to press next to my wireless name, this takes me to a screen which asks for IP address, then has options for DHCP BootP and Static, it asks for Client ID DNS etc - all gobbledegook to me!! Perhaps my router is blocking the Ipod?

It sounds like you actually have a 2G iPod touch which can only go as high as iOS 4.2.1. See this article to help you identify what model and generation your iPod Touch is.
