If you mean that you are creating a new iTunes account then the gift card field is optional, it doesn't have to be filled in, you can enter your credit card details instead as your payment method - and no, there isn't a 'promo code'.

All iPhones sold in Japan are carrier locked. The Japanese carriers do not offer unlocking.
You can not use that phone on a carrier other than the one it is locked to.
Sell it and buy one you can use. -

That's because the device has not been synced to that computer. As per my earlier instructions... you will have to force it into recovery mode & restore as a new device.

CC is for retail use with 20 GB of storage space, CCT is where number of seats are purchased & assigned by one program admin where each seat gets 100GB of storage space.
You can not have both the CC & team in one account as it will only provide you added storage space of 120 GB but you can activate the CC any of them or either of them twice as CC is based on Adobe ID.

I updated my ipad air to iso 8 and now its asking for a vpn password I have never had one before, and even with my wifi shut off. It also will not let me sign in to my apple id, saying it is the wrong password, but I used it on my computer with no problem. to get to this blog.Tried restarting it, nothing, tried to shut off wifi nothing it will not let me do anything.

That is the Activation Lock
There no way around that without the previous owner's AppleID and password.

Try getting a refund for it. Unless you’re the device’s original owner, Apple won’t unlock it for you.

I have itouch model A1213 - I want to upgrade the software. itunes shows it is updated with 1.1.5 something, same everytime.

Is there a way to configure sync over wifi in itunes that works. I have done a bunch of reading and it seems many people are having issues making this work. My experience is that it sometimes works, and sometimes does not.
I have had limited sucess with three different iphones, ipads, and two different computers and two different wireless networks.

Depends on the app. If you have to create some sort of account within that app, theoretically signing in with the same account on the Mac version may have your data. No one would know here for sure unless they have experience with that app.
