So i stopped trying but would like to set it up between my iMac and iphone / ipad but can't get it to work, they say discoverable but just will not connect to one another. I also tried the connection code and tried without one ... NO JOY ... Is this common or am i a twit ?

You can't connect an iPhone or iPad to a Mac via Bluetooth, except for Internet tethering.
You're not doing anything wrong - it just isn't a feature of iOS devices.
What were you hoping a Bluetooth connection would allow you to do?

I was told it was just worn out. So I ordered another Octane from ebay, and it wouldn't connect to the internet. I was told by Verizon that the software had been changed. Do you have Automatic downloads enabled? Note this only works for items purchased after it is enabled.

Yes as long as you use the same Apple ID for iTunes that you used to download the app originally.

I just bought the apple tv. I have had an iPad 2 for a year.

I've updated everything, rebooted everything, including the router. Several times and in a bunch different orders. I unplugged everything. Plugged in the router and waited for it to boot. turned on apple tv and then ipad. I even turned off and kept off possible competing devices. Though I doubt my android is running interference.
Both devices are connected to the same network. I've checked to make sure that the router was to the recomended settings.

So I got is iPad as a gift and the same issues I had with my iPhone 4S is also happening with my iPad. Will Apple cover the problem as it lies within there updates or something. All I know I have taken perfect care of both products and volume is distorted. This really is starting to feel like a hardware issue than a software one.

After doing this I exported all my bookmarks and imported them to Safari, so at least I'll have a browser that works.

Hey there, for some reason, on my iPod Touch 4th gen, I have never been able to get iMessage to work.When I verify my email address to activate it, it automatically goes back and never allows me to do iMessage. Why is this or what should I do?

- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Go to Settings>General>Date&Time and make sure it is set to Automatic
- Go to Settings>wifi>the connected network and change the DNS to Google's 8.8.8.8
- Go to Settings>iTunes and App Stores and sign out and sign back in
