I have had to buy an GRAID 4TB to back up my images as I am a photographer and have huge files. Can I use my old timecapsule 2TB as storage for say 4 years of photography. My imac is getting full.
I am a photographer and have huge files so have had to buy a GRAID 4TB for backup and now have an old 2 TB time capsule not doing anything. Could I use the timecapsule as storage and transfer say a few years of images over to that and free up space on my imac. I do have the images copied onto other hard drives but feel I need more copies in case of external harddrive failure.

Can't give you a definite answer as I don't use a Time capsule, but if it is not being used for anything, why not try it out? My guess is you could use it for miscellaneous storage if you wanted to.

I have had to buy a new laptop because my old one crashed.(windows 7) . I have downloaded itunes but my music is not there when i sign in. Help
Your library is on your old Laptop on the HDD.
iTunes keep is library on your HDD (hard disk) maybe you can take out the HDD of your crashed laptop and recover your music files
To have a libray on the net (or cloud) you can use in the future iTunes Match, he upload you library on a cloud (on the net) with your account. So you can share and enjoy your music everywhere.
Hope i help

will check with them regarding the international aspect.
Please bear with me here, I'm a newbie and I dont know much. The store showed pricing in rupees. so I'm not sure I understand what u mean when you say they may be trying to charge in dollars.
No problem Anu-ji
The prices in the US store are in dollars - as you are paying INR - there is a conversion taking place somewhere and it is somewhat logical to believe that it is on the end of the bank card since Apple is not in the currency business (tho they know how to generate a lot of it!)
Let us know what your bank says - may be we can offer some other suggestions

I have an ipod touch but i don't have enough memory and 0I get an upgrade soon for my phone and i want the iphone but the thing is, can i have an ipod touch and an iphone on the same itunes account like can i use my money on my ipod account for my iphone
Your iPhone and iPod can share the same iTunes account. Apps can be freely shared and used by one or both devices. You can't use money in your iTunes account to pay for your phone, but purchased apps can be used by both the iPod and iPhone.

I have a problem with the synchronisation of my iPhone and iPad with Outlook 2007 on my 64-bit Windows 7 PC. For several years,
I have had no problems with the synchronisation by cord connection and iTunes between these programmes. However, a few months ago I decided to use Mobile Me. However, there were problems with duplication of calendars and then “rogue events” – which could not be deleted – even if deleted on Outlook and on the iPhone (or both at the same time) – they would just reappear after the next synchronisation. All other synchronisation areas (eg Contacts, Notes etc) work fine.
I have looked for help through the Apple Support Community and tried many things. I have repaired my Outlook. I have repaired my .pst file in Windows. I have re-installed the latest version of iTunes on my PC. I have re-installed the firmware on my iPhone. I have tried many permutations on my iPhone. I have closed down all Mobile Me functions on the iPhone. I have spent upwards of 24 hours trying to solve this problem.
What am I left with? Outlook works seamlessly on my PC. My iPhone calendar now has no events from my calendar, but does not synchronise through iTunes. Nor does it send events initiated on the iPhone to the Outlook. I am at the point of abandoning iPhones and iPads altogether. I need to have a properly synchronising calendar on my phone. Do you have any suggestions? In the control panel goto the "Lenovo - Power Manager" and click the battery tab, there is a maintenance button in there that will let you change the charging profile for your battery. (from memory, so exact wording may be off)
The lower the numbers you use there, the longer the battery *should* last. These batteries degrade faster at higher charge levels, however storing them at too low of levels is also not good for them... I've read that 40% is optimal, but just not realistic if you use your computer.

I need to synch my iphone, ipod touch and classic to a Mac that I have and 2 I am about to buy. I have legally paid for all my music. If I use migration on my new Macs and clone the original, can I use my iAppliances on all 3 Macs?
Yes.
You can authorize up to 5 computers to play itunes music ( pre-itunes plus). There is no limit on itunes plus ( all itunes music for the past several years) and imported music.
You can sync as many ipods/ipads/iphones as you like to each of your computers. -
Have a new iMac. can i use my old mini as an external cd/dvd drive?
Just got my new imac and have discovered it is without a cd/dvd drive. Since I have converted from a mac mini can I use the old mini as an external drive, and how do I do that if the response is yes?
I use LaCie.
My last cd/dvd burner was a LaCie, and it worked perfectly for three years before a bronze sculpture fell off a shelf and landed on it, putting a big dent right in the top of the metal case. I thought that would be the end, but it kept working perfectly, dent and all, for another two years before I finally replaced it.
When my current drive needs to be replaced, that will be a LaCie, too. Same with their external hard drives. And no, I don't work for them. -
have had my Iphone 5 since June. All of a sudden my other is 5.1GB and i'm almost out of space. How do i do i system restore , if thats what i should do and not loose by stuff
Hi jdbarrett1,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. This article has steps you can take for issues with "other" data taking up too much space:

I changed my Apple ID and had problems with my Account.Once iTunes Store had sorted those out I decided to back up on my 3 devices. Now my Notes and Reminders are all old ones and the new ones I created in the last few days have disappeared.
Ok. Found something that said to shut down and hold the option, command, p, and r keys on restart. Held them down for a few restarts and everything automatically signed in and works. Woohoo!!!

I originally bought an iMac 17 which crashed. Have now bought a second-hand iMac20. This has less preinstalled software, no iDVD, no iPhoto, Garageband, no iWeb. Can I use my original discs to restore these options to my new computer? Problems with this?
You might be able to depending on the age of the disc and the model of your newer used iMac. Only way to tell is to pop in the DVD and see if you can install the iLife programs.

I cancelled my OS lion download after a few minutes and told them I do not want it and they have not put the credit back on my account. I reported the problem and have heard nothing after a week. How do you get to talk to the "Store"
Amazingly the credit has appeared. Thanks to someone.

Can I use my old macbook as a disk drive for my new iMac?
My husband just bought me a new new iMac (yey!) but had assumed it would have a dvd drive (as you do). It doesn't. So can I use my old Macbook to upload cds and dvds and somehow import to my itunes on my new computer?
As long as your Macbook is up-to-date. Go to system preferences>Internet and Wireless>Sharing>check mark CD/DVD sharing.

My iPhone 4S accidentally fell into a very shallow bit of water. The phone was wet, but worked afterwards for a short bit. Now it's not working, so I called and got a replacement phone coming. Same exact phone. Can I use the old Sim card in the new phone without harming anything? I don't know if the sim card got messed up or not, but I had a lot of pictures and messages and my contacts on my phone, and I assume these were on the sim card or am I wrong? I just wan to know if I can use the old sim card if it's still working in the new phone that is coming, as long as there was no damage to it? Thanks
I think I had it on the iCloud, I just changed computers and had part of my old computer backed up, where are the default iTunes info saved like the pictures and I know my contacts were backed up cuz I kept getting updated stuff that I wasn't sure about, but it was contacts where some belonged to my wife's contacts....but anyway, if the cloud backed up contacts, it should have grabbed pictures too? Like I asked before, if they were backed up to the computer, is there a default iTunes folder they are saved to? I had a crap load of pictures on there that I usually could really access if I was connected to wi-fi. I turned off my data stuff as I only have 4GB and between me and my 2 kids, we seemed to use up a lot of it. My son would play music from Pandora during work, and use up all our data til I limited him to only 3GB, my daughter and I barely used 1GB. Anyway, thanks to everybody that is answering. I thought I might have done good finding the dang sim card, but pointless I guess.
Ralph - F.Y.I. I would be happy to back up the iPhone if I could turn it on LOL......I am pretty positive I did, but what about Text messages? ANY of those saved too or not? Sorry guys, I don't know a **** of a lot about cell phones, but I do know about memory cards, but not sim cards that act like memory cards or look like them anyway. What is the purpose of a sim card if I may ask a stupid question since they don't hold any data from my phone stuff. I just hope my stuff comes back on the new replacement phone once I get it up and running. Again, thanks to everybody for the edumucation.
