I have had to change my password several times today...Is someone hacking?
Why would someone be hacking? Why have you had to change your password? password for what? What OS are you running on your MacBook Pro? (iOS 6.1.4 is for an iPhone, iPad).

I recently downloaded Lion and since have had nothing but problems with my new i-Mac. My problem with the App store is only one issue. Has anyone out there had any trouble with their components after installing Lion 10.7??????? After several hours on the phone with a tech my situation isn't any better. I think the tech is sick of talking with me. He was supposed to call me today and the phone never rang. He told me he was working on something to repair my problems and needed to talk with engineers. How long could that take???? If it wouldn't hurt the person who gifted me this i-Mac, I would give it back.

After I browsed a page in a websit, I could not close that page by using the X in the rt. hand top corner as when I did this Firefox told me that it would close all tabs. It was the only way out so I closed them and started from scratch.
mratlasdreamz,
which app are you running when you get the annoying chime as you try to correct a typo?
If you’re sure that you have a 2.4 GHz Core 2 Duo CPU and 2 GB of 667 MHz RAM, then what you have is not a MacBook Pro, but an Early 2008 MacBook (did it really cost £2000 then?) — and with that model of MacBook, you could upgrade to Lion. Whether you stay with Snow Leopard or upgrade to Lion, you might find that upgrading your RAM from 2 GB to 4 GB could be helpful.
You can confirm which model you have by selecting About This Mac on the Apple menu, clicking the “More Info…” button, then clicking on the “System Report…” button, and looking at the “Model Identifier” value in the Hardware Overview section. If you have an Early 2008 MacBook, then the model identifier will say “MacBook4,1”. If it gives a different model identifier, then include that model identifier in your reply, and we can determine which model you have, and which CPU and speed of RAM it uses.
Note that Firefox 26 still supports Snow Leopard, and that Mozilla makes no CPU recommendations for Firefox on OS X other than “an Intel x86 processor”. -
I've just updated to ios5 and downloaded icloud. I have had to change my password 3 times already because both my iphone and ipad say it's wrong. They jam and I have to turn them off to clear it.. Cloud is starting to turn into a fog for me.
The store thing might be a good option, although at the risk of sounding too doom-and-gloom, I imagine that stores will be mobbed with this type of thing.
And I am completely with you about the password consequences. The more password changes, the harder it is to remember them (maybe it's a "benign plot" to get people to create stronger passwords)
I regret "jumping on this" before they worked out the kinks. It feels very beta. -
My apple ID password works for all of my devices but one. i only have one account and have changed the password several times but still cannot get it to work on my iPhone. any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks for the suggestion, Chris. I actually did not resolve the issue which is why i did not post an answer.
it turns out that my iphone seems to default to an incorrect User ID (it defaults to an @me account, which is not something that i have ever used).
even when i change the User ID in my settings for the iTunes store, it still appears when i attempt to get updates for my existing apps. however, it does seem to use the correct ID when i attempt to purchase new apps.
If someone actually had an answer to correct this, i would love to update my existing apps.
Thank you. -
Whenever i try to buy a new song or download an app my ipod says that "your apple id has been disabled" i have changed my password several times and it still says the same thing. What can i do???
This may provide the answer:
Apple ID: "This Apple ID has been disabled for security reasons" alert appears -
repeating error message reads: "valid apple id but not icloud account." when trying to start my icloud account. I tried downloading on a different computer and logging in and it did not work. I have restarted my computer several times. I have changed my password several times. I have tried to access the icloud page. Nothing has worked. Now I have this stupid app and some of my music is still not being shared on both of my computers.
I have the same problem signing in...but, I finally got a screen saying you have to set up a account on a device..like an ipad to get a iCloud sign in ...my apple id is [email protected] and this screen reset to [email protected]
If you don't have an apple device you may be out of luck. I don't know. I'm still waiting for help just as you are...good luck to both of us though. -
My apple id keeps getting reset. I have had to change my password at least 6 times in the last two weeks and it has now reset again
You probably are mixing up your password with passwords from other accounts. If i were you i would write down your password somewhere easy to acess and make it very hard to guess if you ever reset it.

Have changed my password several times now and it still says my password is wrong
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
iOS: Wrong passcode results in red disabled screen
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
For how to restore:
iTunes: Restoring iOS software
To restore from backup see:
iOS: How to back up
If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
You can redownload most iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store -

Hi
I had my iTunes hacked recently. My account has been disabled. Changing passwords and ID I cannot upgrade all my existing apps purchased on my own pad! Help please.Did you create a completely new account or update the existing one ? If you created a new account then any
content bought/downloaded via the old one will remain tied to that old account, and it can't be copied or transferred to a new account, so you will need to get your old account re-enabled in order to download updates to its apps.
You might be able to get it re-enabled it via this page : http://iforgot.apple.com
Or you might need to contact Apple : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/
If you've changed the password on the old account but the iPad isn't recognising it, then try logging out of your account on it by tapping on your id in Settings > Store and then log back in and see if that 'refreshes' it on the iPad. -
I keep getting "acct. disabled" and I have changed my password like it said to! How do I get my acct. updated??
See if this helps. http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2446

iCloud on my phone still shows 'old email ID' and wants the password. I have reset the ID(new email address) several times, and my phone does not update. Help! What am I missing?
Did you go through the steps in my earlier post?
If the password for your old ID is not accepted when you try to sign out, and the old ID is an earlier version of your current ID, you'll have to temporarily recreate the old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Sign Out and choose Delete from My iPhone when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign back in with your current iCloud ID and password. -
Please can anyone explain why I'm unable to connect to iCloud, it doesn't seem to accept my Apple ID and password, keeps saying unable to verify, I've changed the password several times to no avail, the phone is brand new and only purchased yesterday.

Something that annoys me about iTunes is that to be able to leave a review for an app sold on iTunes you must purchase the app first. This means that if you use a trial version of an app and it turns out to be a piece of c**p, like Tune-Up for iTunes
