Your iPod can only be synced with one computer at a time. If you try to sync it with a new computer/iTunes library, it will replace the contents of the iPod with whatever is in the new library. If all the content that is on your iPod is in iTunes, there shouldn't be a problem. Just go ahead and sync your iPod
Otherwise, you are probably wanting to copy everything from your iPod back to your PC first. If that is the case, you should probably disable the autosync functionality first by going to Edit -> Preferences, clicking the Devices tab, and enabilng the prevent iPods,iPhones, and iPads from automatically syncing option.
Before doing anything else, authorize the new computer with your iTunes Account. In iTunes, choose Store -> Authorize This Computer and enter in the correct credentials. Either copy a backup file from your old computer to your new one or create a new backup of your iPod in iTunes before letting it sync.
Then right->click on your iPod Touch from under the Devices section in the left hand pane of iTunes and choose Backup. You might also want to take a look at this article to see what it all included in the backup.

Now onto synced content such as music, videos, photos, etc. For iTunes purchases you can copy them back into iTunes by choosing File -> Transfer Purchases. Once the backup has been made and all other synced content such as music, videos, and photos are back in your iTunes library, restore your iPod from that backup you made earlier. Here is more on backing up and restoring your iPod.

The iPhone like all iDevices is not a storage device, it is merely a mirror of the content in the library to which it is synced.
If you wish to sync to a new computer, the first step is to copy or move the iTunes media library from the old computer to the new computer. This can be done via the network or by using an external hard drive.
Once the library has been moved, simply sync to the new computer.

Don't add files to the library that are already in it.
In particular if the option Copy to iTunes Media folder when adding to library is enabled and you repeatedly drag files located outside of the media folder into the library, iTunes will make fresh copies each time because that is what your actions are telling it to do...
In general I find it much better to move new files into the media folder before adding to the library, or just move them to the Automatically add to iTunes folder.
For your existing duplicates I have a script called DeDuper which can help remove them. See this thread for background.

Sometimes a computer glitch wil cause that problem. You just have to restore the iPod and resync.

Can't tell you exactly, as it can be used to facilitate piracy and Apple blocks this sort of thing from occuring (except for itunes purchased music)
But you can find out what your looking for at iLounge, i'd suggest that method for "mixed" music from different sources, that way you get it all back.
Next time, hit the iTunes menu and backup your library to disks, only takes a few minutes and a few DVD-R's.

I have multiple accounts using the same smtp server, I can only reply with one as the settings wont allow me 2 servers

I have tried to set my email to reply from my iphone 5 both of which use the same SMTP server. I can't change the settings on the others as it will only allow one mail account. Can I add multiple with the same smtp?

I Am not using gmail I use seperate company for my mails both use the same smtp server. The problem is when I set my first account it them uses these details and passwords when I create the second account saying that the smtp server is already in use by the primary account. No I have checked and it is not in any junk folder. When I joined apple I must have given them another email address which is no longer functional. Now caught in endless loop....I think I need to speak to apple rep to find out how to get out if this mess with old i.d.with a password that is impossible to find or change. I have quite a few apps on my ipad so I think I will need to try and find some way of keeping that I.d. and being able to access that account.

Can only surf with one laptop.

I have two MacBooks
Both can connect to my AEBS but only one can download web pages.
When I connect the one that can't download pages to the Guest network it can surf fine.
It used to be able to surf on the Private Network just fine but after a reboot it just stopped.
Nothing I can do makes a change.
