  • I updated to firefox 4 on my laptop (a touchscreen capable HP tx2z) and now I can't use the scroll on my mouse pad, I have to use my touch screen to scroll.

My computer is running windows 7, it's an HP tx2z touch screen laptop. My mouse pad scroll doesn't work on firefox 4. Also some features seem to missing such as the condensed menu bar and tab sorting that was spoken about in the introduction to firefox 4 video.

Apparently it's related to the Firefox plug in.
This isn't exactly a solution but more of a way to avoid opening PDFs with Firefox's plug in.
    1. Highlight "Tools" from the Menu Bar in the top left of the screen (or click "Options" if using the Firefox Compact Menu)
    2. Select to "Options
    3. Select "Applications"
    4. Look for "Adobe Acrobat Document" under Content Type and to the right under Action select "Use Adobe Reader (default)" instead of the using Adobe Acrobat in Firefox
    5. Open a test PDF. It should open in it's own window now.
Again, not a complete solution but something that'll at least let you scroll with PDFs open.

  • I have a totally unresponsive touch screen had been working fine, no water damage either

I suddenly have an unresponsive touch screen, had been working fine and no water damage or damage to the screen.  Have turned on and off etc.  Can any one help??

Sounds like a problem with the router installation/configuration (likely) or a DOA router (very unlikely).
Visit the forums for the router manufacturer (i.e., linksys, d-link, etc.) and ask for assistance there. There is probably a link to help listed in the router manual.

  • I have Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 & Premiere Elements 12 for windows.  I want to transfer the programs to my new HP 15 Touch Screen computer.   Then I wan to remove the program from my old HP computer.  How can I do this?

I transferred the files to my new computer but not sure how I get the Photoshop & Premier Elements to work.  What do I do once I have all the files transferred?

Just install them on the new computer. You can sign  out of Premiere Elements/Photo Elements on your old computer -- but signing in on your new computer activates the programs.
You can be activated on two computers on a single license for these programs.

    As the title says,
I would like to know if this tablet supports pressure sensitivity on screen. Or if it supports wacom stylus?
I am an Industrial Designer and would like to use it for my digital sketching.
    Thanks,

Hi. Unfortunately not. At least it's not mentioned in white paper so I wouldn't expect it to work.
Only those finger emulating but it isn't what you are looking for. But you can always give it a try in some showroom.

  • Can I use the new Firefox Beta for Win 8 on a non-touch screen computer?

I installed Win 8 on my somewhat old laptop (3 and 1/2 years old). I don't have a touchscreen on it, I don't want to use Internet Explorer, and I badly want to use the new tile Firefox and help it's development. I installed it and tried to enable tile mode but it is not offered in the settings at all. Is it possible to use it without a touchscreen?

    Hi Marko,
Unfortunately work on the tile interface was discontinued due to low interest. You can find more information here: https://blog.mozilla.org/futurereleases/2014/03/14/metro/
The code lives on, so the project could well be restarted in the future. But for the time being you can only use Firefox in its traditional "desktop" interface.
    Sorry for the bad news!

  • Touch screen does not work

I just got an HP elitebook 2760p.   Everything works...except that I cannot seem to get the touchscreen to work.   Whether the screen is up (like a regular laptop), or flipped down (like a tablet), it does not respond to fingers or to the pen that comes with the computer.  I have tried using the touch screen while using internet explorer, while using the "desktop" of windows 7, and also while booting up the computer with it flipped like a tablet.
There is probably a very simple answer...and once I get it, I'll feel like a beef mind, but for the life of me I can't figure it out.   I can't seem to find any swich to turn on, whether physical or in the windows setting pages.  The computer did not come with a manual, but I looked up on the online manual and there is no information on "how to use the touch screen"
Is there something that I must "turn on" in Windows 7, or a switch somewhere on the side of the computer which I need to flip to use the touch screen?   Could I be missing a driver?

Your EliteBook is a Business model.  Your issue would be best answered on the HP Enterprise Business Community Forum

  • Touch Screen Stopped Working

I purchased this ENVY 15-k020us a few months ago running Windows 8.1, and the touch screen no longer responds.  When I got it, the touch screen worked fine. After a couple of months, the touch screen was working sporadically, and then it stopped working all together. I found posts about similar issues in the forums but none of the solutions have worked. The touch screen is hidden in Device Manager, and I can't enable it because it says that it is not connected.  I tried updating the display drivers and BIOS, but neither of those fixed the issue.  I tried preforming a hard reset by removing the battery and holding the power button for 20 seconds and running HP Support Assistant, but the touch screen still will not work. I searched the computer for Tablet PC Settings and for Pen and Touch settings, but these features appear to not exist. I am not sure how to proceed from here, please advise.

    Hi again Syzygist,
It is good to hear back from you!
Since following the document posted above did not resolve the issue, I recommend returning your system back to a previous restore point. This can be done by following the steps in this document on Using Microsoft System Restore (Windows 8).
Should the problem continue, I suggest performing a backup and recovery of your operating system. This can be done by following the steps in this resource on Backing Up Your Files (Windows 8), as well as Performing an HP system recovery (Windows 8). This should return your system back to factory defaults.

  • Can i design a touch screen using just labview, i mean creating a vi and running it???

i juust want to design a touch screen using ñlabview, canbe a calculator program whit labview

I guess it would depend on the type of touch screen and computer that you are using. I don't have a whole lot of experience with touch screens, but isn't touching a touch screen equivalent to clicking a mouse button with a normal screen??
If this is the case, then if the operating system on that computer is supported by LabVIEW then it should definitely work. All you would need to do is build the LabVIEW program like normal, and put it on the touch screen computer.

  • L2015tm Touch screen - cant swipe properly on the edges in Windows 8

    Hi all,
I have a HP L2015tm touch screen running on Windows 8, all the Start gestures are done around the edges of the screen.
As this is a normal style monitor with touch it has a thick edge around the actual screen so when you go to swipe in from the edge you dont cant activate any of the gestures.
Even with a stylus it doesnt seem to registry the gesture.
Moving the mouse to the bottom left will bring up the start. but if you touch the bottom left it does not register.
I have tried using the built in windows touch calibration, after doing that the left and right side works a little better but still not very good.
Dragging from the top down to close an app does not register at all.
Does anyone else have this issue? or have any ideas?
The only other info I can find is on the Acer site, which a monitor had the same issue and Acer released a firmware for the screen that fixed it.
    Thanks

I am also having touch screen issues the swipe does not work from the left or right and I am not finding any answers.  I am aware we have a custom built video driver for the envy ultrabook touch and it blue screens the computer if you attempt to change the video driver.  Even after several calls to hp al i get is dont change any drivers unless you go through the hp support link.  I am a computer tech by trade and the lack of drivers are really exausting on my model of laptop.  If we upgrade to 8.1 it blue screens it to so I am stuck with these issues any ideas because I have even had my boss look at this thing and we still have not solution that dosent seem to turn it into a paper weight.

  • Windows 10 Touch Screen not working?

Mine works partially. Control Panel>>Systems says I have no pen or touch screen. Touching the screen works just as if I were using the mouse. Instead of scrolling through the start menu, for example, scrolling with my fingers causes the tiles to relocate. This is what would happen if MS wrote only an onClick() function where they should have had onClick() and onTouch(). Surely they're not that incompetent. Well...

Hi I had the same problem and found the best solution for the computer. Although hp always recomends that you have the newest updates to keep your computer running, one oh hp's newest touch screen drivers is not compatible with windows 10. So your best bet at getting your multi-touch compatibility working on your touch screen again is to use the previous driver. So these are the steps that helped me solve this issue. Step 1: Press the windows start button + the "x" keyStep 2: Select "Device Manager" from the list of optionsStep 3: Click the drop down menu for "Mice and other pointing devices"Step 4: If you have 2 drivers there then you have found the correct driver (If there is only one I will include instructions on how to find the correct driver for your computer)Step 5: Select your touch screen driver from within "Mice and other pointing devices" and double click on it to bring up the advanced optionsStep 6: Click on the "Driver" tab from within that newly opened windowStep 7: Click "Roll Back Driver"(That should have reset to the last touch screen driver your computer had. If you have removed the driver that I had you should now only have one driver in the "Mice and other pointing devices" drop down menu and you should have a few new drivers in the "Human Interface Devices" drop down menu)Step 8: Restart your device so that the computer can configure the changes in driversIf all goes well your touch screen should work like new again Now for those who had a single driver in the "Mouse and pointing devices" drop down menu~Complete steps one and two like you had in your first attemptStep 3: Click the drop down for "Human interface Devices"Step 4 : Look for the driver labeled "HID-compliant touch screen"Step 5: Select the driver by double clicking on itStep 6: Click on the "Driver" tabStep 7: Click "Roll back Driver"If the device was successfully rolled back go ahead and restart your device to let windows configure the device changes. If worked like it was supposed to your touch screen should work the way you want it.

  • Touch-screen sluggish on iOS 7?

Last week, I upgraded both my iPad 3 and my wife's iPad 2 to iOS 7.
Both of us have noticed that the touch screen, specifically the keyboard, is far less responsive than it was when we were running iOS 6 on our respective devices.
I know these iPads are a bit older, and we should expect some slowdown in performance. However, the keyboard is borderline unusable.  Because responsiveness is so poor, typed words often come out in a jumble that not even AutoCorrect can fix.
Is anyone else having problems like this on their older-gen iPads? If so, has anyone uncovered a resolution to this sluggishness?
    Thanks much!

The next step would be to restore the ipads. you would need to make backup first (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1766). then restore http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414
