If you have iTunes 11 on your computer then you can enable the left-hand sidebar on it via option-command-S on a Mac, control-S on a PC - when connected (and if your computer's iTunes is up-to-date) your iPad should then appear on that sidebar under a 'Devices' heading :
If you select the iPad on that sidebar you can then use the Movies tab on the right-hand side of the iTunes screen to select and sync that film to your iPad's Videos app.

Most likely you have Office 2004 which are PPC-only applications and will not work in Lion. Upgrade to Office 2011. Other alternatives are:

Try rebooting the computer and restarting the device.
Try a different cable.
In rare cases fluff in the connector port can prevent proper contact with the connectors used to transfer data. An air duster or thin piece of card or plastic can be used to tease out debris if that is the problem.

Check your Downloads folder for file possibly ending .dmg. If it's not there, and you use Safari check in its Preferences>General panel to see where downloads are directed to. If you use another browser check its preferences to see where downloads should go.

It may have used the YouTube app that is no longer included in iOS. Try downloading the YouTube app in the App Store and see if it works.

Hi Momperi,
Error - 1712 could mean a time-out. Reason not clear.
Hold down the shift key when launching Numbers. That will stop it trying to launch a corrupted document that was not closed when you last quit.
Try launching Numbers in another user space.
Try deleting the .plist file (call back for help with this).
You may have to delete Numbers and reinstall from App Store. (call back for help with this).

My iPad 2 will not allow me to update my apps. When I hit the update button I get a spinning circle but then it times out and doesn't update. In the past when I have updated successfully, the spinning circle would show me an indicator of time left on the update. I no longer have this Indicator. The circle just spins and times out and nothing happens. I've reset the iPad in the settings menu, reset the router, logged in and out of Apple id, powered ithe iPad off and on, and tried a couple other "fixes" that I've read online. So far no luck. AAny help would be greatly appreciated. Much thanks!
How much free space do you have? If it is low, installers may not be able to run properly.

I have a macbook pro 10.8.5 and the Application Safari will not open no matter what i do, I try to open the menu of Safari but it won't let me either, the mouse will just be loading. My granddaughter put the Start Up Disk in the drive inadvertently and now the drive will not eject it or start up using the HD. I have tried all of the suggestions for opening it that appear in the manual. Help? It is her computer, a iMac G3 or G4 with superdrive, the one with the ball shaped base. Thank you.
It's a tray loading drive, there should be a little hole next to it, just large enough for a paper clip. Stick the end of the paper clip in it and the tray should open.
